Really nice park. Can’t believe it wasn’t full. Most sites like that in Florida would be full. I like refried beans. Home made look great. Karen calls refried beans dog food. lol. See ya in Tampa. Jeff n Karen
We’ve stayed at that campground a couple of times now. Loved it each time. Did you get to see the wild/not so wild bunnies? Or better yet did the dogs find them? 😂
Did you check out the Jekyll Island campground? We have camped there a couple of times at Christmas. Great biking on the island as well. Driftwood beach used to be awesome for bikes, but one of the more recent hurricanes ate most of the beach.
@ we liked it enough to visit multiple times. Soft sites, no pads, kind of a state park feel. Full hookup. Lots of trees though, so your star link would be out. We had no issue with cellular. Looked a lot like the place you stayed near there.
I grew up there and this area is our home base. Summers are extremely humid and hot. The mosquitoes are a horror during certain times of year. Blythe Island was one our shake down places and we have used it coming home to visit family. We always kept it a secret because we didn’t want it ruined. It’s a beautiful place. Glad you enjoyed it.
2010 Ram 3500 not dually. Late fall, always bought 10 60lb sand tubes for rear traction. Was required when i lived in the heavy snow region in the Wyoming Rockies. Fun video!
Cody, let me start by saying although I have watched your channel for quite a while you always seemed a bit of a know it all. But watching the way you maintain your RV and truck is truly impressive. Keep up the awesome content.
hahahaha. I'm far from a know it all but I really do try to stay on top of things and learn along the way. Anything to stay out of a "stealership". Call it partial curiosity with a side order of being cheap lol
If you go there in the spring or summer, the No See emms will carry you off. ( those are tiny mosquitos that can go to screens. ) But that deserted beach is nice walking. Thanks again guys.
Lol, I always get a kick out of watching your videos.Ang you are definitely the comic relief😂. I love the area that you guys are in. Definitely gonna have to visit that spot. I think everybody looks at full-time RV, travel, searching for the coolest things around. But what you guys prove today was that you can have very light days and still have a fantastic time. So keep doing what you’re doing. And I will definitely keep watching and of course laughing lol.🤩🙏
Hey thanks for the video looks like a great place to visit. Looks like the pups had a great time on the beach. I’m glad you’re feeling better Angela after your oyster attack. Again thank Y’all stay safe and Happy Travels
What a perfect place to stay! Beautiful!! I loved watching your pups. They have so much personality! Thanks for a great video. Will definitely watch again.
Chicka-like-bam-bam for the win.. That is a really nice campground, I'm going to have to put that on our 'to visit' list. Still haven't seen that train horn for Cody yet....that boy needs a new toy. 🤣
Hi Recommend Use a pressure cooker for Pinto beans, 45 minutes. Add, garlic, salt and onion powder. Be sure to add enough water to cover the beans by a couple inches. After pressure release Strain cooked beans leave a small amount of water, for Refried beans just add cheese and smash up on a skillet.
Quite familiar with rip rap, I've been driving a cement truck for 27 years. We usually pump Concrete in between the rocks to lock them together👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yes, it’s the same. Unfortunately it didn’t work and it appears we would have to replace the entire top portion. We’ll light it for now. Haha. The striker battery is something we should’ve mentioned though, because you’re right..most of us wouldn’t know about it without looking it up (what we did). It doesn’t LOOK like it should come off. Lol
That is so funny>> Chicka licka bam bam!!! My son just told me he has been using it. So I bought some and chicka licka’d some chicken. Dang it was hot!!!! But going to try again. Just not so much. Happy New Year! Xoxo
Refried beans are simple , heat up some lard , beef tallow or bacon grease, don’t use too much I use a couple of tablespoons per 32 ounces of beans strain the water out of the beans pour the beans into the hot grease let simmer for approximately 10-15 minutes then smash the beans , simmer another 10 to 30 minutes add water as needed for desired consistency , salt to taste
Hi! This isn’t the video where you mentioned it, but after he saw the video of you cooking and using ChicaLicka Bam Bam seasoning, it was in our cart today while getting groceries! Trying it now! lol!
I see why you love this campground....it's perfect for the off-season, but I would agree that summer would not be the time I'd visit. I went to the website but couldn't find a campground map and I don't see how to reserve a specific site. What did I miss?
There are 2 links. Are they different campgrounds? Which one did y'all stay in? Our 5th wheel is 38'. It looks like they don't accommodate anything that long. We'll be traveling soon and this place looks really amazing.
It is called Blythe Island Regional Park officially. I believe we had to call for our reservation on this one. A large rig would be tricky, but there sure were a bunch of large ones and Class As!
I also have a 3500 RAM 8’ bed 4x4 CDI… being 70+ years old, I can’t just hop up into the truck bed anymore. I noticed you carry small step ladder…. Is that a 3’ or is it a 4’? I am thinking about trying one…

Shhhh…. This was our secret place.
We’ve stayed at that campground a couple of times now. Loved it each time. Did you get to see the wild/not so wild bunnies? Or better yet did the dogs find them? 😂
SO many bunnies! 😆
They stayed on the front side, or Eris would have been a handful to deal with! 🤣
Thanks for the wonderful review of the campground, we the people of Glynn county are very proud of it.
Nice! We enjoyed it! ☺️
I love our humidity in SC, we spent 4 months out west and couldn’t wait to get some moisture in my life.
Well that I understand. I love it out West but I think I’d get tired of the dryness after a long period of time.
We were just there for New Year’s and loved it! We will definitely be going back again. Did you see the bunnies that roam the campground?
Awesome! We saw the v bunnies up front, but thankfully Eris didn’t. 🤣
Did you check out the Jekyll Island campground? We have camped there a couple of times at Christmas. Great biking on the island as well. Driftwood beach used to be awesome for bikes, but one of the more recent hurricanes ate most of the beach.
Is it pretty nice? If I remember, I looked but either couldn’t get in or we decided to stay closer to a gym (that’s likely).
@ we liked it enough to visit multiple times. Soft sites, no pads, kind of a state park feel. Full hookup. Lots of trees though, so your star link would be out. We had no issue with cellular. Looked a lot like the place you stayed near there.

Oh no! We let the secret out! 😄 It was surprising. I guess we often set our expectations low in some of the city/state parks.
Amen hallelujah sister I agree 100% Bay leaves don't do anything I've been trying to tell my wife that for years
BAHAHAHA! It's a SHAM!
The only thing I have ever used bay leaves in is beef stew, and then I use quite a few. They do make a difference then.
There’s something about being on or near the coast in the winter months. That is a beautiful campground. Thanks for sharing! Stay safe!
Thanks guys!! Safe travels to you!
2010 Ram 3500 not dually. Late fall, always bought 10 60lb sand tubes for rear traction. Was required when i lived in the heavy snow region in the Wyoming Rockies. Fun video!
That makes sense! We used to do that in Arkansas with piles of wood. 😁
Cody, let me start by saying although I have watched your channel for quite a while you always seemed a bit of a know it all. But watching the way you maintain your RV and truck is truly impressive. Keep up the awesome content.

That is a great park .My wife don't like the bug duing the summer. God Bless
I bet it does get buggy!!!
If you go there in the spring or summer, the No See emms will carry you off. ( those are tiny mosquitos that can go to screens. ) But that deserted beach is nice walking. Thanks again guys.
Oh man! 😬😬I believe that!
WD40 is what I use too… beautiful RV spot too! Looks like you couldn’t let the stairs down on the concrete patio.. speed bump! 😂
Yeah it took a bit of adjustment to make the patio work but it was so nice! Don’t get me started on speed bumps 😂
Lol, I always get a kick out of watching your videos.Ang you are definitely the comic relief😂. I love the area that you guys are in. Definitely gonna have to visit that spot. Thank you for the kind words! 😊😊 You’re 100% right! It’s ALL part of the journey.
Refried beans-keep it simple! Use some lard-that’s the key. Salt, pepper, garlic salt, onion powder….at the end..that’s it.
🙌Trying it again soon!
Hey guys 👋 😃,
Thank you. I love your dogs & you both are just as cute. Thanks again. ❤
That’s so nice, thank you! 😊
Hey thanks for the video looks like a great place to visit. Looks like the pups had a great time on the beach. I’m glad you’re feeling better Angela after your oyster attack. Again thank Y’all stay safe and Happy Travels
Thanks so much! The sickness didn’t last too long, but I can’t see spending that money on them again. Lol
Girl you are FUNNY. NICE VIDEO
😏Awe thanks!
Great looking place.
Yes! It was really nice! 😊
Jekyll Island is amazing, we were there when the world shut down in March of 2020.
It definitely exceeded our expectations! If I was feeling better, I would’ve loved to have explored some of the ruins on the island.
I was going to explain rip rap when you started reading the description lol. Beautiful park to add to our list. Chicka-licka-bam-bam 🥳
😄😄😄
I would add a little chicken broth to those refried beans it really adds flavor
Oooh that WOULD be good! I’ll try that next!
@@RVUntethered If you make refried beans from scratch using dry beans boil in chicken broth as well,.
What a perfect place to stay! Beautiful!! I loved watching your pups. They have so much personality! Thanks for a great video. Will definitely watch again.
I’m glad that you enjoyed it! 😊 They have personalities for SURE! 😄
Happy Tails, Happy Trails! WD-40 is great, I've used it to remove fresh tar on side also. I usually use soap and water right after, just me.
That’s smart!
Great video! Woke up this morning to a frigid temp of minus 2 degrees. 🥶. Love to see your adventures! Have a great weekend.
Yuck! 🥶🥶🥶
Fun couple. Always enjoy your sense of humor. You too Cody. lol.
Awee hahaha
We will add that campground to our list! We live in South Carolina so that is not that far. Great weather for December!
Awesome! 😎
WD40 all the way Cody!
Hmm it surprises me how many people do it!
Chicka-like-bam-bam for the win.. That is a really nice campground, I'm going to have to put that on our 'to visit' list. Still haven't seen that train horn for Cody yet....that boy needs a new toy. 🤣
Haha I don’t know if he NEEDS anything! 😆

It's so funny all the different terms, cultures and foods that we see across our nation alone. I LOVE it!
Hope you guys are further south by now. Winter storm front coming in. Ice
We are in Florida now, but I’m not sure that we will escape it. 😬 We complain, but after 9-10 years between Illinois and Minnesota, we shouldn’t. 🤣
That campground looks just like the one we are at in Mississippi.
Nice! ☺️
Just missed you guys, we stayed on Jekyll Island Dec 12-15th
We sure did!! I think we got there on the 15th!
On an outdoor grill , you unscrew the striker knob and replace the battery. Don’t know about your stove but who knows
Lol

Look like a cool Spot!
It was nice! 😊
Make sure you actuate that 4WD once a month to keep everything moving freely for when you do actually need it.
Yes! Good idea!
Hi! This isn’t the video where you mentioned it, but after he saw the video of you cooking and using ChicaLicka Bam Bam seasoning, it was in our cart today while getting groceries! Trying it now! lol!
Funny! 😁 It was pretty decent on chicken! Cody hates chicken and he liked it. 🤷♀️
I just liked the name. 🤣
I see why you love this campground....it's perfect for the off-season, but I would agree that summer would not be the time I'd visit. I went to the website but couldn't find a campground map and I don't see how to reserve a specific site. What did I miss?
It has been too long since we booked that, but it was probably a phone call.
Big rocks are rip/raf
