    I have used this for a long while when I switched from penhold to shakehand. It is a blade that require you to improve your stroke to get the power out of it. I have a Timo Boll ALC now but I still swich between them often, the all wood feeling is just great.

      the Korbel is a looping blade whereas the Clipper is for smashers/short pips players.A nice blade but way too slow for the modern game.Speed glue ban + ball material changes rendered classic blades and rubbers obsolete.Even players with impeccable technique who could generate their own power like Waldner switched to soft Carbon blades.The Clipper still works for hitters though.

      @@dickn.ormous1064 if you think the clipper is slow and only for hitters, you are not using it right. Good technique gives the clipper great power - probably not as much as carbon blades but easily one of the best in the wood blades. Then again you probably think you are as good as Waldner anyway.

    2:40 Here Dan had to perform the final Person-style backhand shot. It would look great. ;) But he didn't. Decided not to risk, but in vain.
    3:52 - Lovely shot. I would also like to master this. Looks very impressive in the game. By the way, what is it called? Sidespin chop-block?
    I like to play with 7-ply wood-only blades (used to play with STIGA Clipperwood, Korbel SK7) and now I play with Butterfly Hadraw SR blade, which is 7-ply wooden blade with outer wenge layers.
    IMHO this type of blades goes well with chinese rubbers like Hurricane or Skyline (I personally play with Hurricane 3 on my forehand side). I do confirm that this type of blades is very good for blocking.
    ClipperWood-like blades are basically not so fast (conparing to modern OFF carbon blades). And it's also very good because fast blades are absolute evil for amateurs. :)

    Stiga Clipper Wood definitivamente es la mejor cuchilla que un joven jugador puede elegir en sus inicios para llegar a lo más alto. Clipper se adapta perfectamente a las gomas MXP, yo diría que se adapta mejor que a Tenergy. Clipper tiene un mayor arco que las cuchillas de carbón. Tenergy O5 Hard puede ser un buen ensamble para FH y BH. El jugador establecerá todas las bases reales del TT.

      Yinhe PD437 is faster, spinier and harder. And it is much harder to control 437. Sanwei Fextra is very close to Clipper Wood except infamous red inner plies.

    Скажите, какая разница между clipper 40 и clipper wood? Слои вроде одинаковые... Просто новый металлический значок на рукоятке? Или же что-то в слоях изменили(толщину или еще что добавили)? И второй вопрос чем играет второй игрок ? Третий вопрос: какие накладки наклеены на тестируемом основании?.

    That blade looks great with metal insignias. They should make it permanent on every Clipper sold from now on.

      @nulldemokratiezwei7773 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The insignia look nice, true, but I find them very irritating when playing. Sometimes your finger touches the metal plate, sometimes it doesnt... drives me crazy. Thats why I finally decided to put tape over the metal plate... :-/
