This beachfront hotel is located on the Ramon de Antilla Peninsula, at the entrance to Nipe Bay and facing Cayo Saetia, on the northwestern coast of the Cuban province of Holguin.
It's about 120 km (~ 1 hour 45 minutes) from Holguin International Airport (Aeropuerto Frank Pais)

Looks can be very deceiving. I am here now and at times wish I was back home. Resort and rooms are beautiful, if you dont look at the details. Beautiful spa, they increased the price by 40% while we are here. Beach has sharp shells that split your feet open. Slippery walkways when wet. They did not show the lineups for the food nor the selection. Hope you like eggs and pork and more pork and wait for it too. If you like a drink at the lobby, 15-20 min wait at the bar for one. Lucky if they have tonic, or cola. If you think of getting diamond club, don't. Same rooms, almost same bar selection, one extra dinner. Just got wifi connection, after 4 days too. If you need internet, expect to use data. I recommend looking elsewhere.

Cuba is the same every where. I laugh when they say a la carte. Don't get fooled same food.

Cuba can be like that in all areas. Sometimes there are shortages of random things. If you don't like it stop being so cheap and goto Mexico. There is a reason cuba has deals, the people are awesome the nature is incredible the food can be awesome as well but there will be times when things just aren't available. Again, you're being cheap and expecting otherwise.

I'm here now on my 2nd day, no cola, no tonic we had eggs yesterday but not today, I asked my sunwing rep if I could go back on the next flight they said it will 465$ for a one way flight back when I paid 955$ I'm trapped

It really depends on the season, and the hotel location.
Usually winter time during the dry season there is no issues. If the hotel is surrounded by water then that may also cause some problems with the Hehenas (that’s how they call them).
There are places where they never have hehenas because of the location and the care of the hotel (spraying, smoke).
Before you chose a hotel check the information/reviews currently because things change as I mentioned during season, etc.
