Amazing details. It's crazy to think about how young the Ruotolos are and then mention that they've been doing this for 16 years. True masters of the sport.
Big breath in also helps the finish. I love the fact that you dont fall off the opponent and pulling your elbow back I describe as rock the cradle and look to the feet. LOVE IT!
I've been going to bjj classes for a few months now and it's surprises me how turning a grip or a hand position just a tiny bit is difference between a submission or not... Its a brutal skill but high level is bjj is an art
I remember when I first started (16 years ago next month), I read some "path to the black belt" blog that somebody wrote (can't remember who), but I remember the talk about the movement: as a white belt, you could measure it in metres, & gradually it progressed to the point that as a black belt, movements would be in millimetres- that's the efficacy of jiu-jitsu when practiced & honed right over a long enough timeframe.
@@merkins87 yup, I see this now. I'm still in the phase where sensi shows u a new move and u feel indestructible, then he shows you the defense against it and I'm like Noooooo... 😁 Super smart sneaky sport.
These dudes are incredible. I can't imagine how terrifying they're going to be in the future. Sheesh, they're just getting warmed up, not even filled-out yet. Watch it Gordon, these guys are coming for your throne!
They are both ridiculously good at what they do but let's be real for a minute, the current version of Gordon Ryan has nothing to worry about with kade & tye unless one of them turns into a 100kg monster.. then I'll agree whichever it is could be a problem
@@Clarkydnb I hear ya. Pre-juiced Gordan was hardly bigger than either of these guys, though. Give 'em a few years to thicken up plus some gear and they'll be unstoppable.
Just watched Kade win his first ONE mma fight last night! I hope he has a great MMA career if that’s what he decides to continue to pursue. Great athlete.
Great video. Great atmosphere with you and the bros. They look like the most coolest, easy going, approachable guys in the business. They're warriors on the mat but seems like they're totally rad dudes who don't mind giving you 5 minutes of their time to answer questions. I love your channel!
I know these guys are basically top 5 in no gi and this is a very sweet transition into a darce and I love that they showed the blade of the wrist because 90% instructors out there never cover that and everyone goes way too deep, it took me 7-8 years to realize you shouldn't go deep like that and suddenly I get them all the time lol. Also this type of entry works for these speedy guys but those beginning frames just scare me for armbar city for the non speedy or bigger guys, How would you prevent that exposure to that much inside position? Serious question for black belts.
The corotid is actually more towards the front side of your neck. Stop what you're doing. Find your pulse on your neck. Now think about where most people in BJJ like to squeeze..... the sides. Adjust your chokes accordingly. This is one way to fix your cross collar chokes by the way.
no joke I just used this shit today it was crazy, I knew of the choke b4 but didnt know the name, my brother n me got into a fight and he ended up slamming me on my shoulder, but I managed to twist him so he face planted as well gave himself a black eye. my arms where already in position but I first tried to get him off me which I couldnt, he even noticed n said "yeah Im strong huh for 33 years old (im 23) I just reply with yeah keep talking you dont even notice im chocking you rn, n he started to feel it i cut off the blood from one side. The man had to balls to go IGHT IGHT IGHT STOP, after he wanted to fight n pushed me first like wow funny. I didnt let go I put him to sleep so he can learn to never ever pick a fight again with me cuz I will chock the shit out of you. everyone needs to practice even if u cant afford it, practice to positioning on urself by going into em to know how the move should feel.
Loved how Bernardo jumped in..”let me know how it feels” black belt always learning..true example of bjj!
Love the way barnardo dives over to see the detail like its his first class😁
Amazing details. It's crazy to think about how young the Ruotolos are and then mention that they've been doing this for 16 years. True masters of the sport.
I was thinking the same thing! They were very non-chalant about saying how they’ve been honing this technique for 16 years.
It’s great to hear one of the elites affirm the importance of using the blade 🤙🏼
These brothers are so nice off the mats. They are ferocious submission specialist in competition. These guys are fun to watch.
Deadly combination, doing that choke for 16years and there about 19 years old! And what careers ahead of them!!!
Big breath in also helps the finish. I love the fact that you dont fall off the opponent and pulling your elbow back I describe as rock the cradle and look to the feet. LOVE IT!

It's all about the little details friend 🤟

@@merkins87 yeah if you start chaining your attacks and defences you'll get better quickly
Would be nice if there was a yearly subscription where you get access to everything
The detail about raising the elbow really helped me. Managed to sub a much bigger opponent as class this week with it!
Since watching this I have hit multiple Darce chokes when before I was clueless. Thank you!
hi from Bosnia for you guys. you are amazing positive force bernardo. wish there were more people like you. all the best
I wouldn't think to hit the d'arce from bottom like this. So slick.
these guy are fun to watch and the future

What a cool guys these two
Great entry! Paired with Jordan Teaches Jiu Jitsu Darce video, this is gold.
Love the darce, my favorite choke by far.
Thank you! Excellent demonstration of this technique

Imagine being 19 with 15 years of mat time...
Needed this. Get to the darce often but not getting the finish as much as I want.
Can't wait to see these guys in mma
In Danaher’s instructional , he actually advises that once you get the D’Arce choke set, you step over into mount with a D’Arce
That was sweet 🔥🔥🔥
Great vibes brother! Rutuolo brothers are top.
very detailed howto, thank you
Love these guys so much thanks for the video!
Saiu um valeu obrigado 👍🏻👊
These guys are coolest guys in jiu jitsu facts 😊
Similar to how Henry explained the RNC, you lock it and pull the arm thru the neck versus squeezing and hugging. It is nice setup for sure.

That set off is ridiculous. I don’t think I have the athleticism to do it but I sure enjoy watching it.
The most frightening grapplers to roll against are the ones that are still young but have been training their whole childhood and early adult life...
These guys are amazing.
Bernardo is a true martial arts master. You can tell he's got his ego in check, which imo, is the final boss.
These boys look like they could not hurt a fly but they are deadly.
Can’t wait Kade fight with Sambo champion

Slick. So if you let go of the frames and they block the darce hand it's scrambling time or reguarding time?
"I feel like its going to break my neck"
"that's the plan hahaha"
Sick
Huatolo Brothers
Hespek to the huotollos
At 3:33 he says back roll. Instead of back roll can I hot dog roll?
