I must be honest. I can't take my eyes off of Leigh Halfpenny doing the Haka, when he's a Welshman lol. It's so unusual seeing a European doing a Maori-style war dance. A rarity, even. Not that it was a bad thing mind!
Rarity? European Kiwis do the haka often. All races in NZ do it. YT is full of schools doing it before 1st XV matches, etc etc blah blah blah.
@@Sunflower-dt6ev European Kiwis doesn't mean the same as a European that has no Maori ancestry whatsoever. Obviously Halfpenny is Welsh and a fully fledged European.
@conorcahill5422 Kiwi Europeans have zero Maori ancestry mate. But I see what you mean. But like I say, hardly a rarity, the rarity is probably more that we hardly get any players moving down here from the NH. When they do, they are required to learn the culture, which may or may not include a team haka.

They didn't do it at all last year so no good having a mean haka wen it's not even used,their preseason game yesterday was a disaster wont be winning that first game against the crusaders,no way.
