Man that opening song is so phenomenal.
2002 was the year I was born, and this music for whatever reason brings back the same kind of vibes of the memories I had so long ago at the coastal city my family went to every summer… which is now the place where I currently live and reliving and creating new memories everyday…

That's nice to hear. If you enjoy this album as well you should check their other albums as well, there are more than 20. They broke up on 2005 but reunited on 2012. On wikipedia there is a list of all of their albums. Almost all of them are on TH-cam. The ones that aren't, are on Spotify.

I started listening to Casiopea when someone noted their influence on MvC2's soundtrack. I can definitely hear it; heck, Horizonte feels like it would fit in with the rest of the tracks from the game.
A lot of japanese composers are inspired by J-fusion bands and artists. If you liked this, you should listen to their other albums and other bands like T square, Dimension(First Dimension, Second Dimension,...) and Katsumi Horii Project.

I think what might be tripping people up is that this is somewhat different from the "Classic Casiopea" sound from the 80s. Personally I think I also prefer that sound, but that's personal taste and definitely not a knock on this album. And the fact that there is a consistent thread and some commonality between the two is nice to hear.

Hard to tell they had many good ones. but I almost dismissed it because it's from the 2000s and it was not a good era for music. but this is the real deal probably one of the best albums from 2002.

i'm getting nostalgic. i remember as a child, playing that mall tycoon game (despite knowing what i'm actually doing lol) and the music was just like this. its just me, my mall that going bankrupt because i keep adding things i can't afford, and this music blasting off my speakers. good stuff.

Ahhhh, 2002, the year I was born as well, but the fact I was born in the summer, born in a coastal city, born into a Greek and English family, literal islanders, this album hits wayyyy too close to me, and to home.
