Thank you for doing this video! People better not come at you in the comments and if they do, that is just plain silly. We are allowed to like and dislike different things! It’s so fun to watch these types of videos :) Most of the styles/fabrications you chose I feel the exact same about. And thank you for sharing about how you were doing at the beginning. I appreciate you being honest and hope you are feeling better today. sharing these things do help, and I appreciate you very much.
You’re very welcome! People have been very kind and thankfully 😂 I’m glad we can share our likes and dislikes in this community! Awww thanks so much. I appreciate that I can be open and honest with all of you. I appreciate you as well! 💕 I’m feeling a lot better today. Talking a little bit about it definitely helped and filming helped! Thank you for all of your support. Hoping you have a wonderful Sunday 🥰❤️
Definitely a learning process to figure out what works. I steer away from items with too much white because it seems to have this weird staining, especially in older patterns. Maybe that glue issue or maybe white just dulls or yellows over time. Multiple compartment bags confuse me because I can’t remember what I put where, especially if the compartments are similar in size (the the multi compartment bag). My TZHs sit unused. I generally need something bigger and some things I carry are just not that flat. Fun video!
I absolutely agree! It’s all trial and error with some of these styles. The multi compartment confuses me too as sometimes I can’t figure out where I put something either. My TZH also sat around unused so I ended up parting with them and I much prefer a mini Carson to a TZH. Thank you so much for watching!
Totally agree! VB is going backward in quality: plastic hardware, flimsy/thin straps, a zillion patterns each year (when it seemed like fewer patterns yielded more attractive ones back in the day, IMO), all kinds of strange fabric configurations. I feel like VB trying to be “all things to all handbag buyers” has resulted in their decline in sales in recent years. BTW, I purchased two VB vintage totes in excellent shape recently at a thrift store. The quality of those bags…hardware, padded straps and the overall “look” of the patterns (both pre 2010) are more unique and “quality” than what I see from VB today. I think the abandonment of some of the elements that once made the VB bag “one of a kind” has occurred to cut costs/increase profits. I also feel like the company has forgotten their older customers and are trying to appeal to mainly a twenty something market….they push that “back to campus” marketing angle a lot. That’s okay If they want to aim their product at a different buyer, but I prefer their patterns and quality from yesteryear. Loved your video…a lot of good points made.
I completely agree with all of your choices. Your opinions particularly resonated with me where the All In One Crossbody and the Sling Backpacks (both sizes) were concerned. The All In One is too bulky without having the ability to carry much more than phone and cards/notes, and the Sling Backpacks are fine if your tall and thin and a teenager but doesn't sit well for those of us who have a more mature shape and/or always have kids in tow. Thanks so much for doing this list. 🌺🌼
I'm so happy to see you do this tag video!! 🥰 Before I even say anything else, though, giant virtual hugs! 🤗 Whatever you're going through, I send all the good vibes and positive karma and prayers (whichever of these works best for you!) your way! Life is just down right hard sometimes, so I genuinely hope you start feeling better. 💜 I agree with so much on your list. 😅 I'm still trying to make the TZH work for me from time to time, because I love the patterns/colors I have in this style. But, alas, I struggle with it. I don't like having to stack my items, either, or the fact that the bag is so thin. But I'm gonna struggle with it some more before I give up completely! 😅 I haven't tried the utility crossbody I got yet. I love the way the material feels on it, so plush, but no clue if I'll actually like the bag or not. And I agree, I don't care for the plastic hardware and seatbelt straps, either. I keep wondering if they made that change on these types of bags to fit the "utility" aesthetic. I'm not sure, but I wholeheartedly agree, they should've stuck with a NICE strap and regular metal hardware. The TCC I've actually used a lot the past year or so, but I end up using it kind of the way you describe wishing you could use the all in one's. It holds my small wallet, phone, keys, mask, chapstick, and sanitizer. That's literally it. 😅 But on the days when I need the true bare minimum, I like them. If I need even one more item I gotta move out. 😅 But, I mainly keep these for the same reason I keep my TZH's... I love the patterns/colors I have them in. 🤦♀️😅 All in ones, yeah.. I have a hard time with these, too. It's too bulky for me as a wallet, but not large enough as a small crossbody, so I don't really use these either. Although I am jealous of the people that can use these as small crossbodies. 😂🤦♀️ How do they get everything that they need inside these little things?! Same for the phone wristlet thing. I've never bought one of those because I know it won't be my jam. The slings and tech products, well you know how I feel about those. No thank you. 😅 And I don't care for the straw bags, either. I actually think a couple of them have been cute, but they seem a bit cheap (not worth the money) to me. Plus, I genuinely don't think they would last very long just by the nature of the material. But, I have to admit, I took my daughter into an outlet store a couple years ago and she saw one of those straw crossbodies and fell in love with it. The only 2 things she asked for were that straw bag and one of the throws, so of course I gave in. 😅🤦♀️ She still has it in her little bag collection, and it hasn't fallen to pieces yet, so they must be better quality then I think they are. I still don't care for them, though. 🤷♀️ Anywho, fantastic video, and I'm so glad you did this tag!! I hope you have a fabulous Sunday!! 💜
Amber, thank you so much for your love and support! It means the world to me! Lol I had a feeling some our items would be the same 😂😂 the TZH I tried making it work but couldn’t. Same with the All in One and Smartphone wristlet! It’s very difficult to make those items work for me. Your story about your daughter loving the straw crossbody was so cute! 😂 I’m really glad she loves it!! It’s just one of those fabrications that doesn’t appeal to me even though some of the styles are really cute! Thank you so much for watching as always! And thank you again for the tag I had so much fun filming this video ❤️
Its so funny because I love the triple zip hipster. But you're right about it getting bulky. I use that and also another big tote bag from VB as well for my essentials while at work or whatever
Thank you glam pea for doing this video! Its weird because if I had done this video I would have chosen all of the same items to discuss for absolutely the same reasons with the exception of the deluxe tote I'd like to try it. The other pieces you chose I had very similar sentiments about. Even down to loving the tcc at first. And yea vera the details matter ie silver fasteners etcetera.
OMG, your bird is cracking me up! He is like nodding his head like he is constantly agreeing with you! Then when you read your notes, he looks down like he is reading them also. It is also so cute how he like teases you buy going to nip your ears. Plus I like when he switches shoulders. So cute.
Your comment made me giggle 😂😂 she can be quite the joy to film with. Often times I don’t really notice her shenanigans until I watch the video 😂 I do love her “tiny” bites! The ones which aren’t painful haha. Thanks for watching 💕
Thank you for being so positive and encouraging! It sounds to me like maybe VB should consider some bag designs that flatter different body types. What I got from your video is that most of their bags cater to people of a particular shape and size, but we’re all different. I hope they do come out with more variety and that you find wonderful things you like!
Great vid! I used the RFID all in one crossbody for a few years. I typically put my keys in the coin pocket or I clip them on the strap. I would overstuff it with a couple of emergency pills, a few tissues, and a a couple of small pieces of paper or my business card. But then where did the pen go? In my pocket shorts or skirt pocket... when I had a pocket. I'd remove the strap and keep it in my backpack as a massive wallet in the winter. My mom has used the same crossbody, but she's either overstuffing it or carrying stuff separately, which means the crossbody isn't working for her, but she insists she loves it and doesn't want to use anything else. The other day I got frustrated with how much space it took in my small, non-VB backpack. I bought the VB small backpack and the RFID small bifold wallet. The small bifold may be too small for me, but I'm trying to lighten the load on my back, so maybe it'll be fine. I will save the crossbody for days when I go to outdoor festivals or other walking-heavy events. Perhaps I need one of many different things and it'll all work out.
My experience with the Triple Zip Hipster and the Triple Compartment Crossbody is you have to keep it very simple with what you put in them. Minimum is key 😅. I own both but my favorite out of the 2 is the Triple compartment Crossbody because the compartments are side by side versus on top of each other in a since with the Triple Zip Hipster. The Triple Zip meh 😐 but the Triple Compartment I do like and own a few. I also have 1 medium Compartment Crossbody (because they were sold out of the regular size in that pattern 😅) which is smaller but it has a small built in wallet so I can eliminate at least 1 item 🙂. Just to add the profile of both is meant to be slim I suppose so yeah minimum is key of what to put in a notice 🙂. Just my experience with those 2 but I carry the Triple Compartment Crossbody way more. My 2 Triple Zips are collecting dust 😂.
I’m glad you had a better experience with the Multi compartment 😄 it makes me happy when people can make something work for them! I know you have to keep it simple but I was struggling with how to pack it without one side bulging and trying to get stuff in all three compartments. I didn’t know the medium triple compartment had a built in wallet! Might need to look into that. Thank you so much for your insight and for watching 💕
@@TheGlamPea27 But I do agree with you, it can be challenging with both. I do sometimes want to carry more but know I can't 😂. It is a struggle sometimes 😅.
I totally agree with the new solid cotton crossbody straps. I got the utility crossbody, and I hated the way the strap felt. Also it would shift a lot and cut into my neck.
I'm with you on the TZH. Do not like the regular hipster either. And none of the phone wristlets work for me as I have an android fone. And they don't fit in the wristlet. Thanks for a great video.
Yes! I can't do any of the hipsters except the little hipster. It has a completely different shape and it works for me. Thank you so much for watching! :)
I love the old TZH. The ones with the black interior. I only have three of the newer ones. I don’t use them too often. Definitely use my older ones more. The older styles hold a little more. I items I would never buy are the Totes. I don’t like Vera totes for some reason. I have two older styles and those I like, but even then I don’t use often except for travel. I would also not buy any Carson bags or Triple Compartment bags. They just are too small for me. I do have bags from other brands similar in size, but those seem to fit so much more.
I’ve never personally tried that one but I’ve heard good things about that particular style. I know a few people who love that style. I might have to try the older style to see if that one works better. Yeah, totes aren’t a love for everyone depending on what you carry and what you need. The Carson mini can be small but I find it works better for me than the TZH. I agree with you on the Triple compartment. Felt I couldn’t get all my essentials in there properly. I have a small Jenni from Lesportsac and it’s small but fits all my essentials and I love it! Sometimes other brands have comparable items that just work better 😄 thanks for watching ❤️
I'm sorry you were feeling down. I would love a let's chat video. I know we try for happy content and when you're not feeling your best it's hard to get into it. Thank you so much dear friend 💕 I really appreciate that! It really is hard to film when you’ve had a rough day but I felt a lot better after having filmed. Glad you feel the same way about some of these items, makes me feel less terrible 🤣 I appreciate you appreciating the honesty. Love ya too sweet friend ❤️💜
MY 1st thought when hearing “They bought the tech accessories and THEY’VE DIED” was that the CUSTOMER DIED! I think b/c showing photo of cord made me think of quality/safety issues and I thought someone got electrocuted. I quickly realized what u meant but there was that split second…😱!!
Oh don’t even get me started on the sling 😂 I think it is just the most ridiculous thing 😂. I also don’t like anything straw. Love Lychee! I wouldn’t apologize for any of this; I enjoyed the video.
Haha I just can’t do the slings either 🤣 I agree with you on the straw. I don’t hear a lot of people talking about those items. Thank you so much! I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
@@TheGlamPea27 the thing about the straw too is that when I was in high school (too long ago to say when that actually was 😂), we all carried these sort of round, woven straw bags that were popular at the time. And the rough straw would actually ruin any fabric on any part of your clothes that would rub against the bag. It would create pulls and also completely wear the surface of the fabric. It was terrible. After I saw that happening, I said never again with straw bags. I think I was traumatized 😂
I love my all in one!! Ive been using it for over 5 years and im using my third one right now.. since i work in the mall its perfect for me to go grab something to eat on my lunch or just a quick shop. It can fit my phone perfectly and i have a hook on my keys so i can easily hook on the straps..after i use for so long its hard for me to go back to a regular wallet😂
Hi my friend, thank you so much for showing this video as always I enjoy your videos they are so informative and fun. Never let anyone take your joy and remember God is always with you. I’m still trying to use my 100 bag 😂 and the Carson shoulder bag some of my little things I have to eliminate. Anyway thank you again for this video and big love hugs to you😊💕
Thank you so much dear friend. Big hugs to you as well 💕 I have a lot of little things I want to eliminate as well. I have the Carson which I’m trying to use! thanks so much for watching!
Vera Bradley isnt infalliable at all. I buy a lot of it used or off the outlet site. Its a great value and a way to get a lot of product for what you would spend for like 3 items at regular pricing
Their new recycled tote bags seem way cheaper even in how they're now made! No zipper, straps not sewn all the way to the top of the bag, no strapping underneath it, no lining. ( It's quilted in.) And different labels? It's a shame.
Wish you didn't feel like you had to be apologetic, nothing you said was hurtful-and you're very careful in how you express what you dislike about certain VB items. You're under zero obligation to like everything, no one "owes" it to anyone or anything to have to hide their genuine reactions/opinions. These are your thoughts on some handbags, for goodness sake-not a valid excuse for people to conduct themselves unkindly/rudely. I have a few of the styles (TZH, Deluxe Travel Tote, TCC) you list, and while I do use them on occasion, I also recognize their shortcomings-they're not among my favorites nor the most often used. Those in particular look pleasing to me (before one actually tries putting stuff inside) yet don't really work so great, in terms of functional utility/storage capacity. Sharing your perceptions gives viewers some rewarding validation when our responses overlap, makes me feel better about "everyone said how great this style was, and I thought it would be too-so I bought it...but now I'm not so enthralled"...or when it comes to styles I've skipped altogether, despite the hype from VB about "look at this exciting improvement/new feature" and meanwhile I'm thinking "you made it worse-did you think I wouldn't notice/figure that out ?". Don't like the seat belt strap nor fact that it's sewn directly on to the bag, with the "Utility" line of recycled cotton...and then the plastic hardware on top of that-no thanks ! Feel same as you about straw fabrication-just thinking of the word "straw" makes my skin start to feel itchy & irritated, those sorts of rough materials are a sensory nightmare for me.
Thank you for your comment! I definitely feel better about how I explained my dislike for the items I mentioned. We all can’t love everything and I thought this was a fun video idea regardless 😃 and people have been kind despite my unnecessary assumption that I would get a lot of hate for this. This community is just wonderful and supportive! 💕 I agree with you. Sometimes you think a style will work out (and is hard to resist because of they way it looks visually) but then you get it and realize it doesn’t work for you. We’ve all definitely been there! The utility line I wanted to enjoy but just couldn’t and hope they revamp it. I quite like the plushiness of the material but it’s the straps I can’t get past. I also agree with the straw material - was never drawn to it to begin with and it’s just one less thing I’m spending money on. I love when I can save my money with Vera. 😂 thanks so much for watching!

@@verabradleybagoftheday oh gosh lol! That would have drove me nuts! I would have been traumatized as well 😂
I love my all in one!!
I am so glad you love that style!! I know a few people who love it and it always makes me happy when someone can make something work out for them 💕
Hi my friend, thank you so much for showing this video as always I enjoy your videos they are so informative and fun.
@@TheGlamPea27 I can’t use all of my little bags and pouches inside of the 100 bag or the Carson shoulder bag 🙁
Unrelated question, but what is your nail polish? I love it!
I couldn't agree more with everything you said!
Vera Bradley isnt infalliable at all. I buy a lot of it used or off the outlet site. Its a great value and a way to get a lot of product for what you would spend for like 3 items at regular pricing
Hate the plastic hardware!
Their new recycled tote bags seem way cheaper even in how they're now made! No zipper, straps not sewn all the way to the top of the bag, no strapping underneath it, no lining. ( It's quilted in.) And different labels? It's a shame.
I agree with you on every item! I loved the video. And I’m cracking up at angry bird. Haha. ❤️
😂😂 angry bird 😂
This is Elizabeth Godwin from the buzz, btw, this account is still under my maiden name. Just to confuse everyone. 🤷🏻♀️🤣
@@ellec6874 oh hey!! Thank you for clarifying who you were 😂 it is so nice to see my fellow buzzies here 💕😍
Wish you didn't feel like you had to be apologetic, nothing you said was hurtful-and you're very careful in how you express what you dislike about certain VB items.

I don’t like the triple hipster either, it looks out dated as well
