I'm a Sharks fan but I'm glad the Oilers won for him. I LOVED that moment with McDavid and Ben at the beginning of the game. What a great guy McDavid is - and honestly, he is probably inspired by this kid's courage and tenacity. God bless the boy.

So seeing McDavid scooch over soon as he saw Benny coming his way made me realize he is a special person inside...But then seeing him lead his teammates to gather up and make sure the moment would be the best moment of Benny's life really drove that notion home for me. They will both wear 97 and play together in heaven ❤
People say he’s a robot but that’s bc they see Connor mcdavid the athlete not Connor Mcdavid the human. If more ppl saw his BTS stuff he’d be even more talked about
indeed! I could tell the same thing in the pre-game ceremony, the way he bent down and got his face right into that kid's, probably saying the sweetest things imaginable. I am a Sharks fan, but I'm glad the Oilers won for this kid.

When I saw Zack Kassian lead the charge with Ben and present the helmet in the dressing room, then Connor and Evander (helping him into his leather vest!) to cap it all off, I thought it was pretty cool. There was of course the group team photo later on. That was classy! All of the players had such an impact on Ben, realizing how each of them can make a difference in someone's life! It is very likely that many of the players also visit sick children in children's hospitals on their time. So kudos on that too! Prayers to Ben!

Ben has brain cancer and has beaten it but it has come back oilers media group herd of his story and gave him the full oilers treatment. Bens favourite players are Connor and Leon so the organization set this up for Ben.

As a father to a 6 year old boy and someone who also played hockey for 22 years and my father taught me at age 3 when I learned from Eric lindros and Chris pronger when they first entered the NHL, it would be a real blessing to see Connor father a child in this future. He may not want hockey for his child, he may. I can say Connor wasn’t born to be the best hockey player. He really started young, practiced stick handling more and longer than most kids and probably attended the right hockey camps to become great. He may not want that life for his child but it would be epic to see. Cheers Connor.
