hey district what is your mapping on your 4 paddles out of curiosity i had 2 and i was using 1 for luting now i have 4 and i want to know whats the best way of learning , your explanation was really brief
Left stick on interact so you can easily hold it when going up to vertical zips so you can hit that dope zip movement keyboard players. there’s TH-cam videos about it
I have the layout like a mixture of all. LB: jump RB: tactical R3: crouch L3: swap Crouch on the stick does mess up my aim but i don't like having crouch on RB.
I use a custom layout for my gameplay which I would recommend for legends like Catalyst, Fuse, Ash and every other legend whose abilities require aiming. The jump button in on the left bumper for movement tech with the crouch on R3 because I’m not super dexterous like pro players. I moved the tact ability button to the R1 button for legends like Catalyst so I can more effectively aim her tactical ability. The ping button is the right D-pad button, like it is in Fortnite for ease of access. My grenade equips are for the ❎/B button and melee has the ⭕️/Y button because when I had melee on the stick I would keep going into melee when I held it down. My crouch input is held down because this helps with movement.
I bear claw the right of my controller, and use my index finger for the buttons, and my middle finger on my trigger and button, my left hand remains the same. But I use default.
May aswel play claw if you're considering ninja layout. I've played on custom binds for years now and I use the following: Crouch left stick Jump right stick Interact left bumper Swap weapons right bumper Heal y/triangle Ping x/square Ability a/x Just use claw for those last 3 things, it's much easier this way
get a decent controller with two paddles. keep q on LB put relaod and interact on RB so u can loot and interact with death boxes with out ever having to take your thumbs off the joystick, crouch and slide bound to paddles but keep them as A and B so u can use your paddles to select items in deathbox and backout of deathbox. this combined with your RB interact makes armor swapping extremely fluid and fast becuase ur fingers are always on the joystick to scroll down fast. the rest is kind of personal choice like i do weapon holster and swap on X so that i dont have to reach as far to holster mid fight for movement boost. aslo having interact on RB or even LB honestly, makes zipline movement tech alot easier especially when your crouch and jump are bound to your paddles and it helps with superglides etc. But trust me when i say keep crouch and jump on A and B and just bind them to your paddles your armor swaps will improve significantly
Never seen a competitive guide focused for casual controller players, the ones who play naturally with only 4 fingers. Every other guide assumes everyone play claw :(
I personally use claw grip with no paddles and crouch with LB, jump with RB, use the tac with R3, ping with A and melee with B, i really love my button layout 🤗
If you have back buttons/paddles then here is the best layout to never take your fingers off the controller(if you play claw with your index on bumper, middle on triggers, and ring finger on bumpers) Bumbers are jump and crouch (your choice which side but i prefer the right so your not using the same fingers for shoot and criuch) Your back buttons are weapon swap and reload, again your choice which side but i use reload on my left side. Your tactical can go on square and your ping on X. Yeah you have to lift up for your ult and tac but with majority of the legends your not going to need to be reactive with it. With wraith you got to start it up preemptively or you wont have enough time to get it off, with octane your using it to go into a fight rather than out bc of the health decrease, with caustic, wattson, and rampart your using them to secure an area before the fight, mad maggie your using hers to get people behind cover that their not peaking.
I personally use two padles with button puncher, i use my right paddle for jump and my other paddle for inspect ( just for heirloom) and i play claw along with all that (arthritis prone)
I came from cod originally using bumper jumper tach flipped I still use a modified version of that hold to crouch on rt tactical on B works good for b hopping and wall bouncing+superglides
RB/R1 Jump. LB/L1 Slide/Crouch. B/0 Tac. Look up extesy most recent settings and just tweak them to something you like trust it got me from gold to masters
hey. i love that layout. I use it too. Just one question. especialy for crouch (LB/L1). Do you have your index AND middlefinger all the time (e.g. permanentely) on LB and RT (L1 L2) or do you switch your indexfinger. i only use my indexfinger and i switch.
@@WinterVarg8x it depends bc i play claw sometimes and sometimes i don’t so it’s usually use my index but in moments it’s my middle i usually bhop and hippie up close bc i’m a horizon main
@TheRealDistrict thanks for the answer. I always appreciate your honest tips and the way you're teaching ur viewers. It's like everyone can learn here, and if someone wanna improve a lot faster, he can pay for it
I'm coming from CoD, so I'm learning the ropes. I'm on Default with my triggers and bumpers swapped. I play double Claw, you suggest that default is 1/10, does that apply to a double claw player?
I play apex and i always played on default but now that i watch this my main layouts is evolved, button jumper and puncher and evolved for main but i thinks is worth it to switch jump and crounch on evolved
Me personally I have jump and crouch binded to bumpers, makes crouch spamming, superglides, walljumps, etc really easy and you never have to take ur thumbs off the stick. Holstering is binded to my left stick I also play a half claw so i dont need paddles
I use the PlayStation dual sense controller, and I remapped my controller to have crouch and jump on the back paddles. Then I move my aim and shoot to L1 R1. My switch weapons is L2 and my ability is R2 to reload. I have it on my right stick.. this helps me where I never take off my fingers off the sticks they can functionally do everything.
I can’t wait to get my Aim controller this month. Question, is it possible to map a paddle to the down analog for healing or to swap ordinance? I think some of the controllers I’ve tried before allowed it to be an action on click but hold wouldn’t pull up the menu
alright, hear me out guys. use my custom button layout. its like ninja but better. instead of using trigger left and right for aiming and shooting. use left and right bumber for aim and shoot. your left and right trigger use for crounch and jump. done ! easy the use, feels like having back button now. but the only down side of it, your index finger should be responsible to use all X,Y,B,A button.
I came here as a sinner. My jump is on my left stick, crouch on right stick, sprint left bumper. I have gotten terribly good at this layout it is holding me back. Time to get to work!
So I started using ninja but recently got a custom control ans it's feels much easier to use the bumpers for jump and crouch then using the back buttons for everything else
I'm on console and I changed the L1 to crouch and hold the controller like Extessy where use my index to press the buttons without letting go of the stick
Your best best is to use ninja inverted. So triggers are jump/crouch and bumpers for aim/shoot. Or get a GameSir g7SE for pc/Xbox or extremeRate back paddles for ps5 controller.
yea ive already thrown this out the windows, claw grip double ps4 controller, lt crouch 4t jump, bumpers shoot, y holster weapon, x use, a ping, b tactical. pretty muc normal from there.
Sorry I was at work couldn’t stay for the whole live video (dope btw!) But yea man I use default with paddles I’ve got jump, couch, reload, and swap weapons so sounds like I’m on the right track!
For any next Gen consoles(ps6 and shi) that come out, they should just completely remove any buttons on the top of the controllers and just make controllers come with back paddles instead. It’ll probably save money and it’ll be 10x better for anyone who’s tryna play a game. The controller won’t look as good tho. It might idk
Still lost on this topic I play on bumper jumper tactical flipped, so confused on how im Suppose to use my tactical and ultimate if I switch them to what exactly
I actually use the right thumb stick for slide and I have pretty much capped out my movement on console so how do I make my aim better and more consistent
What about controllers with 2 back buttons I have a power A enhanced controller that has 2 back buttons, I put jump and crouch on bumpers ability is A and is on the back button along with reload X then ultimate is A and right stick
My Crouch is on L2. Is it "ok" to use Ninja-Layout, without having index and middlefinger on L2 L1 (R2 R1) permanentely?! I use it, like the layoutvery much, claw for weaponchange etc. BUT I switch indexfingers between L1 L2 (or R1 R2) all the time, DONT use my midlefingers permanetely. I have experienced, its not very important in this game to Aim and and crouch at the same time. croch spam is important for hipfire only.
I have the legends abilities on my bumpers, so, on what buttons should I bind the abilities if I have a controller with only two back Buttons? Edit: I have reload and swap on the bumpers
Try putting jump and slide in bumpers your A button and right stick for ability and ult then shoot and ads on default buttons put your ability and reload on the back buttons A and X
