No pressure at all making something for Torbjörn ;-) Lovely handle, I'm sure he'll love it, and I look forward to seeing what he comes up with in return.
Beautiful handle, the attention to detail you two put into your work is inspiring. I love to watch how you look again and again for anything that is not good enough. That's an Old World skill. Thank you both for caring, and passing that on to us.
Great looking handle. I bought one with a wooden handle and it is almost new but I didn't know I needed to use them in one direction. Thank you again for the great videos.
@@danielmoss2089 yeah I sent you 1 back didn't you receive it but just in case you didn't I can't afford it being on a small fixed income and raising 2 young kids so I am thinking bout just giving this whole thing up
Just picked up one of your brushes off your etsy store. At $60 a pop, they're about 4x the cost of buying them in the States, but I'm curious to see if they last longer. If you've had yours for 6 years and it's still working, that's pretty impressive. I've never been able to get one to last 2 years even when paying close attention to the brushing direction! Maybe the gluing and oiling makes a difference? Maybe your supplier simply has better quality brushes than we can source in America? Regardless, I'm glad to help support a fellow blacksmith. Keep up the great work.
@DaneilMoss....Oh. Forgot. I know it's not blacksmith video but I dearly love the igloo ice house video. He like you are in my top 5 go to Smith's. Every one of yall are number 1 for different reasons at different times. So 5 number one Smith's for me, each w a slightly different take and technique. Hope that brings a smile to your face and a perkyness in your heart. Much respect for you and him , mr. Roy, mr. John and mr. Chandler. That's not at all to downplay any other in the very least, everyone is great in there own way. Joey, Tim, Ting Ting...man there are so many great names w great content. But for sure you are my very favorite Daniel Moss!!! Blessed days sirSir, Crawford out
You can fire weld that wrapped style of handle onto fireplace sets and such Dan, blends easier if you draw the flatbar to a point on the flat (if that makes doesn't make sense unwrap a cardboard tube and take a look at how that's done). Something similar to a penny end can be made to fill in the 'hole' at the back of the wrap, again that can be fire welded although it's a bit of a tw-t to do. I saw a few set's done like that in an old Smith's shop in Holland, they're not very common though, nicely done.
You don’t know where you will learn something new for each day. Keep searching for it because I now know that a brush is used for longer time when used in one direction.
What a beautiful, beautiful handle and i don't mean to critical but and i'm being picky but two nice black domed headed slotted screws would have just finished off your lovely handle off perfectly i do apologise for being picky. but lovely work and thank you.
I dont know if this was intentional but the silent entry and lack of commentary felt very like Torbjorn style. (you normally do you intros). Regardless it felt very fitting and was as relaxing as his videos to watch. Awesome stuff as always.
If the world used more handcrafted items like this beautiful crafted handle. Instead of the 99 cent Chinese stamped crap from box store. There would not be a need for larger landfills.
i like all of his videos but i think the spider stands out watching you roll that handle give me an idea i wonder what the pattern would look like if you used round 15n20 and flat 1095 and forge welded for a knife you could do a collab with a knife maker i bet it would have a nice patteren
wow that is a really neat looking handle nicely done ! My favorite video of his is still the video where he made the bolt tongs, it was one of the first videos I'd seen on blacksmithing and I've gone back to watch his version several times. th-cam.com/video/JmBXrC4S5as/w-d-xo.html
Also a favorite of mine and a great place to get info on making bolt tongs. thank you for the great comment. PS ill send hammer pictures tonight and there are some pictures of the cap im sending you on the etsy.
I think it looks a lot worse on camera but your right it's a tip. I really need to sort it. Not an good reason but one reason is the fact I'm super busy. I have about four jobs on the go in the work shop and a part time job that eats up about 24-30hrs a week. Plus making videos for TH-cam. Sorry for the mess wish it was better but time lol

surprised your work shop is so messy, dirty rags, tools of varied sort in chaotic order...pile of debris to trip on..etc..
