Don’t buy it! The Ninja collects mold!🤮 I should have read the reviews on Amazon saying you need to remove the rubber gasket from the blade lid cause it was stinking after the second use like a wet rag smell and finally after using it for two months I removed the rubber gasket and there was a small pit of mold forming and small food particles despite the fact I clean it after each use. Sadly I’m going to ditch it soon cause on reviews many people said it even stared to leak a black liquid from the base of the blades that “melted”.😭it’s sad cause in general it works very well to blend but I’m not going to go through the hassle each time to remove the gasket after using the machine and I don’t want to wait for it to “melt” as many claimed on Amazon reviews.
@@clisaa6974 Oh,no. Mine was delivered yesterday. Only turned it on to make sure it runs but haven't really used it yet. Thanks for your warning. If I do have those problems at least the store I bought from is great for returns and refunds. Oh, wish me luck, please.
This happens with pretty much any blender (even water bottle lids) Same thing happened with my nutribullet & others I’ve tried 😒 now I wash it, remove the rubber, use a brush to get to the tiny spaces. Dry the rubber & put it back on.

I just got one of these yesterday and tried my hand in hummus. It cuts through everything but you need enough liquid for it to mix and make sure it’s not too runny.Very fine line but got the hang of it? Jalapeño cilantro hummus is amazing.
I'm going to do a diy mod to one of my Ninja cups to add a plunger to help make super thick smoothie bowls. I'll just drill a small hole in the bottom of one of the cups, and then make a diy plunger using the plunger from a French Press coffee maker or something similar. I'll use a small section of some sort of tube on the outside of the cup to act as a plunger stop so the plunger can't contact the blades.
Using ice or frozen fruit............after several uses, the plastic will become permanently frosted, like sandblasted. Better to defrost the fruit first.
Thanks for the fun video. I’ve watched other videos and it appears that the order of assembling the ingredients will avoid the freeze-up you experienced. Dad, maybe read the directions before posting a video?😁
I've been in the market for a smoothie/shake maker without being a 72oz blender. So far watched numerous videos of people just going head first without reading directions... To be fair. I don't read directions either till mistakes are made. Ended up buying this one.
Not so much that the blender stops working as ice sticks to itself, I agree you should be adding more liquid but sometimes adding so much liquid defeats the purpose of adding anything else to the smoothie so stuffing the container with frozen stuff isn’t a great idea even on a conventional blender. Fresh or not frozen ingredients would blend well the first time.
My Ninja Ninja Foodi Smoothie Bowl Maker and Nutrient Extractor* 1200WP smartTORQUE 4 Auto-iQ Presets - Silver does not have that issue and I barely put logistical in my smoothe. I love the smoothie bowl as I can make sherbert, ice cream, nut butter spread, and some good ol strawberry margaritas. I pack my full it crushes everything
The bad thing with that blender the design is when it's a small container and you're putting in a fair bit of ice and frozen things it jams because there's nowhere really for the ingredients to go because there's not enough space if that would've been made in a blender with a larger container it would have done it no problem.
Man that was painful watching the actual smoothie making lmfao, makes it look very difficult to make a drinkable smoothie, I’ve used this blender before so I know it works good but if I was to only watch this video I don’t think I would buy one hahahahah
Having the threads on the INSIDE of the jar is idiotic! Makes it a pain to clean, and after blending, those same threads will be full of smoothie just before you have to screw on the "to go" lids. Fail.
If you're using frozen fruit instead of fresh, you could skip the ice.....
This is the sixth review of this product that I've seen and yours is by far the best. Thank you.

Best review I've seen so far.
Can it blend a watermelon with the rind

Thanks for sharing
With frozen fruit, you don’t need to use ice. You needed more liquid.
@@darceyderosa2426 Thanks
my $700 vitamix does the same. They all do
any compatible grinder attachment for this model?
