Painting Zvezda Maus [15mm]

It’s a Maus. Now that it’s painted with a camo scheme you’ll never see it doing whatever it is that it does on the tabletop!
I had fun painting this, and it’s also a nice kit to put together. AS long as you’re paying attention to the instructions!

I like how you temporarily glue a popsickle stick to the under side of the tank for a grip point rather than touching the painted areas. I'm going to borrow that technique!

Good job doing such a detailed paint scheme on a smaller scale! I recently tried one of the zeveda 1/100 scale matilda kits but found it way too small to do any real detail with my fat fingers lol. Think i will stick to larger scale.

On my Maus build I changed out the turret pin. I took a small section about 1/4" of the Flag pole that comes with the kit. and cut it for a turret pin. I opened up the hole in the turret slightly to accommodate the small section of the pole. then I cut the pin on the hull off and drilled out a hole just big enough so the new pin will fit in it. I do not like the turret pinning of this or their IS-2's and T-34's. So I modify them so they work better.

I like the uneven stripe widths too.
It reminds me of bar codes. I can imagine bar code "camo" on future tanks designed to corrupt enemy AI tank gun-aiming software.
