    If anyone wants to see/learn more about alligators and other crocodilians, I highly recommend checking out Gatorland's official TH-cam Channel and definitely visiting the park itself if you ever find yourself in the central Florida area! Their staff are some of the most dedicated and kind-hearted people I've ever seen when it comes to crocodilian care! 😊🐊

    It's so great when a habitat has a non-standard layout (as compared to just a fenced-in rectangle) and this build is such a good example of why -- it just looks so nice, and makes the space so much more visually interesting for guests! I always enjoy when you talk through your creative choices / the hypothetical history of the zoos + habitats you build as well, it's such a fun way to breathe some extra life and uniqueness into the designs.

    Did you know crocodiles can gallop?
    Both alligators and crocodiles are ambush hunters. They can spring to action very suddenly. And carry down underwater where death rolls tear meat.

    Also another thing. There is an American crocodile as well. The southernmost tip of Florida is the northernmost extent of their range and is the only place you'll find them in North America. They are more common in Central and northern South America. They're a saltwater species, normally not found very far inland due to competition with the freshwater-loving alligators and caimans.

    Hello. Just your friendly neighborhood animal encyclopedia here to help. The pieces of the alligators' armor are called osteoderms (pronounced like osteoporosis. Essentially means 'bone skin'). They are essentially pieces of bone embedded in the skin. Beautiful habitat, BTW! Always a treat when a Sequora episode comes out!

    Actually alligator’s and croc’s have been around when the earth was a lot hotter than today. Experts say they as well as a handful of other animals were here before us and will be long after we are gone. As they are true lords of this planet

    • @MadameCorgi
      @MadameCorgi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      True but the earth's temperature has never increased so quickly before so that doesn't mean they can adapt.

      @@MadameCorgi also the temperature outside of the nest doesn’t matter it’s the temperature inside nest. It’s kind of same thing as you in a car with no aircon and the windows all up on the hottest day. You are not going have the same temperature inside the car than outside the car

    Crocodilians have been around for longer than the dinosaurs and dienosuchus was more related to American alligators than crocodiles

    1 in 50000 alligators can be albino and 1 in 1600000 can be ORANGE! 🤔

  • @choppedworms23

    I just created an alligator in closure but the game won’t let me put the gators in the exhibit. Keeps declining me from putting them in there? I must be stupid and missed something?

    • @SimplySavannahYT
      @SimplySavannahYT  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If your game was paused when you put the barrier down and connected a path to the gate, unpause for a few moments to let your game recognize the new habitat. If you weren't paused, check all your pathing connections to make sure your trade center has a complete route to the new habitat. If neither of those work, try logging out to the main menu and reloading your zoo!
