After watching the rescue operations at the inlet shown in this video, where people's lives are at risk every weekend, why do you think this continues to happen so frequently?
It always makes me smile when your caption states 'what's your opinion?' Usually when some form of gross negligence has just occurred... It's very reserved and diplomatic of you, particularly when some of the negligence that we see could be the difference between life or death..! I hope that some of these 'captains' watch your channel, and learn from their mistakes.
Used to be a lifeguard. Number 1 rule is to stay calm. They did that, knew backup was on its way, focused on protecting the swimmers from the boaters, and allowed the current to push them in. A+ rescue!
Little girl never should have been up there even if she had a lifejacket on. I feel like the no wake zone needs to start way earlier coming into the channel and enforced to the max. Great videos and drone shots!
The captain/parents should be arrested for child endangerment for allowing that little girl to stand out on the bow by herself without a life jacket on while going through the inlet... What are people thinking these days? Total idiots!
@@BoatZone The only people that those parents would listen to without an argument is Child Services. Everybody else would be told to mind their own business.

That little girl by the bow railing with no lifejacket. Wow. One freak wave and she could have under the railing and gone under and into the prop. Life jacket would make no differance. Great parenting.

Well… the title said “DRAMATIC RESCUE” so now that the video ended I’m wondering if that dramatic rescue supposed to be the swimmers that got assisted by the lifeguards (both parties looked pretty in control) or the children on that “banana” thing? Because that guy just hauled those children over as if they were those big 10kg potato bags 🤷🏻♂️
Little girl on the bow, little brain at the helm. This is definitely against the law, and will be a hefty fine if he’s boarded by any Maritime Law Enforcement. The number of vessels I see on your channel with this type of ignorance while operating a vessel is astounding. Great video both on land and in the air. Keep up the good work
That's just what it is. Ignorance. They just don't know how dangerous it is and I'm sure most people starting out in boating wouldn't assume it is until something bad happens or get ticketed.
Regardless of common sense, the law is anyone 6 or under on a vessel, 26' or less, must wear a pfd. There must be a pfd for each person on board any vessel, and a throwable pfd for vessels 16' and longer. The PWC' require pfd for piolet and any riders. Your talking about how much trouble they would be in or how much the fines are just shows you don't know the law.
@@duanesamuelson2256 No amount of laws or fines will bring that little girl back after she gets chewed up by the props and spit out the stern. Idiot parents probably on the bridge sucking back a couple of brews.
So many things wrong there, but speed in the inlet for starters, drop it to 10 or 15 mph max (that will save some lives). Kids not wearing PFD's (and properly fitted ones). It is not a place for paddle-boarders or kayaks or tubing, etc. as there seems to be NO speed limit in the inlet. Wouldn't feel safe in a barge there. What is the body count so far for haul-over for this year?
Completely agree with you. I'm all about having a great time but don't involve kids and put them at risk. And I'm really surprised that there are not a slew of accidents in the inlet considering the speed and the waves.
it's not just that pulling a tube through there is stupid and risky. The combined headcount on tube and PWC can't exceed what the PWC is rated for. That's a 3-person Sea-Doo and 6 people. They're paying tuition now for what any free boater education course would have taught them.
I guess a kayak would need to be involved😂😂!! Lifeguard's or rescue swimmers were there and did a fantastic job. I still am not crazy for the speeds entering or leaving the i let.
Rescues are volatile and ever changing... everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face. The rescue was imperfect but that's the nature of life saving operations, the team did a great job with what they had.
I wondered about that too but I looked closely as they were getting out on the rocks and all three boards say "RESCUE" on them in big letters on the bottom and smaller red letters on the top. So I guess the kayaks are elsewhere
12:30 Hell no, am I the only one that realizes NONE of those kids had on the appropriate PFD. What would Grandpa do if something happened to that towable and dumped all kids in the water? Certainly the most WTF moment I have seen lately. BTW the boat crossing through the frame also had a youth NOT wearing a PFD...................WTH is wrong with the adults in the room???????????????
If you let your kids ride or sit in a place on the boat where they can possibly go overboard, it’s safe to say that you have never rescued a family from drowning. Because that’s what happens when your child goes overboard and you go overboard to save the kid and then your wife goes overboard and eventually everyone drowns. Bloop bloop!
Which father knows best ?Bubble brained bow riding girl, or the jet ski jerk? Pulling his kids to their demise? I’m going w the jerk since the cop pulled them off the water- as always thanks for posting ! The rewind was a good touch
The child appears to be under 6 years of age, the parents should be charged with child endangerment. Also if the child was over 6 she shouldn't be on the bow under those conditions. SMH Law enforcement needs to crack down on these violations.
I believe there should be lifeguards based on the actual inlet rock wall, theres been way too many kayakers, jet ski riders and boat passangers get into difficulty at this inlet.
Love the videos, how do you pull the drone sounds from the video that's shot using a drone? Are you directionally mic'ing the boat and then linking the sound+video? Its done really well, nice to see drone footage without hearing it scream.
For the PWC towing the kids. Law is you can only tow for how ever many people the ski holds. If it has two seats, you can’t tow anything. If you have 3 seats you can only tow one person. You must have an observer, the operator, and a way to retrieve the person being towed. So you must keep a seat free for the person being towed. You can not have both seats full on a ski and still tow two or three people. Doesn’t work that way. So I hope they got citations for endangering the kids.
Just out of curiosity, is there a reason why so many people in Miami have Midnight Express boats? Genuinely just curious because there's always so many of them.
Pulling a tube with a jet ski through Haulover, a newborn sitting on mama’s lap (who wasn’t wearing a life jacket herself), and the three kids in the tube not having life jackets that looked to fit them…sometimes I just gotta wonder in amazement at the logic of some parents.
The little girl on the front of that boat (6:20) with no life jacket on is really sad that her sorry excuse for parents only worried about partying. They need to be arrested!
It's nice to see a successful rescue. Well done, all! Why does it take a potential disaster for people to stop being narcissists and just pitch in? I know it's the rescuers job but in the 60s and 70s, a few boaters would have fished those people out long before the rescue teams could arrive.

I’m commenting on the seadoo towing the ski tube. Where I’m from it’s the LAW that the tow vessel have a SPOTTER and a seat for the “water skier” to board the vessel if they become tired. That seadoo was full at 2 adults and a child, plus 3 children on the ski tube. It would be a fine to the captain for what they were doing. And yes, that inlet looks WAY too fuckin busy to be screwing around tubing. Go to a lake somewhere.
