@mrdopeyninja nope because the ax7000 utilizes a built in class d amplifier whereas the ax5000 do not. You cannot use your amplified bose system along with amp from the ax7000. Now they may make a bypass you could buy where you eliminate using your factory bose but depending which bose system you have then you may have to purchase & install all new speakers. I've seen some of the GM vehicles have audio systems where the bose have the amplifiers built in with the actual speaker & then ones that are more traditional that have the bose amp mounted separate from the bose speaker meaning the amp isn't actually built onto each of the speakers. Idk GM & Bose seems to have done some strange things & for what reason I do not understand because seems like nobody is ever happy with the sound of their bose system. So many ppl upgrade them so makes me think they must not be that great. I can't say one way or the other because I've never been into Chevy vehicles. Is the minimum texture very notable? I want to upgrade to the 7000 because of the anti glare but if it does not have a smooth touchscreen slide like an iphone i dont want it, Again is the difference very notable?
It's kind of hard to explain, it's definitely not a glass-like touch like a smartphone. But still very smooth.
Is this unit idatalink compatible?
Nope
Does anyone know if the 5000 has the same "quick wakeup" feature? That's more of a deciding factor than the built-in amp.
Yes it does!
On crutchfield, it says this would not fit my 13 Mazda 3 hatchback with Bose audio while the xav 5000 does. Shouldn’t they both fit?
Well minus the few I like: Buick Grand National, Typhoon, Cyclone, 94-96 Impala SS, G-Body Monte Carlo SS, old Chevelles, old Cheyenne pickups & few select others. (Note I'm not a Chevrolet hater, they just were never my favorite but I have always loved automobiles & hot rods. Completely off topic I know lol)
Crutchfield says this head unit isn’t compatible with my 2010 Toyota Tacoma with jbl system , but the ax5000 is. Why is that?
Should be fine. Here's the interface with steering wheel control built in:

I'm having an issue (new install). I wired my main speakers together correctly, however my subwoofer (wired to both rear speakers) options aren't unavailable for sub direct. Options are greyed out. Help!
Did you figure this out ? Same problem
How does this unit compare to the Pioneer DMH-WC6600NEX? I know the Pioneer has wireless Apple CarPlay and HD Radio, but those are the only advantages I can see.
In terms of expandability, the DMH-WC6600NEX has a lot more possibilities. The XAV has no video inputs so screen mirroring to it is a little more complicated. The DMH has RCA AV inputs. But the DMH is a modular unit, so there is not guarantee you'll find a dash kit for your make/model/year.
Will this work on a 2018 Lexus IS300? please reply =)
Your entertainment system cannot be replaced :(
how do you silence the google maps and just listen to music while using navigation ?
Have you turned the voice setting off on the actual app on your phone?
I have a 2017 JKU, and purchased this head unit for its boosted internal power and use of Apple CarPlay. In the future, could I plug in a subwoofer that has its own internal amp? Such as, the Alpine PWE-S8 (subwoofer with a built-in Class D amplifier (120 watts RMS/240 watts peak)). Or do i have to go the typical external amp, leading to a woofer? Trying to keep things tight with the smallest amount of space taken up. Thank you.
It's totally fine to plug a powered subwoofer to the subwoofer direct input
Will this fit a 2017 Toyota Camry LE?
Sub Diarect work ....?
With Amplifier or without amplifier
US and Canada only
Europe: Am I joke to you ?
lol
Does it play video files??
Hi Team, can this be installed in a Single Din system
Nope, only a double din. This is strictly a double din stereo, the chassis was made to make installation easier. Look into the XAV-AX8000 which is a single din stereo with a double din display. www.qualitymobilevideo.com/xav-ax8000.html
@@Qualitymobilevideo Isn't the 7000 a single din install though?
Cant find this in the UK :c
still looking lol
Will this fit on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler JK?

Can I use Sony XS-XB1621C Components (60W RMS/350W Peak) on Front and Sony XS-XB1641 Coaxials (60W RMS/350W Peak) on Rear on 4 channels without an external amplifier?
I think rms is 50 so those should be fine your under powering them
Lower ohm louder
Hopefully sounds as good as my pioneer 80prs headunit that was designed in 2012-13 lol! With my luck it won’t tho
Oh no, the 80PRS is still top of the line in audio quality!
