I let out a sigh of relief. Thank you.
I heard this song for the first time when I was 15 years old. I was a bratty teenager with a rotten attitude but this song brought tears to my eyes. It felt like it was healing my past while also helping me look forward to the future. I was so depressed, so weak, back then. This song, and the memories and thoughts I associated with it, helped me get back on my feet. I would just lay back and not focus on anything but the sounds of this piece. It was the closest I ever got to mediating.
I’m 20 now. I’ve fought and clawed my way through the clutches of depression and suicidal thoughts. It’s the first time in my life I’m proud to be me, and I’m so, so happy I’m alive. This is the first time I’ve listened to this song in nearly 2 years, because the memories were just too painful to bear. The memories that I call now though, I can look at them with a new light. I can reminisce without guilt. I can still feel the same healing I felt when I first heard this.
If you’re reading this, I hope life has been treating you well. It’s hard, especially right now, but take it from someone who’s been there. Life is worth it. Love is worth it. Stay, breathe, and feel yourself in the moment your in. Things are rough and you’ll have to fight, but I promise you that it’s worth every second. Be safe, my friends. I wish you nothing but happiness ❤️

I’ve been listening to this remix since it was released. I don’t repeat it except for special occasions. Like driving my project car along the coast. Or sailing on the ocean water. Or smoking on top of a beautiful mountain top I hiked. Then I come back occasionally to relive those moments. I close my eyes and feel my hand out my Volkswagen window with the thick ocean water. Or the nice mountain chill breeze air hitting my face. This song holds so much for me.
I thought I was the only one that only plays this occasionally! I don't want to ruin this song by putting it in my daily playlist and overplaying it. Sometimes at night once every few months when I feel nostalgic I just play this song and let my memories play out in my head. Mostly around the years 2015 - 2017 when I was still in high school.

I remember it was 4 5 years ago when i listened to odesza for the first time and it changed my life. I became more calm more focused. This genre was new to me and i kept looking for songs like these. "Chillwave" they used to call it . Even now , even after spotify and all i don't get much songs like this one

This song stirs up both happy and painful memories for me. Forty five years ago I had something very beautiful. Something once in a lifetime beautiful, and she loved me. Sadly I was blinded by my own youthful arrogance to what I truly had. Out of that arrogance, a brief, meaningless act of unfaithfulness turned her away from me and into the arms of another. I would never see her again. Yet the painful regret of my foolishness I would carry with me over the years and decades. Sadly, I recently learned that she is no longer of this world. When I hear this song however, she is still alive. Alive one summer night, on an island rock, in the middle of a bay, just the two of us under a million stars, so many years ago.
