This teaching touches something so intimate yet often overlooked: the recognition that emptiness is not a lack but the source of all fullness. We speak of awareness as "empty," yet this emptiness is not a void; it is the ground of all possibility, where the richness of existence arises. Our suffering stems not from what thoughts contain but from forgetting the luminous substance that underlies them. Awareness, like space, is not shaped by what passes through it; it remains untouched, whole, and free. To truly see this is to remember that the fullness we seek in objects, achievements, or even thoughts has always been the unshakable fullness of our being. In this recognition, emptiness and fullness collapse into one radiant simplicity and reveal a peace that was never lost, only obscured.
Absolutely. Full space is a more helpful term than empty space. All is infinite space/energy, but we are conditioned to see "objects" and ignore the energy in the space that is here right now around us. We are like the two fish in the ocean - one says to the other "I've been swimming around all day looking and looking but I still can't see any of this water-stuff you keep talking about.”
@@phk2000 The proclivity to focus on objects is an innate survival mechanism, evolved from the development of the prefrontal cortex of our brains to protect our bodies and sense of self in society. Nothing is considered of no value in providing that.

Rupert Spira 🙏 In the Teachings - Emptiness is not truly empty or nothing. There is 'somethingness' in the Emptiness or Nothingness. This 'somethingness' is formless, unfindable, undescribable by words/speech or inconceivable by the human mind or thoughts. The Lotus Sutra terms it as - the indestructible Buddha-nature of every or all living sentient beings. It neither comes nor goes, neither appears nor disappears. It's unborn & never dies, self existing timelessly. It is everywhere & yet nowhere, and pervades the entire Universe. 😊🙏🙇♂️🌷
To explain manifestation of emptiness one has to talk about dependent arising. All things and concepts are empty of an inherent nature because they arise in dependence on each other. World is like the witch’s brew:)
If awareness or consciousness is empty of love, then you haven't yet found yourself. It is through love alone that one is able to find oneself, and in doing so, one becomes one with God. Duality dissolves into non-duality.
Thank you! It seems to me emptiness is a precondition of movement, unfolding the life, and at the same time emptiness is a sign of God's presence and His benevolence because without emptiness nothing and nobody can exist.
The universe is infinite energy. The term "empty space" is totally incorrect and unhelpful. Space is completely full of ENERGY. As you sit in your living room the space in the living room is exactly the same space a billion light years away. If it wasn't you're be able to pinpoint where one but of space joined another - but of course that can't be done. This universal space/energy is the Absolute, The Totality, and it patterns and shapes to apparently take different forms but never is anything other than universal space/energy. When this is seen and FELT smiles and chuckles will arise and all will be peace, love, joy and happiness!
@@lizsypher9341 Of course not. There is nowhere and there is no-one. All is infinite space/energy sometimes appearing as "things" but never being anything other than that infinite space/energy.
@ Infinte/space/energy appears as what is called an object, but it is always infinite/space/energy. When you were a kid you went on the beach and built a sand castle. @ You have missed it altogether. The non-local Guru is God. Turn inward to the only source of everything. Some call it meditation, some call it prayer. There is no you so why do you believe others who aren’t there either? That is the meaning of emptiness. No you, no me, just source of all. I present the lotus flower. Nothing else.

"Emptiness" is a Non-physical Entity, that can be experienced.....But can never be conceptulised or verbalised.
.... Advait Vedana.
He just spent almost 12 minutes verbalizing it
Emptiness is the absence of you and all of your ideas about me.
If there is no you and there's only me, then tell me who shall I play with? I don't want to live in a reality where there is only me.

How can a man find and have full space, emptiness, or awareness and stay in happiness without suffering ? Human has no way out. Relax and let go.
I am not sure that this is what Buddhism teaches about emptiness, especially if you are trying to make awareness into some sort of god principle.
It's kind of like you can make out a form of objects around but it's also like you are looking into a bottomless pit.
What is the outer shell of the pit made of?
