Your review on this is great but being an actual Hot Wheels and just a diecast car collector in general, I have answers to some of your questions about this. So first of all, the point of it being called "Loco Motorin'" is more the fact of what the model is just called in general, Hot Wheels has made some trains and train related pieces in there time (and they all do have couplings too which work with ERTL, Adventures or MINIS) so this wasn't made specifically for it to be Thomas, because that would kind of be a waste, although they did make Angry Birds castings a while back too, but I think the plan is that they designed it that way so they can re-use the model as just a standard looking hot rod train in the line, they just made it into Thomas as of convenience of it being the 75th anniversary. The Hot Wheels Metro part is meant to identify what group/range/collection this car goes into, the track star bit on the card also links with the loop symbol on the base, meaning it is most compatible with all, or most, Hot Wheels sets, it's also why it rolls so well. The Face, and all the decals in general, is just a hot wheels production thing. The decal machine can't get all of the sides decorated, it usually either does both sides or the front and back, I think it was pretty difficult for the machine to make this one, Jensen why it is so sloppy. I think that's all the things answered but if there is anything else, I'll explain for you.
MIB this very strange Thomas The Tank is possibly worth $100's of dollars in a few years. DON'T OPEN IT..OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I think all the faces have paint errors. If it had a black top cab area it would have a bit more Thomas MOJO. But overall it's a super strange Thomas. Very difficult to find on the pegs. I'm pretty sure the staff are nabbing them for themselves or collectors. This normal Hot Wheels price should be $2 NOT $8, This is a $1 car in the USA. It's just in the standard box's from Mattel.
