Casiopea is by far my favorite band
And mint jams is our favourite album

Casiopea Live!@@amral-meligy9602
Just listened to Mint Jams, and that's not even 10 years before this one, and it sounds so different! Love how they could evolve like that
Cause they had different members in few years
lilmanjs166 this one is also a composition from songs from 1982 to about 1987. I believe Mid-Manhattan was 1982, Dazzling, Misty Lady, and S-E are 1983. So on and so forth.
@@HyperDoge404 this is the same line up from mint jams. the bassist and drummer were changed in 1989, then the drummer returned in the mid 90s
pretty sure this is just a compilation album, because I recognise these specific renditions of each song from various different albums.
Misty Lady is the original from Photographs, and Galactic Funk is the version from 4x4, just as a couple of examples.
@@Harrinsain Actually Galactic Funk is originally from Cross Point
Tetsuo Sakurai - Bass
Akira Jimbo- Drums
Issey Noro - Electric Guitar
Mukaiya Minoru - Keyboard
Tetsuo's Gentle Hearts with Greg Howe and Dennis Chambers is terrific.
'Wrong. It's Minoru Mukaiya.
this is great music i panicked when it got taken down
thanks
Galactic Funk

I still have the original cassette, glad to save it safe
bien dicho kagasawa
These guys are one of a kind. What great grooves on this
Great way to start a Monday morning
yes!
Or any other day really ;)
Bass is out of control fav casiopea bass groves on any album
yes!
casiopea is such a massive influence on video game music that this box probably inspired the Game Boy game box design
it's what the thumbnail jumped out at me as
Fusion Jazz in general sounds so much like Nintendo music! You can clearly hear where Koji Kondo took inspiration from.
that white strip isn't actually part of the album cover. A lot of Japanese stuff from albums to books come with a little thin wrap-around strip as a sort of advertisement for the product which can be slid off
I wouldn't be surprised if some of their tracks inspired some tracks from the Gran Turismo games.
@@Sqwivig You mean the other way around? Casiopea predates the earliest Nintendo video games (with music).
"In the pocket" is the most video gamey track ever not in a video game. I can here the INSERT COIN all over it.
WITH THIS TRACK I MET TO CASIOPEA SINCE 1985 UNTIL NOW STILL LIKE THEM
This sounds like it was produced by Toshiki Kadomatsu! Love this sound way more than their earlier style.
@@user-fo5pn8jr6n What high prices? Bad ones?
Holy smokes. Awesome, thank you for posting!
You're doing the lords work Flavi-Chan
Fantastic!
Love these guys.
Super fun album! I love it♥
Funky indeed! Love Casiopea :).

Excellent !!!!!!!!!!!!! j'adore !
Dazzling has that name for a reason 😍
Bought after one listening, i can't go wrong with this LP. Thanks Flavi-chan
WHERE'D YOU FIND IT?! Looked for the LP after a single listen and had no luck...
@@chandlermccoy1813 I think there are few copies on Discogs ;)
BY FAR THE BEST RENDITION OF MISTY LADY
Bombin' ya with that SOUND!
this album definitely gets better track by track. Dazzling is just that dazzling.
No kidding. It's like every track bounces higher off of the one before it.
I hadn't heard of casiopea - but yay for the internet = one good use loads of new music you've never heard
another Japanese secret weapon......
If you think Dazzling is good here, the live version from Perfect Live is even better.
Amazing as always
SUPER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MERCI
excellent music.i like this.
I love that font
AMAZING!!!!!!LOVE IT !!!!
very funky stuff
20:15 that drumbeat is so metal
Metal takes a surprising amount of influences from jazz in the drumming department. Blast beats were first developed in jazz iirc.
I'm in love!
A great compilation of some of Casiopea's funkier numbers. I would have loved to see The Continental Way and Froufrou on here.
Fellow Down Upbeat enjoyer
Froufrou for sure

That is very interesting to see how different are the two versions of Galactic Funk, this one (studio) and the live version.

This great music, depicts the hi-tech world of country where it came, Dai Nipon, Great Japan !

This and "Landing to summer" is my jam
very goode :^)
good music
change Itの代わりに「SMILE AGAIN」とか「SUPER SONIC MOVEMENT」とか「LIVING ON A FEELING」なんかをチョイスしてほしかったと当時を思いました。
That bass!!
The intro to Something's Wrong reminds me of Mötley Crüe - Dr Feelgood. Doesn't have the Hi-hats and is a different drum beat altogether, but the modulation of the guitar makes it similar sounding.
Night storm♥️♥️♥️
For some reason in the middle of 'dazzling', my brain was waiting for the voice of tatsuro yamashita to sing...idky
Or Takenobu Mitsuyoshi - DAYTOOOONAAAAA
Place but Japan has never felt so warming
listen to this and forget about covid for 5 minutes .......

Casiopea... WITH LYRICS???????????????
*B A S S*
Its that the voice from Jhon Waite on the third track?
This feels like a combination of mario kart snes and sonic cd
This is definitely more "Sega". Most of the Sega soundtracks are heavily inspired by Fusion, and Nintendo takes more of a Ragtime approach.
@@rockmanhunter The drummer from Blind Spot (nee Sega Sound Team) now plays in Casiopea.
That's some Seinfeld slap bass....
Got some song in your ads
I'm looking for a funk jazz band with the letter "i" but I can't find one, can anyone help?
looks like sega arcade games music, like galaxy force lol
