I really enjoyed your History Explorations, delving into your personal family history and heritage. I too can trace my ancestry back to the Mayflower on my Mom’s side, and my middle name honors that ancestor. I really enjoyed seeing all the locations, I’ll never be able to go there, so thank you very much for your careful and thoughtful research to find all the places from history.
Loved the haunted houses, they were fun and scary, even without scare actors.

Enjoyed your trip to Salem and Beverly. I lived between the Witch House and The Ropes Mansion 25 years ago on Essex St. It's amazing how much Salem has changed. Knowing how much you enjoy good food the North Shore has the best Roast Beef Sandwiches. Nick's in Beverly is close to where you were. How close is the castle along the river by Washington Irving's house. You can see it from the Tappan Zee bridge. Enjoy your and Chris's channels.

It was great to see the both of you's having such a GREAT time! When we walked thru the 'Frankenstein......' haunt, we were SO bummed there was nothing to do with the Karloff character! Why Regan McNeil, clowns? NOT. I do love that town though. Now that you have been you REALLY need to read 'The Ropes House' Great horror story about the famous house that is there.

I'm not proud to say this, but it's kind of funny now. In 1987 my friends and I went drinking in Salem around Halloween time. We went to the Witch Museum, and I puked all over the floor during the tour. I'm probably still banned 37 years later.

I love Salem and can’t wait to go back! The orange lights above the park are there all year round but they turn them on in October during the spooky season when that park is full of vendors
There is a TH-camr that did a presentation of where she believes the 19 were buried. It’s a park now but on the old map the place she thinks they are buried , there are several landowners circled the area and they were all accusers. It’s was really interesting how she reach the conclusion of why she thinks they are buried there. Then she showed a picture of the Hawthorne guy and he has his hand down. Like he is pointing down the hill ( from Hawthorne Hill) saying “they were buried here”. She also mentioned one of James Hawthornes books hinted to the same place. So interesting!

All you had to do was go about a quarter mile from Max‘s house and you could’ve been in the old Salem village
My Ancestor, Martha Carrier was hung as a witch during the Salem Witch Trials. I don't mind the Witch Trials historical/memorial sites open to the public but attractions like this (which I admit is done very well) should not be located in Salem. The sight of an American Tragedy should not be turned into a tourist attraction.

I work at nightmare scare grounds at Canfield Ohio there are many haunts we do it every weekend starting the last weekend of September till the end of October. You are more than welcome to come out for all the scare monsters to scare you.

You were better off going when you did. October is absolutely the worst time to go. They close off so many of the streets. The parking is pretty much non-existent. They want everybody to take the train in which is fine if you live in the area. The lines for all the attractions are ridiculous like you're Disney or something.... You're better off coming in September.
