It's so very nice to families working together. I was raised pretty much the same. My Grandmother had me in the kitchen, learned on a wood stove. Today I'm lucky to have had such a back ground, I grow most all the vegetables and as many fruit as possible. Our meat is raised here. Girls, your very blessed to learn it will carry you a life time.

Misty and her husband were not part of the church. Some people think that they can imitate the outward and find fulfillment. But it only works when people change on the inside, then the outward change will follow. I know many, many, very happy and content couples within the church. I know of no happy marriages outside of the church. I hope you can find the peace and joy in your life that can only come from God. We only share what's within us. Either love, or hate.. The King's Daughters (no, not me * smile *) are a good place if you want conservative and ready made. Christian Coverings is currently re-organizing the business... Garlands of Grace has both more conservative and also contemporary coverings. They are a bit more pricey but good quality and they stay on well. Or try etsy. Hope that helps!

Feb. 17, 2019----Burnt or not, bacon ALWAYS taste great. As for the grease, that goes on Grizzly's dry dog food. Once he realizes it's there, it's quickly eaten so he can sit on his fat lazy behind staring at me waiting for his share of the bacon. Thanks for the video.

My 9 yr old Granddaughter always wants to make biscuits when she comes. She's so happy when we are making and so proud of herself when she eats them. It's important stuff.
I have been teaching my niece to cook. Sometimes if it comes to cutting a piece of meat like that I will let her use the scissors that I use in the kitchen. I started her at the age of 8. She lives with her dad so she has to learn to cook, his isn't very tasty. lol

I remember growing up with my mother would make food for Sunday and it should make it there meals throughout the week with what was left over like making a whole roasted chicken or two of them and then she would take it apart and blow the bones off and it should make like soups or chicken and dumplings, Barbara casserole

Very nice! I learned how to cook from both of my parents, my grandmother, and my aunts too! I love making the food that my Mom made for me and my siblings. I really love how your kids all work together to make a meal. Kids need to learn practical skills; skills that I call the home arts. These skills are not valued by our society anymore. It is easier to get heat and serve food instead of making it yourself. It is so nice to see a family work together!
The girl is so young her fingers and hands bend back when kneading the dough. But that pan-baked bread must taste heavenly with lots of butter and peanut butter.
I love that you use a canning jar ring as a biscuit cutter. My favorite tool for cutting biscuits and molasses cookies is an oil lamp globe. I have a spare set aside just for that purpose. When the grandchildren are visiting, we use the small end of the globe for tiny biscuits and cookies. :)

The only problem with that breakfast is you didn't use the bacon drippings to make gravy for them biscuits. Growing up we always had gravy biscuits.
Memories of gravy biscuits is wonderful but plain biscuits are a more healthy

I remember growing up with my mother would make food for Sunday and it should make it there meals throughout the week with what was left over like making a whole roasted chicken or two of them and then she would take it apart and blow the bones off and it should make like soups or chicken and dumplings, Barbara casserole
I hope she really did quit this way of life. For her,and her kids. Probably the Husband's big idea.

I dont roll out and cut my biscuit dough out. I just form them in my hands and I like mine big. Often referred to as Hogs Head Biscuits in Kentucky.
I want to come live with its y’all. Maybe you can teach my wife how to cook and take care of a house while I do the work around the place and make a living for us.
Very nice! I learned how to cook from both of my parents, my grandmother, and my aunts too! I love making the food that my Mom made for me and my siblings. I really love how your kids all work together to make a meal. Kids need to learn practical skills; skills that I call the home arts. These skills are not valued by our society anymore. It is easier to get heat and serve food instead of making it yourself. It is so nice to see a family work together!

The girl is so young her fingers and hands bend back when kneading the dough. But that pan-baked bread must taste heavenly with lots of butter and peanut butter.

I love that you use a canning jar ring as a biscuit cutter. My favorite tool for cutting biscuits and molasses cookies is an oil lamp globe. I have a spare set aside just for that purpose. When the grandchildren are visiting, we use the small end of the globe for tiny biscuits and cookies. :)
