There's just something warm about a country house and kitchen. I never had a liking of very bright kitchen with white counters, cupboards, tables. Maybe I wouldn't want to dirty the surfaces when spills happen. It's been how many years but I kept coming back to see Misty's cooking and her kitchen, As I like paying visits to my old ancestral 1920s home of my grandparents.
Love your recipes and love watching you cook. All your fans can tell you love cooking and sharing it with your fans. I don't think I could use a wooden stove. Everything would be either uncooked or burnt. Practice is the name of the game. I just watched you making butter, like my mama did. My mother would always use the buttermilk and pour it over crumbled up cornbread in a tall glass. I guess it would be an early kind of cereal. Thanks again for your Vlog.
I make a similar casserole. Instead of doritos I use biscuits. You mash the biscuits out and put chicken and cheese inside them and roll it up and then take the soup and pour it over them and put cheese on top. Its called cheesy chicken.
Your cooking looks and tastes absolutely yummy l love your southern charm which makes your cooking all that much better. Keep up your southern charm and cooking Misty.👍👍👍❤
Huh, I really do miss you Misty. I'm a past subscriber. I hope you're doing well and your family is too. I loved watching the simpler lifestyle and in fact we have built our own homestead about three years back. We're still building it too and still loving all of it. This homestead lifestyle brings me a real sense of well-being and contentment. Misty just happens to be one of the people who inspired me and my husband to take a chance and start our own self sufficient homestead. I will say thanks for that. ❤❤❤ wish you were still an active part of our lives. It was kinda like losing a friend when you left. 😟
Hey Misty, I just found your channel. I cook just about the same way you do. Cooking is my passion, I can tell you enjoy it too. I will continue to keep watching, and by the way great recipes!
I make a similar casserole, but mix a can of Rotel tomatoes and green chilies with the soup. I call it Mexican chicken casserole. I don't add the garlic powder or Zaterains. It is really good. Found my recipe in Lions Club cookbook.
New visitor, enjoyed seeing your video, I heard about your videos from another cook Noreen’s Kitchen, glad she put me onto you, thanks for sharing your recipes.
Hello Heaventime50...I believe Misty said she uses Zatarran's......I think it's that Cajan type blend of spices..they sell it in the food market. :) Lisa from the Jersey Shore, NJ
Misty might not use ingredients ya'll approve of. But they eat just like the rest of us. Just because they are plain doesn't mean they have to eat plain bland foods. I would like to see all you downers prepare a meal as quick as she can get it together and get that woodstove heated just right in order to cook not burn it all to a crisp. I've tried it and I admire her for that ability alone. If you want to criticize go watch someone else.
Im sure it probably tastes ok but ive never seen anything like it. Maybe too much garlic for my taste but cant deny it is good for you. I would like your chicken broth to make homemade soups. To many soups in cans these days and not enough homemade. Was surprised you used canned mushroom soup.. homemade mushroom soup is so much nicer and real easy to make. Relax with the camera.. your doing a good job. Thanks for sharing
Mable Quarry she's not like this anymore. I just watched a video and she wears regular clothes and make up again. That's maybe why she stopped the videos.
I wish she would come back to! even if things have changed, her knowledge is still the same & she's a natural you tuber! 🙏 for you girl whatever you are doing, we would love to see you back on you-tube!
@@Ego-de4dt may i ask, what video? Ive just found her videos, i love watching! Now I'm so sad. Good to know she's still out somewhere, Hopefully we'll all get to see her again sometime. thanks
@@Dj-ws9rj hello Donna, I've only seen three of her videos and I'm already hooked! That's the way I grew up cooking with my mom and my grandma. God bless her and maybe we'll see Misty again soon.take care.
misty.... gurrrl. im making this right now.. its in the oven... I didn't have any cr. of mush soup. so I used cr. of chik. but its all good because I used lots of garlic powder.lol love your videos!!!
that looks very yummy. I will have to fit it this week. every thing is cooked so your mainly heating it up. I don't have a wood stove. Would I put my stove @350* for around 1 hr? Thanks for all your movies . What does Mountainman do when you out working around the farm? Do you home school the kids or do they go to public school? We are raising our granddaughter she is 13 now. take care SpinsMom
There is fantasy/luxury country cooking and there is what the naysayers call by other names. I think it's time to distinguish the fantasy variety and set it aside with gilded lilies and caviar (give me a second and I'll have a clever Range Rover-related quip, too), and let women like Misty get on with their work.
hello I don't mean to be rude. I love your channel but where I'm from children don't bite something and put it bk let alone touch it. if you touch it u eat it. just thought I'd mention that.
Too funny , this is not "country cooking" LOL Here in Illinois this is food stamp food , trailer trash food or jailhouse cooking . Doritos & canned soups & salad dressing ? That stuff ain't country or homesteading food ! Your meals should be coming off the land , chickens , fresh veg , eggs , meat & home processed foods . I am NOT digging this type of video . Stick to HOMEMADE non-processed , non-pre packaged food . Good country cooking . This is Honey Boo Boo type shit !
+summerannify also - there are SO many other spices out there - grow your own herbs ! There is more to tantalize your palate than Zatarain's , garlic & S&P .... curry , smoked paprika , cilantro , lime & lemon garam masala , cumin I could go on & on ! LIVE a little & experiment !
HA HA your commit might have been mean till you added the "Bless your heart" gotta love a southern woman they get it done.Misty cooks lots of meals "off the land"growing her own vegatables and meat and eating meat harvested by hunting.Just because she makes one meal using processed food is not the end of the world.

Salad dressing in Australia is vinegar & olive oil ..
patrick45sue salad dressing almost everywhere can be oil and vinegar haha
patrick45sue thanks for the Australian update of the week
That's a vinaigrette.
Yum....looks so good! Every now and then a fatty salty meal like this is in order... plus you have salad...that makes it healthy right? Lol!
I’d put onions on side even if you pic them onion out it will still have that onion smell and taste . You can read I hat raw onion . Only cooked 🙋♀️
This gives me the trots just watching it. But it still looks good!
