    I have used this for a long while when I switched from penhold to shakehand. It is a blade that require you to improve your stroke to get the power out of it. I have a Timo Boll ALC now but I still swich between them often, the all wood feeling is just great.

      the Korbel is a looping blade whereas the Clipper is for smashers/short pips players.A nice blade but way too slow for the modern game.Speed glue ban + ball material changes rendered classic blades and rubbers obsolete.Even players with impeccable technique who could generate their own power like Waldner switched to soft Carbon blades.The Clipper still works for hitters though.

      @@dickn.ormous1064 if you think the clipper is slow and only for hitters, you are not using it right. Good technique gives the clipper great power - probably not as much as carbon blades but easily one of the best in the wood blades. Then again you probably think you are as good as Waldner anyway.

    2:40 Here Dan had to perform the final Person-style backhand shot. It would look great. ;) But he didn't. Decided not to risk, but in vain.
    3:52 - Lovely shot. I would also like to master this. Looks very impressive in the game. By the way, what is it called? Sidespin chop-block?
    I like to play with 7-ply wood-only blades (used to play with STIGA Clipperwood, Korbel SK7) and now I play with Butterfly Hadraw SR blade, which is 7-ply wooden blade with outer wenge layers.
    IMHO this type of blades goes well with chinese rubbers like Hurricane or Skyline (I personally play with Hurricane 3 on my forehand side). I do confirm that this type of blades is very good for blocking.
    ClipperWood-like blades are basically not so fast (conparing to modern OFF carbon blades). And it's also very good because fast blades are absolute evil for amateurs. :)

    You forgot to mention Peter Karlsson,including Jurgen Persson and a former team mate from Saive from Russia.You are right to mention control but you forgot to mention SPIN AND FEELING that's Stiga identity.

    According to your chart TB ALC is two points higher on both speed and spin against Clipper. I think it is countrary to the principal that these two indicators are on different poles, aka speed up, spin down.

      Speed and spin are not mutually exclusive. I tried several 7-ply OFF wood blades with better speed and spin then Clipper, but they do not play better for me.

    Power is nothing without control! This blade with tenergy 05 is enough for most players plus the serve is easier with it also

    Please make a review on both the Tibhar Samsonov Force Pro and Force Pro Black Ediition. Thanks.

    • @АлексейПешков-г8ь
      @АлексейПешков-г8ь 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried Black Edition as Clipper Wood substitute but it does not play similar. Black Edition is faster, spinnier (and spin-sensitive), but less powerful then Clipper. Clipper is better at block, at middle distance counter and away from the table. Samsonov BE is only better for aggressive play close to the table.

    ohh... i need to know what rubber is used for these review of blades. It means a lot, what rubber is used on the blades :)
    Tenergy 05 is excellent on this blade, and give the same feeling like ALC but more control. Same crispy sound, spin and power.

    That blade looks great with metal insignias. They should make it permanent on every Clipper sold from now on.

      The insignia look nice, true, but I find them very irritating when playing. Sometimes your finger touches the metal plate, sometimes it doesnt... drives me crazy. Thats why I finally decided to put tape over the metal plate... :-/

    Do you think this blade together with the Dignics 05 on both sides would be a good combination for improving technique and learning to play with more spin/wrist?

    • @АлексейПешков-г8ь
      @АлексейПешков-г8ь 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      IMO Clipper is not for spin manipulation game. Clipper is best at block, smash and power looping. Not best for thin and wristy game.
