Any updates? I have a 8 month old yorkie. He enjoys bath time now, but teeth brushing and haircuts, he can't stand lol I switched his toothpaste to a chicken flavor, so that helps a bit
I am a new dog groomer who is learning and your videos help me so much-! I use your videos to help study. Thank you so much-! You are so easy to understand and go over everything. I really appreciate the uploads!
You make it look so easy. My yorkie just turned 1. The first time I gave her a bath she gave me one as well. Btw where did you get nozzle sprayer? Thank you. Looking forward to your other videos.
I love this video as to how you baith a Yorkie puppy!!! Great job just wished everyone did as good of a job as you did on your Yorkie!!! It just takes a little bit of time and patience!!!👍👍👍
Thank you for sharing!! I always struggle with the corners of the eyes, in South Africa we have a product called Bright eyes that helps with the discolouring of the hair in the eye area, it is spray that you spray on cottonwool and wipe the dirt area! I love your videos! 🥰🇿🇦
Hello, I am new to the channel and I wanted to say I enjoyed this video I am suer hyped because I am about to be a Yorkie mom to a girl puppy her name is Aaliyah, and will get to bring her home sometime in November 2023!
I have always been so afraid of getting water in my dogs ears and eyes that I won't spray or lather the face or head!! What if I do get shampoo in the ears or eyes??? What then?
I have 5 year female shih tzu that doesn't walk well. She drages her self often. Get her self dirty. How often should I shower her? I been told not to shower dog often. Your advice is greatly appreciated.
Hi, you can wash her every two weeks or weekly if needed. Be sure to use a gentle dog shampoo. I have many clients that come to me every two weeks for a bath and weekly baths. Its an old myth that dogs should not be bathed often.
I adopted a Yorkie five years ago. He has terrible dry skin. I use both a good oatmeal shampoo and conditioner. Twice a year we have the greasy hair . I am careful to rinse well. Is there anything else you could think about to help? Thank you, V
Hi, Oatmeal dries the skin, try a moisturizing shampoo or conditioner is best. For greasy skin try this amzn.to/2A4LhNB Diet plays a part in the skin condition. There could be medical issues such has a thyroid problem that can cause dry skin or simply your Yorkie may need a certain oil in his food. Talk to your vet about his skin to rule out any health issues.
Love of Grooming, when Buddy passed away he grieved so badly he wouldn't eat. Miss Winny was in her third battle with cancer at the time as well. When she went for surgery, he went to our groomer. He was so matted even after five detangles, they gave up and cut him terrible short to get him free. He weighted three pounds without all the matted hair. Our groomer got him up to four pounds in the almost three months he stayed. Luckily, we also used the same vet. I took him to be weighted for flea meds. We discussed his dry skin and was advised to use oatmeal by my vet. Bill check the Yorkie forum for something else. Thank you so much.
Hi, good question. The chubbs bars are for removing grease or excessive oil from the coat. Yorkies tend to have greasy coats and so do cats. The chubbs bars work excellent on cats, Yorkies and cockers or any greasy ears or greasy pets. Shampoo is for regular bathing on non greasy coats. Hope this helps
Hello it's me again :) One of my shih tzu's 8 years old has has major skin irritation. Has gotten worse this past year. She doesn't react well to the flee drops which I order offline, so I give her the pills as directed. Anyway, she now licks herself so much that she will make her skin bleed. Her hair is long. I have also shaved her but still the same issues. I have been keeping the 'collar of shame' (lol) on her like it's become a part of her body :( She gets terrible red soars that scab up. Only shampoo that I have found is Curaseb Chlorhexidine medicated shampoo. It works wonders for about 3 days, but it cost $19.99 for 16.0 fL oz. And also the spray. I also give her benadryl everyday. Is there anything else that you would recommend as in shampoo or conditioners/creams that would help with her condition? Help please, and thank you! :)
Hi, that too bad about her skin. Has she been to the vets? One of my dogs has skin issues. I like Soos Shampoo, it works for a while but the best one so far is the Nagayu spa tablets. You use the tablets after the bath as a rinse. My vet prescribes medication for him and that helps alot. Look up Nagayu spa tablets for dogs and you can check it out. Have you tried switching food?

My 2 pounds yorkie turns into a 200 pounds mastiff when the water starts flowing.
Should I use my hair dryer on my yourkie?
You do a great job. I’d be afraid to get soap on the eyes, water in the nose.
Diluting something I never did but will start doing I can see how better it is for coverage
You are the best=)!!! I wish you could be my groomer for Bella. You are so reassuring to the furry kids. I learned a lot I will try...Thank You❣️
I remembered how my mother used to bath me

Welcome to my channel. You must be excited to get your new puppy! Enjoy!
Awwww thats cute, but my Yorkie isnt that calm,he turned 1 on 6th January 2021,when i give him a bath,he gives it to me😂😂😂😂
I have always been so afraid of getting water in my dogs ears and eyes that I won't spray or lather the face or head!! What if I do get shampoo in the ears or eyes??? What then?
Loved this. Thank you
All fine if you don’t have yorkies who will fight to get away from any drop of water - your dog is so compliant - not a typical yorkie at wash time
Great little chap. You must have soft water I can't get a lather like that with a whole bottle of shampoo.
He is a cutie
What type of shampoo do you use on your yorkie
Love this video

Should I use a conditioner even though the shampoo has conditioner in it
Hi, I don't use conditioner after the bath especially on Yorkies as they already have a greasy coat. The conditioner would make the coat too greasy.
My Yorki shakes during and after the bath he gets super scared and he’ll try to run away from the water
awww. how old is your baby?

How often do you wash your yorkie? :)
Every month is ideal. You can wash weekly or every two weeks.

What is the difference bw chubb bars and shampoo?

So baby shampoo won't work? I've always used it, in case it gets in their eyes.
You can use baby shampoo but still be careful around the eyes as it still stings even though they say it's tearless
THTS WHAT I USE.
Please reply with the name of the degreasing soap bar and where to buy it. Please & Thank you.GrammyG
Hi, this is the degreasing bar amzn.to/2MLgoWf

Only if my dog stand still and not bite me or bark at me or try to leave when I bath him

What was special about that bar soap?
Hi the bar of soap is great for degreasing as yorkies are greasy.
The dog I'm watching for my neighbors got poop all over his damn butt.
My dog never lets me near his face
what kind of shower head are you using?
Hi, I use this sprayer hose, it has nice pressure amzn.to/2Y2n6fq
You don’t really need to wash him/ her twice poor dog
Why not? Why is he a poor dog? You do know that dogs need to be groomed right?
dont use human shampoo on yorkies, you need a ph neutral one really
That's what she said. She said she never does.
