    I tow my bay boat down to Marathon from Wilmington every year for 2 weeks to fish that area. Same area where I catch a lot of 9' - 10' sharks!

    Enjoy the weather, and the fishing, so we can come along for the ride. It'll be a White Christmas up here ( whether we like it or not ). Best wishes for a joyous holiday, and a prosperous New Year.

    It was also my guess that it was a jack the way he was changing direction so fast. That fish puts up hell of a fight. Strange you didn't get any bite at those pilings under the bridge. Usually there are snappers and sheepsheads. The epilogue was as bonus of the episode as you said. Nice weather and a lot of bites. Happy holidays season.

    You left town at the perfect time. Miserable here in NC. When you are fishing a ledge like that are you watching the lowrance and actually seeing your lure on the display so you know for sure if you are hitting the top or bottom of the ledge? Thanks and happy holidays to all

  • @Striperbass2

    Love Florida...they are fisherman friendly, especially compared to some of the states further north. Regarding the foul hooked jack by the tail...that was strange. Maybe tried to tail slap the bait? I know stripers do it, but on surface lures. Also, on a trip to Cabo my son and i went out on a charter, inshore ( i hate trolling, not interested in bill fish--I like to eat fish). We gotta into quite a school of sierra macs (west coast spanish macs). On whatever metal we used, single hook, many were hooked outside/ behind the mouth. I imagine they're chasing, then turn on the lure, and the lure's pulled across the mouth and the hook catches outside. I dunno, but it happened a lot. Oh, wire leaders for sure. Anyway, thanks for another great vid👍....saltwater, especially down south, never know whats on the end of the line.🙂.

    I caught a barracuda in Mexico and the hotel restaurant cooked it for us and it was really good. They said if it was bigger it would not have been safe to eat. It was about a 10 pounder. They coated it in some kind of red chili powder. Really delicious.

    • @EliasVFishing
      @EliasVFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks - I prefer the head cam but it seems like a lot of viewers prefer the chest.

    • @johnhamilton9991
      @johnhamilton9991 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EliasVFishing That’s weird because a vicarious experience, such as a fishing video is best viewed as through the eyes of the fisherman. A head cam does this much better than a chest cam. Also, it shows an unobstructed view of what’s going on in the water and the more acute angle diminishes glare and increases depth of view into the water. You must be aware of these factors during the edit. Thanks again for sharing your fishing expertise and the hard work you put into your channel.
