Funny how "easy believism" is pretty hard to believe. So many people say it's too easy to be true and too easy to believe, yet nobody believes it. They mockingly label it as "easy believism" and "cheap" or "free" grace to make it sound ugly and unappealing. Yes, grace is free, but it sure didn't come free. It was paid for with a very high price, higher than we can fathom. Faith alone in Christ alone is the narrow gate. Strive to enter the narrow gate, because there's only one way in and it's very narrow
Amen! Now it makes so much sense to me! Its the narrow gate because so many people just can't belive that its that simple! Oh praise Jesus that i don't have to do anything! He paid it all for me! ❤
He ignores Jesus Paul and John by claiming we can live any way we want. These are not works. John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.” 1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” 2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.” Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 Timothy 1:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. Romans 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Also, Pastor Yankee Arnold started a college seminary. He's KJV only and preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ. Faith alone in Jesus Christ alone! We need more people like you and Yankee to start colleges because we're being overrun with false teachers and their false bibles.
Yankee Arnold teaches a Christian can live like the devil and still go to Heaven You can find that message on TH-cam. The apostle Jude and Paul both warned about these type false teachers that teach a perverted Grace gospel. Jude 1:4 For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. Galatians 1:6-8 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel- 7which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 1 Timothy 4:1-2 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.
Yankee Arnold is a classic wolf in sheep's clothing portraying himself as a old time southern soul winning pastor. He rejects Jesus command to repent of sins and teaches a license to sin.
I hear that same lie every time I preach the Gospel of Christ. Men do not want to think that the gift of salvation should be that simple, to just believe so they have to add things to it to make it harder, so they can feel more worthy of their own effort and feel they have to do their part. I simply read the Gospel and understand what it says, It is simple. Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain he washed it white as snow...Amazing Grace
Amen!!!!!!! I get soooooooo frustrated with those who name the Name of Christ, but...add all these fruit of the Spirit as a requirement for salvation. Putting the cart before the horse. Most of them are very contentious, argumentative, prideful and wanting to debate just to be able to argue.
He mocks making Jesus Lord! Lordship Salvation, means that we recognize Him for who He is and give Him the honor that He is due by surrendering to Him in obedience. He has earned it; He is worthy of it. Ultimately, this is how our walk with Jesus should begin, by recognizing and confessing that He is Lord. This is how salvation is obtained, by this very declaration. Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART that God raised him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED. 10For it is with your HEART that you BELIEVE and are JUSTIFIED, and it is with your MOUTH that you PROFESS YOUR FAITH AND ARE SAVED. The difference from "knowing Jesus is the Lord to making him Lord of your life is when we do, we are putting Jesus in control of our lives rather than doing it ourselves. Luke 9:23-25 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross DAILY and FOLLOW ME. 24For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. 25What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? Still think it's a movement?
@@2Chronicles714_ the only requirement for salvation is to believe (put your trust in)Jesus and His redemptive work on the cross. The stuff you mentioned are requirements to be a disciple. Not all believers are disciples.
@@terierichards1366 To believe is faith produced by repentance. That's why Jesus Peter and Paul said Repent first then Believe. Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, (believe) that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith (believe) toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Not works but proven faith. Faith is proven by repentance. In other words you cant claim faith without repentance which is evidence of true faith. If someone said Repent but don't believe that wouldn't make sense either does claiming to believe without repentance as evidence of faith. The blood of Jesus washes aways sin but to receive it one first must acknowledge they are a sinner and repent of their sinfulled life. True repentance leads a person to acknowledge and change their mind (renounce sin,) to God and prove it with a 180-degree change of their lifes direction. Your life was going in one direction (sin) and you make a decision of the heart and mind to take your life in the opposite direction with His help. Repentance requires true brokenness. Repentance is not asking the Lord for forgiveness with the intent to go back to the sin(s) again. Repentance is an honest, regretful acknowledgement of sin with a heartfelt desire to change. Just as Saul of Tarsus did when he repented and became the Apostle Paul. Next believe that Jesus died on the cross was buried and rose again for the punishment of our sins. Be water baptized to complete the burying of the old sinful man and the rising of the new man in Jesus. Recieve the Gift of the Holy Spirit Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. Luke 9:23-26 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. 25What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? 26Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. Luke 14:27 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. Jesus said go into all nations and make disciples not ask them if they're interested.
@@2Chronicles714_ Repent, regarding salvation, translates from the Greek word Metanoia it means to change your mind or to think differently. When you change your mind to believe on Jesus you have repented. No where in Jesus’ evangelical gospel of John is the word repent. Instead he says to believe on Him. When we believe on Jesus we have repented. The apostles know to make disciples out of believers. Judas was a disciple and he was never saved. He went to hell anyway. The Bible explicitly says not by works. If we try to add works to our salvation we are saying what Jesus did wasn’t good enough and that He needed help. Salvation first, then service and disciple ship
@@terierichards1366 The Apostle John didn't preach a different gospel than Jesus. Some think John's gospel was written for evangelism because it says in John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. The misunderstanding is because in John's gospel the word believe is always in the (present continuous tense) ,which doesn't mean just believe once, it means go on believing. Everywhere in John's gospel the emphasis is going on believing. For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever goes on believing present continuous tense Whoever is believing. It means to go on doing something, all the way through John's gospel it means go on believing that Jesus is the son of God, going on believing, you may go on having life. That whosoever goes on believing will never perish but go in having eternal life. Ask any expert in Greek and they will say that's what the original text says In other words John's gospel was not written to convert people but to tell believers to continue believing. That's why John doesn't deal with repentance or water baptism because he assumes the readers are already repented and been baptized. The fact that John doesn't mention repentance doesn't mean its not necessary. He's saying go on believing because in Ephesus, where John lived when he wrote it there was a heretic called Cerinthus that was teaching bad things about Jesus and that bad teaching was getting into the church. So John wrote his gospel for believers to make them go on believing in Jesus as son of God. It's the going on believing that is so important. Believing that Jesus is the son of God, going on believing that you may go on having life. John's gospel was written for repented believers. How could an unbeliever understand these verses? John 14:5-6 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. John 14:12,16,17 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father 16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John's doesn't say to Repent of sin. John also doesn't say anything about Jesus's birth or his water baptism,His temptation and other things are left out as well. Does that mean they didn't happen? John says the word believe over 90 times. John's message is to encourage us to keep believing. Whosoever Believes, (present continuous tense) What If scripture said Repent of sin, and you don't have to believe? Everyone would agree that makes absolutely no sense. Why would anyone Repent if they didn't believe? To believe is faith produced by repentance.
@@georgepenton60235 yrs since you posted this. Are you pure ? A true Christian's purify comes not from what they do or don't do but by what Christ did on their behalf and credits to them free of charge by faith . I am sure there are many saved yet immature saints who need to grow but that's a matter of growth and more sanctification and has nothing to do with justification or being declared righteous by God.
Thank you SO much for addressing the "head knowledge" vs "heart knowledge" thing. For a long time I was scared to death that I only had "head knowledge". I kept thinking, "what if I don't REALLY believe?? What if I THINK I believe but my heart really doesn't??" It was tormenting. Also, I was thinking that when Paul was telling the Corinthians to examine themselves, whether they be in the faith, I thought he was just telling them to make sure they were believing the gospel of Jesus Christ since there were false teachers influencing them. I know they were saved people. I just thought the Corinthians had been led astray by false teachings. Because a believer's faith can be shipwrecked, right? I definitely have no doubts the Corinthians were saved. I just thought Paul was rebuking them in a way and instructing them to make sure they were in the faith and not believing false gospels. Thanks so much for this message. I was pulled from the lordship salvation heresy in 2015 and I'm so grateful for God's amazing love, grace, and mercy. I'm still having to unlearn the things that were drilled into my head as I grew up. I'm still learning what certain passages mean in context, the ones that were plucked and twisted to fit false doctrines. I believe I was saved at the age of 6. As a child I couldn't understand works, repentance, etc. I just heard that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again three days later and I believed it. Then, as I grew up, I started hearing about how you had to submit your life to Christ, turn from your sins, do this, do that in order to _"really"_ be saved, and I never had assurance of where I was going when I die. I was tormented, developed OCD, OCPD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Major Depressive Disorder. I've had much deliverance after understanding God's grace and accepting it with joy. Lordship salvation still chases me. Every once in a while, I'll come across a passage that seems to say we aren't saved if we do this or that, or if we don't keep the faith. I'm still having to unlearn lies. Thanks for preaching the truth!
Great testimony. I too was caught up in Lordship salvation. Soooooooo many people are caught up in L.S. Soooooooo many who name the Name of Christ, are caught up in this heresy. Oh...and the persecution from them when I try to expose Lordship salvation. They accuse me of not even being saved. They are so argumentative, prideful and love to debate just to boast in themselves of how much scripture they know. Only problem is, most of what they quote is out of context. But they accuse me of the very thing that they are doing. They can't see and or refuse to see the simplicity of the true gospel. Why?...because the true gospel doesn't allow them to boast in themselves.
I absolutely love this brother Pator John, just clear, spirit filled and passionately explained, i can see the love you have for the teue gospel and for those who are lost and also are caught up in theses calvinistic and work salvation heresy, God bless you Pastor, Would love to come to your CHURCH one day, may the Lord bless your ministry 100 fold and may the gospel that is preached from your mouth lead many home to the lord, in Jesus precious name AMEN AMEN .
23:00 I know of a pastor who did the same thing to this very verse >> *(Romans 10:9-13).* It blows my mind that they can take a simple, easy to understand verse and make it complicated by telling people something it doesn't mean. Thank you for posting this video. I was enslaved in Lordship salvation for years, so listening to sermons, calling out this heresy, never gets old. I feel that Lordship salvation is getting worse in the world. I pray more people's eyes are opened to the truth in Jesus' Precious Name.
Indeed, it blows my mind that people can read the simple truth of Romans 10:9 and twist it to mean the exact opposite of what it says. The verse EXPLICITLY says that we're saved by works (confessing with our mouth), and yet people use that exact verse to deny salvation by works! Please see my comment for a refutation of this video.
If you are a young Christian and have not studied the word in depth than you will be trapped by the Lordship salvation Crowd that it means you must show works but you must ask them, what are those works and how many works do I need to do and what is turning from sin? does that mean I can never sin again? if I can, how many sins are ok? what kind of sins are ok? if none are ok than do I lose my salvation if I sin 1 time? or when do I lose my salvation?
Of course we are not saved 'by' our works but if one thinks they can claim the name of Jesus and live anyway they want they are sorely mistaken. Everyone who names the name of the Lord MUST turn away from wickedness.
The prodigal son doesn't represent a Christian, he represents a sinner coming into salvation. But once a man has come into salvation, he gets born again and becomes a completely new man, crucifying his flesh, living in a way that is perfectly righteous, pure and good, as we are exhorted to by the Apostles. For my refutation of this video, please see my comment. Thank you.
@@Scripture-Man The prodigal is the Northern Kingdom of Israel who left YHVH. The Southern Kingdom of Judah is the brother who stayed in the Father's house who could not fathom how the Father could receive back the prodigal son who had lived sinfully while he (the Kingdom of Judah) had stayed and done everything the Father had ever asked. It's the bigger picture of the individual picture of salvation we see (as you rightly stated). The Southern Kingdom of Israel were in the house (sons) before they departed. We (like the southern nation of Israel that was dispersed into the nations) come back after sinful living, having nothing, just hoping for mercy from the Father, knowing it would be better to even be a slave in His house. We know we are *not worthy* to be called *'son'.* We fall at His feet, repentant and begging for mercy. He is merciful and not only that, but gracious as well, actually making us sons. Incredible! We obey Him out of great love and respect, knowing we do not deserve His mercy. Such a beautiful picture of grace. HalleluYAH! This is a picture of salvation beginning to end. For the the house of Israel dispersed into the nations (who do not even know who they are now), to Judah in the future when Messiah returns and to the individual who wanders far from home. It certainly can be a backslider, as the prodigal was a son, who departed, and returned and was mercifully forgiven and graciously restored.
This is so important; thank you for publishing it! I came out of a group like this, at the point of serious sickness - I was told I was being "Chastened of God" simply for being too conservative politically. I believe that pride is at the root of Lordship Salvation - rather than Grace. Bless You Brother!
@@Scripture-Man Nonsense, I'm sorry, but I don't think you are aware of what "real Truth is" at all. I was told you don't even believe in the Deity of Christ! Please let me alone, I don't wish to speak about what is sound and unsound doctrines with you. The truth is only found in the person of Jesus Christ, and I am not willing to debate it any further.
Lordship Salvation isn't Calvinism. Christians have always believed 'Lordship Salvation' from the beginning. Just because a bunch of Calvinists also believe it doesn't make it a Calvinist doctrine. Please see my comment under this video where I refute all the false teachings given by this man.
@@Scripture-Man I didn't say Lordship Salvation is Calvinism. (?) Yes, Jesus' followers have always believed Yeshua is Lord and God and that we should live as Yeshua lived doing what He said to do. He is our Lord. Amen to that.

John 6:28-29 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
The Reformation did not go far enough and make a complete split with the RCC. It is those who believe in salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone who are making that split from the works based salvation of the RCC.
Luk 8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. If we acknowledge the truth then we have the hope of forgiveness and we can move forward with our relationship with God.
I listened to a pod cast by pastor Joe Schimmel who rebuked grace salvation. And said how it was a false doctrine and yet the stuff he talked about made no sense to me. If anything he disprove his own beliefs. Unlike this pastor in this video who is making alot of sense and can support his beliefs.
It's a great message of Salvation for sinners & those desiring to be Christians. Its true we do not earn our Salvation it's a free gift by faith in Jesus. That's grace undeserved. We can never do any amount of work to deserve God's amazing gift,. However, believing is the first step. Jesus said we must count the cost take up our cross and follow Him, you must acknowledge your need for a Savior, be convicted by the Holy Spirit, no man come to Jesus unless God draws him. When you receive Jesus into your HEART the Holy Spirit now comes to live inside you to help you live the Christian life. You will not be living the new life by yourself. The Holy Spirit is our teacher, comforter & He testifies of Jesus, leads us into all truth etc. St John 15 &16. Faith without works is dead James 2. Believing is not enough, why did Jesus said in Luke13:24 "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able." would you say the devil is going to Heaven? He believes & trembles. There's a distinct difference in Christian's comparing to non- Christians by their fruits Galatians 5. We MUST do works of righteousness by faith in Jesus Christ through the help of the Holy Spirit. When we accept Christ Holy Spirit comes to live in us to help us live for Christ. We all have sin in our flesh but when the Holy Spirit comes to live in us sin has no more power over us. We don't have to commit sin when we yield to Holy Spirit though we can choose to sin which then grieves the Holy Spirit. He is the one who convicts us of sin. We MUST make JESUS CHRIST LORD of our lives.
Donna Shirley Donna, please do not put conditions on salvation by saying me must do good works to stay saved...nope, James is talking about active faith before men not God. God says eternal life is a free gift, so we don't add conditions to it. There is no requirement either to make Jesus Lord of your life. Should is not the same as must....we have to separate salvation with service. Service is a choice not a requirement for salvation. God bless you
Luke15; 7 In the same way, I tell you that there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous ones who do not need to repent.
How can anyone claim that Jesus is their Savior and not just reject but ridicule Jesus's Lordship? We all must decide who we will surrender to either Jesus's Lordship or satan.
Romans 5:15-19 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
@just another dude If we are a true believer then there must be a change of lifestyle If Jesus was to grant forgiveness of sins without a change of conduct it would make the Grace of God an accomplice to evil
@@2Chronicles714_ Say that to the Corinthians and Galatians. They were considered "the brethren" even though they had slipped into apostasy and legalism. The grace of God is not an accomplce to evil, but the grace of God is always greater than our sins. The bible warn a believer that they can reap what they sow in the flesh and be chastised by God and lose eternal rewards in heaven, but a believer can't lose their salvation, because that would make God a liar. Galatians 2:16-21 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Romans 5:20-21 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 2:1-2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 5:4-5 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
@just another dude I know it goes against this false teaching that says don't repent of sin and striving for Holiness is works and your performance has nothing to do with salvation and discipleship is optional Sorry but dozens of scriptures say that salvation can be forfeited.
To all you hardcore Calvinist I ask to consider 2 Peter 2:1. "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.". They were also bought "not with corruptible things, as silver and gold, but with the precious blood of Christ" (1 Peter 1:18) Jesus' blood was shed for ALL that "WHOSOEVER believes in Him, shall not perish". Calvinism is a lie. Wake up and repent people
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. //Jesus' blood was shed for ALL that "WHOSOEVER believes in Him, shall not perish".// I think you may be stretching Jn 3:16 to mean that God loves every single person who ever lived. The bible is very clear that is simply not the case. Rom 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. God does not love the people burning in hell. If He did He would have simply saved them. Whether you believe in limited atonement or not both positions limit it in one way or another. If you say Jesus died for all but many perish anyway then it is limited in power. If the Calvinist says the atonement is effectual only for the elect then it is limited to the elect only but saves completely and perfectly.
Calvinism is not "a lie", it's a collection of several different lies. However, "Limited Atonement" is not one of those lies, Limited Atonement is certainly true. You seem to be arguing against it, though I don't understand your arguments. Yes, 2 Peter 2:1 does indeed say that Jesus "bought" unsaved false teachers. He bought the whole world and everything in it (Matt 13:38, 44). But nowhere does the Bible say that Jesus REDEEMED unsaved false believers. Redemption by Jesus' blood is only for the few. And yes indeed, "Whosoever believes in Him shall not perish". Nothing in that verse says that Jesus took the penalty for the sins of everyone who ever lived. Why would Jesus take the punishment for the sins of people who aren't going to believe in Him? What purpose would that achieve? And do you really think that God punishes every sin TWICE? Once on the Cross, and a second time at the Judgement? That makes no sense. Unlimited atonement makes no sense to me! For a refutation of this video, please see my comment under it. For sound Biblical teaching, please see my channel!
@@Scripture-Man Jesus died as a substitute, as a ransom, for *all men everywhere.* He even purchased the false prophets. His atonement is not limited, rather it is rejected by most. In Adam *all* die and in Christ *all* will be made alive. All. BUT there is a *second death.* Those raised in the resurrection of the wicked at the Great White Throne Judgement, whose names are not in the Lambs book of life, will suffer the second death. They are not even worthy to be raised in the same resurrection as the Just...but they will be raised because of Jesus' ransom for ALL mankind. Jesus' atoning sacrifice was not limited, it even purchased the false prophets. They will be raised, just like the righteous are raised. The difference is they are ungodly or they are false believers, unrepentant tares, lawless, stumbling blocks, cowardly apostates. They do not know God, love God or obey Him. They will be told to depart from Him. They will be raised back to life but then suffer the second death. The atonement is not limited but it is rejected. That is an unpardonable sin because there is no other way to be saved than to obey the gospel. Jesus atonement is not limited in the least. This is why there is a *second death.*
The new testmnt. Is clear. Tho those who trust in ther behavior 4salvation dont get. We are saved by faith. If we believe. Every place we read that faith in Jesus in the heart is salvation. We will not find faith plus. Ryt behavior. Behavior based salvation. Will result in damnation.

And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Rev19:7-8 She made HERSELF ready! The Righteous acts of the Saints are KEY in understanding who will and who will NOT be present at this wedding feast in Paradise. The repeat after me, faith alone crowd in the Churches THINK they are going to show up at this event in their 'filthy rags 'Clothed in the Righteousness of Christ! However Scripture contradicts them, for many are called but FEW are Chosen. Matt 22:1-14 explains why, the King (God) has the Wedding feast prepared, but those invited (the professing Church) had 'other things to do, (dead works, false promises) so He sent out His Servants (messengers of the Gospel) to gather among the highways and byways (the world at large) both good and bad. Thus MANY came but FEW had 'made themselves ready' in Righteousness and true holiness. (Eph4:20-24) This is why the Professing Church will be 'cast into outer darkness still wearing their filthy rags, speechless, wondering what went wrong with the Magic Cloak their preachers promised would suffice. They failed to understand that at the end: 'He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still. Rev22:11 His Bride is NOT made Righteous and Pure at the wedding supper, She is ALREADY without Spot and Blameless, fully prepared for His coming! Sadly this concept it entirely lost to the present day professing Church. They've been taught that all their 'Righteousness is only 'filthy rags in the sight of God and if they 'try to actually be Righteous (by being pure, holy and blameless) then they are guaranteed to be cast into outer darkness as legalist heretics! But Christ is not returning for a people 'Wretched to the core wallowing in piles of stinking rags, pretending that His Righteousness Covers them. Rather He is Coming for those 'looking forward to these things, diligent and striving to be found without spot and blameless! 2Pet3:14. Christ gave this illustration time and again throughout Scripture. That as a husband expects his bride to be pure and chaste in their marriage so Christ expects to find His Saints the same. His Bride is not those committing adultery with the world, fornicating with the idols of vain amusements, still double-minded in their motives. That describes a people with 'Soiled garments, cold, dead and lukewarm already spewed out of His mouth for their refusal to Repent! BLESSED are those who are called to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb! Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. Rev22:14-15 Filthy rags professing Christians will never understand the imperative of Purity and Righteousness, even in the constant illustrations of marriage given in Scripture. Their earthy relationships are in shambles and marriage vows are seldom taken seriously beyond the flowery church service. The concept of Purity and devotion between a man and woman is difficult for them to apply in their personal lives. It would stand to reason that a husband and a wife desire to be loved by their spouse with single-minded affection. They do not want to 'share their devotion to one another with 'others outside the marriage. (at least that's the ideal of a real marriage in a reasonable sense) And a wife certainly would not want her efforts to please her husband in all that she says and does considered; 'Filthy Rags! Imagine also standing at the altar of marriage reciting your Vows and the groom saying to his Bride: 'You know I'm not perfect, I'm just a sinner saved by Grace. So I cannot be trusted to be faithful to you for life, I am likely to lust after other women, commit adultery on occasion and run around with my worldly friends from time to time drinking excessively and doing vile things. So I'm not going to stand here and make some 'Self-Righteous vow we both know is hypocrisy because all my attempts to please you and remain faithful to our marriage are nothing but filthy rags'. Utter foolishness, you say? Most certainly, WHO in their right minds would say such a thing to their perspective mate for life? But isn't that what the 'Churched folks are saying.... 'We all sin, we're going to sin, no one's perfect and if we claim to have no sin we're liars' That's the common excuses of Professed Christians today 'supposedly betrothed to the Lord adorned in their 'filthy rags claiming to be 'Clothed in His righteousness and having NONE of their own doing? (as the 'Righteous Acts of the Saints!) Imagine also in the actual marriage a husband returning home from a hard day's work and his wife having prepared for him a sumptuous meal of his favorite dishes, presenting herself to him in her finest array with open arms of love and he waving his arm in her face and calling all her efforts 'filthy rags, and then rebuking her for even making the attempt to please him in the first place! Ridiculous you say? CORRECT. But all your excuses add up to saying JUST THAT! That 'any effort you put forth to be Holy and Righteous without blame toward God and man is filthy rags and it's 'safer for you to remain in your sinful condition (you think is humble) 'Covered (by magic!) in His Righteousness while you continue to commit adultery with the world. (a very dangerous assumption!) This is the VERY reason James says in his Epistle to people of this warped opinion: Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"? Js4:4-5 Do you REALLY think you can live in Sin and shame and that it 'humbles you to constantly fall into vile and unclean habits of the flesh, and that Pleases the Lord? True humility is expressed in turning away from these things and coming CLEAN with God! Sin will only harden your heart against Him. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. Js4:7-70 In the Lord's sight you have 'adulterated yourself with the world, He calls you a double-minded Sinner in need of a bitter Repentance. But you're saying you could in a marriage relationship committed adultery against your spouse and then merely 'confess it as an 'apology and go on without PURIFYING you heart and proving your intentions by cutting off any contact with the other person and coming CLEAN before you make any attempt toward Reconciliation of the marriage. WHY is it any different with God? In Truth it is Not! You PROVE your Repentance by your Deeds, God is not going to receive you as His Bride while your still committing adultery with the world! In a 'real marriage the relationship can only exist in Purity and absolute devotion free from double-minded intentions. That's why the Bible equates 'friendship with the world as Adultery against the Lord! You can't have the 'Best of both worlds (what you think is best) and maintain a relationship with your earthy spouse and you can't be filled with wicked ways and un-righteous thoughts and be in Right standing with the Lord. You DO what is RIGHT to keep your marriage in tact, you DO it to keep your job, you DO it to stay OUT of jail! So WHY when it comes to God you DON'T have to DO IT??? Because the preacher told you He did it for you, is that the reason? Then WHY does He constantly tell you to DO IT? 'Blessed is the man who hears the Word of God and Does it!' Lk11:28, Matt12:48. Go and tell your wife or husband it's not necessary for them to DO anything to please you or attempt to win your favor or even 'try to remain faithful and see how LONG your marriage lasts! I fear the distorted mentality of the common professing Christian today handles their earthly relationships in the same manner they supposedly 'believe in Jesus....like its 'trash! At least that's what is witnessed among them in their ruined marriages, abused children, drunkenness, filthy addictions and general disregard for common decency. Its filthy rags and the wretched man 24/7 ringing from their pulpits. No matter what they may say about living right and being holy it's always under-minded with the SAME excuses that man is born inbred with Sin and can't help himself, but he's covered anyway by the supposed 'Finished work' of Christ. BUT what is His Finished Work? It's Certainly NOT a Substitution for your Obedience! Otherwise WHY does His Bride have to MAKE HERSELF READY for His Coming? His people will be found by Him holy and pure not cloaked and covered, filthy underneath. They have already PURIFIED their hearts by Obedience to the Truth and are Walking in Righteousness deeds. The phony Church calls them 'Self-Righteous (trying to save self) and glories in their rags. But when the King finds them 'un-clothed hanging around His feast, they will Suffer the consequences of believing a lie. The Bible equates the marriage relationship between a husband and wife for a reason; as we are 'accountable to one another to keep the relationship in tact on 'condition of our faithful devotion, so we also stand fully responsible to the Lord for our actions. But I fear in the Church mentality this comparison is incomprehensible because, in their twisted System of belief, Christ has made a 'Provision in their marriage (to Him) to 'Cover their sinful inability to remain faithful and offered to 'Cloth them in His Garments of Righteousness and Purity. So the 'earthly illustration of marriage doesn't apply, because the husband cannot enter into a marriage with an unclean wife 'providing her with disguise to 'hide her immorality form the world and then 'pretend she's being faithful by proxy. BUT in the 'Church mind-set Christ CAN offer this type of arrangement and that's why they will ALWAYS have another excuse in the face of His Truth. (Dismantle this Lie in their minds and perhaps you can show them why they must stop sinning and obey Christ to enter His Kingdom
Steve Reid The jews rejected Christ, that's what this is talking about, the jews did not receive the Christ, the Messiah. We have no works, period. You don't do anything, it's all been done, if you do something or think you can do something to keep yourself right with God you're a liar. God said nothing can snatch the elect out of His hand. God is faithful to us even if we are not faithful to Him, that is His words. So you're confused about that parable. The master of the house is God, and the great banquet is the kingdom, a metaphor that was suggested by the speaker at the table. The invited guests picture the Jewish nation. The kingdom was prepared for them, but when Jesus came preaching that “the kingdom of heaven is near” (Matthew 4:17), He was rejected. “He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him” (John 1:11). We will attempt to obey our King and his laws. There is no one who can do this without many failures. My point is that you can Whitewash the tomb but do not fool yourself that you have many things in your life that are so far from perfection that there is no work you can do by your efforts that are holy. If you think behaving in a manner is the product of your holiness in God you have disordered your works and faith. It is God's holiness through you, where good works are produced. Lordship
"This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross." (Acts 2:23) "for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place." (Acts 4:27-28) God foreordained the crucifixion.
How do you answer this? For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. Romans 4:13 Here we see that in order to become an heir, it had to happen THROUGH the righteousness of faith. Faith had to be exercised and righteousness given to the believer before he could be called an heir.
John Calvin Said: "We call predestination God's eternal decree, by which he compacted with himself what he willed to become of each man. For all are not created in equal condition; rather, eternal life is fore-ordained for some, eternal damnation for others." Bk 3, ch 21, s. 5 "Therefore, those whom God passes over, he condemns; and this he does for no other reason than that he wills to exclude them from the inheritance which he predestines for his own children." Bk 3, Ch 23, s. 1
I'm fine because I trust Jesus fully and only for my salvation. No works I do are from guilt are duty or to make sure I am saved. I am fully assured outside of any works I do or don't do that Jesus paid the price for me. No saving Faith garbage, no works, no need to prove to you or anyone, just my belief in God through Jesus's finished work on the cross. Nothing can separate me from God's love. That is why it is a free gift, not of works lest any man would boast
Amen Pastor, To those who teach that you can lose your salvation. You who close the door to the Kingdom of Heaven in people's face. Shame on you. Keep preaching the real gospel
You are proof that an unsaved person can still further the message of Christ. Paul said: Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill: The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice (Philippians 1:15-18)
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are CALLED according to his purpose. For those whom he FOREKNEW he also PREDESTINED to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And THOSE whom he PREDESTINED he also CALLED, and THOSE whom he CALLED he also JUSTIFIED, and those whom he JUSTIFIED he also glorified." EVERYONE who is glorified are those who were justified, called, & predestined by God.
Please please do not follow this Calvinist doctrine, you are claiming. Salvation is open to anyone who believes. The predestination is true for some people God picked for certain purposes in the bible, but heaven is a free gift to anyone that will believe. The word elect can also be seen like in a school or college, when you elect to take a course, now you are one of the elect in that room with that teacher because you elected to take that course.
Change your mind about what? "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." Precisely. And also the opposite applies: if we do NOT confess our sins, He will not forgive.
"His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, etc ..."
God is never unjust in punishing a sinner for his sins. God owes no one salvation; God owes no one a "chance" at salvation. God would've been perfectly just AND loving, to have done absolutely nothing after Adam and Eve sinned, and permitted the entire human race to be born, live, and die and go directly to Hell for eternity for their sins. Salvation is the display of God's UNDESERVED MERCY. I've always agreed that whosoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. Next?
"Lordship proponents say that if you do not have works you are not saved. Do you hold that position?" Of course I do. And so does Jesus. He said through James "Faith without works is dead." Dead faith cannot save. Look as well at the verses where our works are the determining factor as to where we end up in eternity. True, saving faith ALWAYS results in good works, NOT perfection.
stegokitty If you need to show works in order to prove that your saved then you’re probably not saved because the only proof that you need is gods word

@@whatshisname7310 the new creature can't sin because it's born of God, but our flesh can indeed sin because it wasn't born of God. You need to stop trusting in your law-keeping and trust in Christ finished work on the cross. Romans 7:15-25 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Calvin says God calls sin Righteousness "for God's will is, and rightly ought to be, the cause of all things that are.".."For God's will is so much the highest rule of righteousness that whatever he wills, by the very fact that he wills it, must be considered righteous. When one asks why God has so done, we must reply: because he has willed it. But if you proceed further to ask why he so willed, you are seeking something greater and higher than God's will, which cannot be found" Bk 3 Ch 23, s.
Page 2: How do I make Jesus, Lord of my life when he is already Lord of everything? If works are automatic with faith why was James addressing the "brethren" which is used only for Christians in the new testament about works? they will say when you are saved you will have works but James in the first 2 chapters is about Christians who he felt were not doing works but still confirms there salvation by the law of liberty, James 1:25 and 2:12 Your walk with Christ will teach you don't fall for lies
A lot of these preachers like to quote Ephesians 2:8-9. But never verse 10. "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." We are called to do good works after we are saved. Those works do not add to our salvation or keep us saved but we are called to do them. Paul talks about this in a lot of his letters. It's called sanctification sanctification. We are to grow in holiness. This kind of preaching to me is shallow.
So what? I said nothing about "linear". There's nothing linear about God's plan. It extends into the hearts and minds and wills of every human being, and into every molecule, to the farthest reaches of the universe. God rules His own creation perfectly. There is only one end, sir, and it is the glory of God and the salvation of sinners. God isn't just guessing at possibilities. God KNOWS. One cannot KNOW that which is not CERTAIN. That which is certain is foreordained & cannot be otherwise.
Page 3: that is the "work" of salvation which is not a work but believing on him just as Christ exhorts us in John 3:16 to believe. He did not lay out the false doctrine that it is belief plus anything else. That is the part that he worked out for us. Once your saved, what happens after that can look different for different people. Just like he saved the adulteress from death by stoning, if she sinned again would she still not be saved from death, What works could the thief on the Cross do?
This debate will go on till the end of time. Romans has plenty to support faith alone being counted as righteousness and others such as Revelations 21:8 support the other side. It specifies: unbelieving, all liars etc...as not being saved. Since the unbelieving don't go to heaven, there would be no need to have all the other sins included in the verse. Unbelieving would cover it all. No one knows for sure.
Im confused because james say faith w/o works is dead. Now i know that I am not saved by my works, so doesnt that mean the works are produced by faith?
Page 2: Are you a better Christian because you sin less? or is it that you think you sin less because you are blinded by the pride of your efforts and full of your own self righteousness? oh and your final works saving faith believers "The Catholics conclude we’re Saved by grace, and that grace produces faith infused with Good Works in the life of the believer, and that these works, done under the unction of the Holy Spirit, are counted by God as righteous acts of atonement
Not at all, he's saying that God's USE of sin is righteous. Like I said before, God foreordained the crucifixion of Christ. Acts 2:23 is clear, that God determined that ungodly men would crucify Him. Then there's such things as God sending a lying spirit to the prophets in 1 Kings 22:22, YET we know that God cannot lie and does not tempt men, but that we are tempted by our own vile hearts. And as I've said before concerning the Assyrian king in Isaiah 10 whom God sends as the "rod of my anger".
Here's another question for you: What does this verse mean? "So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11)
@@jad77777 So sinners don't need to repent of murder, rape, theft, lying in court, dishonoring their parents, abusing God's name, desecrating the Sabbath, worshipping other gods, etc., even though this is repeated in Scripture again and again?
@@stegokittyWhat you just mentioned is "the law" and the bible says in Romans 3:20 and Galatians 2:16 that no flesh is justified by the law. Repent = a change of mind (Metanoia in greek) E.g. Stop trusting in your dead works and false gods to save you, but instead trust in Christ alone and his finished work on the cross. Romans 3:24-25 "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;" Turning from sins is works: Jonah 3:10 "And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not." Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Titus 3:4-7 "But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." Romans 5:8-11 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement."
Page 4: “You have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land, 3 the great trials that your eyes saw, the signs, and those great wonders. 4 But to this day the Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear." (Deut 29:2-4) This is speaking to the covenant people of God. How much MORESO for those who are outside the covenant. You've no appreciation for how the Fall affected all mankind.
Notice that all whom Christ raises on the Last Day are these particular people: 1) Those whom the Father HAS GIVEN (check the Greek for yourself) 2) Those who learn from the Father. 3) Those who've been enabled by the Father 4) Those who've been drawn by the Father. And He raises them up on the Last Day. Jesus repeats this phrase three times, to the emphatic. In other words ALL of these shall be raised up to everlasting life on the Last Day. Everyone else falls outside of these categories.
Page 2: ; hence it has been considered here as implying the disposition or readiness of mind of several persons in the congregation, such as the religious proselytes mentioned Acts 13:43, who possessed the reverse of the disposition of those Jews who spake against those things, contradicting and blaspheming, Acts 13:45. Though the word in this place has been variously translated, yet, of all the meanings ever put on it, none agrees worse with its nature and known signification than that
They say that they have always been “HIS” from all eternity. Scripture defies that teaching in three simple words: Before one gets saved a person is “NONE OF HIS.” No “elect” chosen person will say he had the Spirit of Christ in him before he was saved or even before he was born, so how can “his elect” be “none of his”?
Just to let the reader know, as you've noticed, time and again my opponent has posted and then deleted his comments. Each time it's because he's said something that basically hurts his position. This last time he said to me "You are not sure of your election. No one can be. It is just you thinking you think you know but know one can really now because it is God's good pleasure and not your will that is done." I'm sure because Christ died for my sins, & His Spirit moved me to repent & believe.
I reposted it verbatim with a correction of the word no replacing Know and stand by the statement. I was stating how a Calvinist really thinks, it is not my position. It is the mind of most Calvinists. I reposted it like I said. He has problems with a second person approach
But we are supposed to judge, that verse is talking about hypocritical judgement. Jesus also said judge not according to appearance but judge righteous judgement. An example of that would be what Paul said in 1 corinthians 5:1-8. Also in the same chapter verse 9-, paul is handing down some heavy judgements we must make in our christian walk.
1. All that are Given to him are those who choose to believe 2. those who learn from the father are those who believe 3. those who believe are enabled by the Father 4. Through Christ's death and resurrection the invitation to be drawn to him is extended to all mankind and those who choose to believe will be saved. This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ and you follow the Gospel of John Calvin FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT PERISH
Page 4: For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, Who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe" (I Timothy 4:10). "And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." (I John 2:2). "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me" (John 12:32).
Jesus indeed was/is the Reconciliation unto God FOR THEM THAT BELIEVE, not for those who do not believe. Stepped in it again. God's revealed will tells us to seek Him. Yet not all men seek Him. Why did you seek Him? Were you smarter, less proud, less sinful than the other fellow who didn't? Is the difference IN your or from OUTSIDE you? Tell me.
Page 2: 5) However, your cells are still locked and I am the only one who has the key. 6) So regardless of what you say, do, or want, I will unconditionally open a few doors and let some of you go. The rest of you, regardless of what you say, do or want, I will unconditionally leave your cells locked and you will stay imprisoned Did the king really want all the prisoners set free? Did he really have love and mercy for all, extend pardon to all, and have his son pay the penalty for all?
God's justice is most certainly obligatory, and He displays it either upon Christ or upon the sinner. Romans 9 is clear, that God displays His justice in righteously punishing the unrepentant, and His mercy in delivering other equally guilty sinners from His wrath. That's called MERCY, GRACIOUS mercy. I'm in perfect agreement with the love of God. God loves those whom He chose to love in this manner: by sending His Son to live, suffer, die, and rise again for them, & he keeps them by His Spirt.
Page 3: Gal 5:16-17 Paul tells Christians to "live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the DESIRES of the SINFUL NATURE. For the sinful nature DESIRES what is CONTRARY to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is CONTRARY to the SINFUL NATURE. They are in CONFLICT with each other, so that you do NOT do what you want." If this is so with the Christian who loathes his sin, how can it be done with the unrepentant sinner, who LOVES his sin?
And Jesus even said that some would confess Him as Lord, while *not* doing what He said. He also said that He would tell them to depart (those who practice lawlessness). Jesus our Lord made a *point* of telling us that He would tell *many* who practice *lawLESSness* to depart. What we do *not* see Jesus doing is telling people who practice *lawFULLness* to depart. It seems that lawlessness is more of a problem than lawfullness since Jesus made it the highlight in His talk (Luke 6/Mat7).
Page 2: 2 Cor 4:3-4 Satan has blinded them so they cannot see the light of the Gospel Eph 2:3 we are BY NATURE children of wrath Titus 3:3-7 says that Christians were once like them -- foolish, disobedient, led astray, enslaved to sinful passions, etc., but that God saved us NOT because of a righteous act (and believing on Christ is a righteous act) but because of His mercy. When Jesus said "stretch out your hand" to the man with the withered hand, was that ability already in that man? No.
Really, this question is perplexing to you? He has simply allowed man to construct, through his actions and freewill this paradigm to illustrate to us, that man has fallen from God's original perfection and is in need of God's solution, which is the redemption of this world through Jesus Christ and we accomplish this through belief in Christ's finished work on the Cross. PERIOD. Believe and be saved
Sinners call upon God and are save BECAUSE God calls them PERSONALLY: It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. (John 6:63) Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ HAS BEEN born of God (1John 5:1) The Bible says that we were DEAD in trespasses & sins. Not that our bodies & minds were dead (though they were absolutely negatively affected by the Fall), but our SPIRITS are dead, & CANNOT understand the things of God. But that Christ made us ALIVE by GRACE, not merit.
Sorry but that verse says nothing whatsoever about "free will", and I believe I've already stated very clearly that "free will" must be defined. A ball is free to roll downhill, but it is not free to roll uphill unaided. A bird with a broken wing is free to fly but cannot. A sinner is free, is not being hindered by God, from repenting and believing. Only his sin and the blinding of Satan is what keeps him in rebellion. And the rest is you ranting about that which you don't understand either.
I dont know if you know this but when he says i never knew you, he doesnt mean the same way that i dont know you it means, they were never spiritually intimate (no relationship) with him. And they was still working in sin and not producing the fruit of his spirit. im not saying if you happen to sin you will go to hell but if you have no change and you are just living in sin completely how did he save you?
Page 3:righteousness. This is not license to sin as lordship proponent claim but a realization of my limitations through my efforts and the gulf between what I can do and what God's holiness demands. I throw myself fully on the Blood of Christ not any works I can do. Should I follow and obey Christ, yes. Can I count those works as righteousness, only if they are divorced from my salvation and purely the work of the Lord in me. Self righteousness is the sin of the Pharisee that Christ condemned
You'll have to define "good and bad acts". If you mean that an unregenerate sinner can love his wife and children, and give alms to the poor, even lay down his life, etc, this is not denied. If you're saying that this creature has within himself the ability to turn from his sin (which he loves) unto Christ in repentance and faith (whom he despises) then you're at odds with the Scriptures. Acts 26:17b-18 enslaved by Satan; Deut 30:6 God must circumcise the heart SO THAT the sinner will love God
This is the FIRST time you've actually said anything resembling a Calvinistic doctrine. I'll address each: #1 is correct #2 is correct #3 is misrepresentation: Free will must be defined. Unregenerates always "freely" reject God. #4 is misrepresentation: God has his reasons, but the reason lies not in the creature. #5 is a mixture of truth & misrepresentation: The Spirit of God CAUSES all of the elect to persevere to the end in the Faith. #6 is a mixture: The new birth enables faith & repentance.
(part 2) ... and this fits in perfectly with what I said before. That God can (has, and does) foreordain and use the wicked acts of men (such as the evil acts towards Joseph) IN ORDER to bring out goodness, and at the same time God is not acquitting the evil acts themselves nor holding those who committed them as guiltless. Like I said previously, notice how you're the one with the objection to God's absolute sovereignty described in Romans 9. It's not Calvinists who object to it, it's you.
Like! Like! Like! Not to get this gentlemann puffed up, but to build him up: thank God that he exposed this horrific doctrine. Lordship is a bewitching dogma!
Ironic, right?

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Also, Pastor Yankee Arnold started a college seminary. He's KJV only and preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ. Faith alone in Jesus Christ alone! We need more people like you and Yankee to start colleges because we're being overrun with false teachers and their false bibles.
Yankee Arnold teaches a Christian can live like the devil and still go to Heaven
You can find that message on TH-cam.
The apostle Jude and Paul both warned about these type false teachers that teach a perverted Grace gospel.
Jude 1:4
For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
Galatians 1:6-8
I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel- 7which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!
1 Timothy 4:1-2
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
God isn’t the author of confusion
Nine years later and still producing fruit. Thank you pastor.
This is one of the best rebuttals to Lordship Salvation that I've seen. Not only logical, but powerful. Beautiful stuff. Thank you.
Romans 10:9-10
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART that God raised him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED.
Luke 9:23-25
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross DAILY and FOLLOW ME.

To believe is faith produced by repentance.
That's why Jesus Peter and Paul said Repent first then Believe.
Mark 1:15
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, (believe) that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord
Acts 20:21
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith (believe) toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Recieve the Gift of the Holy Spirit
Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
Luke 9:23-26
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
Luke 14:27
And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

The Apostle John didn't preach a different gospel than Jesus.
Some think John's gospel was written for evangelism because it says in John 20:31
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
The misunderstanding is because in John's gospel the word believe is always in the (present continuous tense) ,which doesn't mean just believe once, it means go on believing.
Everywhere in John's gospel the emphasis is going on believing.
For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever goes on believing present continuous tense
Whoever is believing. It means to go on doing something, all the way through John's gospel it means go on believing that Jesus is the son of God, going on believing, you may go on having life.
That whosoever goes on believing will never perish but go in having eternal life. Ask any expert in Greek and they will say that's what the original text says
In other words John's gospel was not written to convert people but to tell believers to continue believing.
So John wrote his gospel for believers to make them go on believing in
Jesus as son of God.
It's the going on believing that is so important. Believing that Jesus is the son of God, going on believing that you may go on having life.
John's gospel was written for repented believers. How could an unbeliever understand these verses?
John 14:5-6
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
John 14:12,16,17
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father 16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John's doesn't say to Repent of sin. John also doesn't say anything about Jesus's birth or his water baptism,His temptation and other things are left out as well.
Does that mean they didn't happen?
John says the word believe over 90 times.
John's message is to encourage us to keep believing.
Whosoever Believes, (present continuous tense)
What If scripture said Repent of sin, and you don't have to believe?
Everyone would agree that makes absolutely no sense. Why would anyone Repent if they didn't believe?
To believe is faith produced by repentance.
God bless you for this!
Let those who preach the false gospels be accursed.
Whats that?

I know many, many "saved" Christians who are not pure.
Your short story was so good and relatable I'll send it to some friends, along with this message. Jesus is the Savior, I am not.

Indeed, it blows my mind that people can read the simple truth of Romans 10:9 and twist it to mean the exact opposite of what it says. If you are a young Christian and have not studied the word in depth than you will be trapped by the Lordship salvation Crowd that it means you must show works but you must ask them, what are those works and how many works do I need to do and what is turning from sin? does that mean I can never sin again? if I can, how many sins are ok? what kind of sins are ok? if none are ok than do I lose my salvation if I sin 1 time? or when do I lose my salvation?
lordship salvation leaves no room for a prodigal son, believing in CHRIST ALONE is eternal life
NOT OF WORKS LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST,
Of course we are not saved 'by' our works but if one thinks they can claim the name of Jesus and live anyway they want they are sorely mistaken.

I came out of a group like this, at the point of serious sickness - I was told I was being "Chastened of God" simply for being too conservative politically.
God bless you
We can live like the devil and still go to heaven. If you don’t believe that, you are under a works based salvation.
This is brilliant by Pastor John. The plain Gospel clearly explained in contrast to the confused Lordship message.
Pastor, can you please explain the passage in James and how it relates to the message of salvation? Thanks 😊

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

If we are a true believer then there must be a change of lifestyle
If Jesus was to grant forgiveness of sins without a change of conduct it would make the Grace of God an accomplice to evil
But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 2:1-2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 5:4-5 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
@just another dude
I know it goes against this false teaching that says don't repent of sin and striving for Holiness is works and your performance has nothing to do with salvation and discipleship is optional
Sorry but dozens of scriptures say that salvation can be forfeited.
To all you hardcore Calvinist I ask to consider 2 Peter 2:1. "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.". They were also bought "not with corruptible things, as silver and gold, but with the precious blood of Christ" (1 Peter 1:18)
Jesus' blood was shed for ALL that "WHOSOEVER believes in Him, shall not perish". Calvinism is a lie. Wake up and repent people
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
//Jesus' blood was shed for ALL that "WHOSOEVER believes in Him, shall not perish".//
I think you may be stretching Jn 3:16 to mean that God loves every single person who ever lived.
If the Calvinist says the atonement is effectual only for the elect then it is limited to the elect only but saves completely and perfectly.
amen
The Marriage Supper of the Lamb!
Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready." And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Rev19:7-8
She made HERSELF ready! (Eph4:20-24)
This is why the Professing Church will be 'cast into outer darkness still wearing their filthy rags, speechless, wondering what went wrong with the Magic Cloak their preachers promised would suffice. They failed to understand that at the end: 'He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still. Rev22:11
His Bride is NOT made Righteous and Pure at the wedding supper, She is ALREADY without Spot and Blameless, fully prepared for His coming!
Rev22:14-15
Filthy rags professing Christians will never understand the imperative of Purity and Righteousness, even in the constant illustrations of marriage given in Scripture.
(as the 'Righteous Acts of the Saints!)
Imagine also in the actual marriage a husband returning home from a hard day's work and his wife having prepared for him a sumptuous meal of his favorite dishes, presenting herself to him in her finest array with open arms of love and he waving his arm in her face and calling all her efforts 'filthy rags, and then rebuking her for even making the attempt to please him in the first place!
(a very dangerous assumption!)
This is the VERY reason James says in his Epistle to people of this warped opinion:
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"? Js4:4-5
Do you REALLY think you can live in Sin and shame and that it 'humbles you to constantly fall into vile and unclean habits of the flesh, and that Pleases the Lord? True humility is expressed in turning away from these things and coming CLEAN with God! Sin will only harden your heart against Him.
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. Js4:7-70
In the Lord's sight you have 'adulterated yourself with the world, He calls you a double-minded Sinner in need of a bitter Repentance.
The master of the house is God, and the
great banquet is the kingdom, a metaphor that was suggested by the
speaker at the table. The invited guests picture the Jewish nation. The
kingdom was prepared for them, but when Jesus came preaching that “the
kingdom of heaven is near” (Matthew 4:17), He was rejected.

Lordship

"This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross." (Acts 2:23)
"for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place." (Acts 4:27-28)
God foreordained the crucifixion.
How do you answer this?
For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. Romans 4:13
Here we see that in order to become an heir, it had to happen THROUGH the righteousness of faith. Faith had to be exercised and righteousness given to the believer before he could be called an heir.
My right ear like the sermon. :)
John Calvin Said:
"We call predestination God's eternal decree, by which he compacted with himself what he willed to become of each man. For all are not created in equal condition; rather, eternal life is fore-ordained for some, eternal damnation for others." Bk 3, ch 21, s. 5
"Therefore, those whom God passes over, he condemns; and this he does for no other reason than that he wills to exclude them from the inheritance which he predestines for his own children." Bk 3, Ch 23, s.
A quick question for you Daniel Murphy:
Do you ever pray for the salvation of your friends, family, workmates, even enemies?
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are CALLED according to his purpose. For those whom he FOREKNEW he also PREDESTINED to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And THOSE whom he PREDESTINED he also CALLED, and THOSE whom he CALLED he also JUSTIFIED, and those whom he JUSTIFIED he also glorified."
EVERYONE who is glorified are those who were justified, called, & predestined by God.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
Precisely.
Do you hold that position?"
Of course I do.
Amen! Holiness or hell! You're either in Adam or in Christ! Born again Christians may not be perfect, but I assure you that the relationship with the flesh and the world has permanently changed!
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Calvin says God calls sin Righteousness
"for God's will is, and rightly ought to be, the cause of all things that are.".."For God's will is so much the highest rule of righteousness that whatever he wills, by the very fact that he wills it, must be considered righteous.
No Sound???????????????????
"So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it."
(Isaiah 55:11)
What is it that sinners are to repent of?
Enlighten me.
Unbelief
@@jad77777 So sinners don't need to repent of murder, rape, theft, lying in court, dishonoring their parents, abusing God's name, desecrating the Sabbath, worshipping other gods, etc., even though this is repeated in Scripture again and again?
@@stegokittyWhat you just mentioned is "the law" and the bible says in Romans 3:20 and Galatians 2:16 that no flesh is justified by the law.
Repent = a change of mind (Metanoia in greek)
E.g. Stop trusting in your dead works and false gods to save you, but instead trust in Christ alone and his finished work on the cross.
Romans 3:24-25 "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"
Turning from sins is works:
Jonah 3:10 "And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not."
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Titus 3:4-7 "But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."
Romans 5:8-11 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
4 But to this day the Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear." (Deut 29:2-4)
This is speaking to the covenant people of God. How much MORESO for those who are outside the covenant.
You've no appreciation for how the Fall affected all mankind.
Notice that all whom Christ raises on the Last Day are these particular people:
1) Those whom the Father HAS GIVEN (check the Greek for yourself)
2) Those who learn from the Father.
3) Those who've been enabled by the Father
4) Those who've been drawn by the Father.
Amen!
24:01 ☝️✝️FOREVER MAY HE REIN!
Just to let the reader know, as you've noticed, time and again my opponent has posted and then deleted his comments. Each time it's because he's said something that basically hurts his position. This last time he said to me "You are not sure of your election. No one can be. It is just you thinking you think you know but know one can really now because it is God's good pleasure and not your will that is done."
I'm sure because Christ died for my sins, & His Spirit moved me to repent & believe.
You have misunderstood faith. Lordship Salvation is not about working to be saved but letting God be our Lord so He can save us.
1. All that are Given to him are those who choose to believe
2. those who learn from the father are those who believe
3. those who believe are enabled by the Father
4. Through Christ's death and resurrection the invitation to be drawn to him is extended to all mankind and those who choose to believe will be saved.
This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ and you follow the Gospel of John Calvin
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT PERISH
The rest of you, regardless of what you say, do or want, I will unconditionally leave your cells locked and you will stay imprisoned
Did the king really want all the prisoners set free?
Ty for this excellent message. Romans 4:5 is beautiful.
They are in CONFLICT with each other, so that you do NOT do what you want."
If this is so with the Christian who loathes his sin, how can it be done with the unrepentant sinner, who LOVES his sin?
What do you tell someone who is believing a false gospel but yet says that they are saved
ACCURSED haha na jk 😂
And Jesus even said that some would confess Him as Lord, while *not* doing what He said. He also said that He would tell them to depart (those who practice lawlessness). Jesus our Lord made a *point* of telling us that He would tell *many* who practice *lawLESSness* to depart. What we do *not* see Jesus doing is telling people who practice *lawFULLness* to depart. It seems that lawlessness is more of a problem than lawfullness since Jesus made it the highlight in His talk (Luke 6/Mat7).
I Love how he sometimes calls Paul "Paulie" hahaha. Amazing sermon.
Page 2: 2 Cor 4:3-4 Satan has blinded them so they cannot see the light of the Gospel
Eph 2:3 we are BY NATURE children of wrath
Titus 3:3-7 says that Christians were once like them -- foolish, disobedient, led astray, enslaved to sinful passions, etc., but that God saved us NOT because of a righteous act (and believing on Christ is a righteous act) but because of His mercy.
Sinners call upon God and are save BECAUSE God calls them PERSONALLY:
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. (John 6:63)
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ HAS BEEN born of God (1John 5:1)
The Bible says that we were DEAD in trespasses & sins.
We could do with a preacher like this guy here in the UK.......this country has gone to the wolves.
AMEN! BROTHER!!!!
I'll address each:
#1 is correct
#2 is correct
#3 is misrepresentation: Free will must be defined.
