- I mange to set up my weapon to do 19.000 damage in a single shot. This requires a lot of set up which I go over in the video. As well as how you can take full avantage of this set up to kill the biggest machines in Horizon Forbidden West quickly.

The stealth stalker valor surge has been nerfed on patch 1.09. So the damage numbers shown in this video is no longer possible with this setup. It is still a very good setup to use, but not quite as good as it once was.

Braced shot was such a great skill added. These devs are awesome
Freeze and brace shot is all you'll ever need with a few death seeker or carja bane inbetween. If you really wanna do some dmg add it to the first hunter tree valor surge I forget the name because it's the only one I ever used. Heals on every hit, and bonus dmg. In pretty much every way. You cant lose.
It's become my best friend.
One shot woman
Low Health Ranged is intended to work when on less than 50% health, rather than 25%, so it's actually pretty easy to achieve. But it does seem to be bugged and not add a damage boost no matter how little health you have.

This version of Aloy wont be needing the shield deactivator to kill a zenith

A damage buff that might stack is freezing. If you can apply frost status, then break the alert status, it might break 20k
advanced freeze trap for the win!

Its awesome but i went with power shots instead. I dont have to hide. Maxed out gives you 5 shots each adds 200% to ranged damage and it does not use up ammo.

25% damage sounds dire. I played through HZD FW and fell in love with the 51% damage modifications. But if 25% damage x 5 does this much damage, imagine if you had 5 of those 51% damage modifications from HZD in HFW 😨

Overdraw potions actually increase damage a lot. I did 4k damage yo a slaughter spine on normal without potion and with it I did 8k damage and one shot him

@@driv6534 Just go with your armor to the outfit dyer, that's all, oh and the armor can be obtained fighting in the arena, the you could buy it with medals
I prefer it as dark as u can get it n with the reaver face paint they go really good together... I also removed my headgear... Just my preference... The dragoon armor is also really badass as dark as u can get it with the reaver face paint... But if ur not big into overriding machines you won't do quite as much damage as other gears

Thanks for video. I'm using mostly the same strategy for damage. I have a question. Does "Stealth ranged+" bonus stacks if we equip coil with this bonus (+2) into Nora thunder armor???🤔 I took this coil from legendery Utaru armor and put in "Nora". Is this OK or it does not stack
If you go into skills you have your skills, plus extra from coils and armor etc. so just put whatever gets you to max on multiple skill nodes

With nerfing of Stealth Stalker I believe Ranged Master gives slightly better damage boost at 60 percent vs now only 50 percent for Stealth Stalker.
I think it looks cooler in pink too :D

I'd suggest using an extra Stealth 15% coil instead of the High Ground 25% coil for when you're not on high ground. I'd also recommend trying to equip the Low Health Ranged +2 Weave with the armor for another 85% damage boost when under 50% health. You can get a Mounted Archer +2 buff too with the right armor. I still haven't seen a true max damage build video pre-patch using all of these things combined.

range master is probably the way to go for even more damage and high damage follow up shots.
What if you freeze the machine and shot the arrow while you are on a mount? Freeze would make the machine take even more damage and you get a pretty good damage bonus while mounted with the skill on level 4

I'm using almost the same set up now I'm trying using 2 stealth 2 long range and 1 blue long range. Now I'm trying with foods to get maximum damage.

I don’t have forgefall yet, I used sunshot hunterbow with 3 instant coils; corroding, slow, and brittle, then shoot it with powershot using glowblast sharpshot which contains 2 stealth damage and 1 close range damage, took less time to kill than before

Just double or triple shot a freeze arrow on the first shot then really do some damage on the second hit. The behemoth does the big damage because it does extra damage on the tear off. Ps. Whenever you hit lvl 4 on any skill it will no longer add a bonus it even leaves a little note saying it wont add to the effect. Freeze it knock it down there are still options for bigger damage.
That doesn't even make sense. Then he wouldnt get the 250% damage from stealth.
@@dreambiscuits I don't remember the context of this at because I haven't played that since I got the plat around a 11 months ago but I assume I meant to freeze it and instead of getting one strong shot you'll be able to continue to do massive dame multiple times
I’m just wondering if you got the epic Utaru Warden armor from Zo ? or Boomer’s Shredder Gauntlet ? I haven’t started the main quest Faro’s tomb yet and I’m 84.19% complete . Trying to see if 100% is glitched for me also . Working on my Platnum
Just make sure you scan whatever machine you see in Faro's Tomb (no spoilers). Else it might be a long road to plat.

I’ve seen folks use smoke bombs to reduce detection. Also, is the Utaru Winterweave a step down? Why?

The utaru ( ultimate stealth as they describe) does not carry +2 stealth ranger go figure . I’m this Methode you need weapon stamina +2 and stamina regen +2

So basically this game has become a full magic game with those fantasy coils, i don't remember the first one to be so ridiculous!
Oh the first game 100% had potential to be gamebreaking if you knew what you were doing. Moreso with weapon combinations. Freezing an enemy + high damage Rattler was my go to for a while before I stopped since it just felt too easy even on the higher difficulties ♡

I am trying to upgrade my weapon and learning this particular shot you´re showing us here, but i am not entirely sure how you do the braced shot. The Game says to hold L2 and then press R1, but in your video, it looks like you´re actually drawing your bow as if you´re holding R2. Can you draw your bow like that or is this just the animation from the Braced Shot?
It's the animation of Braced Shot.
use the dpad left and right while holding L2 to select the different shot options after you have unlocked them, then R1 to shoot braced shot, only certain bows have braced shot, sharpshot I think
When using braced shot and aiming with L2, you can hold down R1 to charge your shot just the same as if you were pressing R2.
Took me longer than I care to admit to realize I had to *hold* R1 and not *tap* it like some of the other weapon techniques. To be fair though, the technique's instructions do only say "fire with R1", which isn't exactly direct.
tjaw heart or slaughterspines belly core maybe? i saw a guy scoring a 50k hit while mounted on a burrowers eye cuz i think theres mounted damage multipliers from the machine master tree i think not sure though.
Pink Nora color is definitely the best color.

@Bloofa i actually have nothing against the combat. actually making the player become more vulnerable is a nice touch.
i just feel like this story wasn't the best experience. the player should actually have more emotions when it comes to playing the game.
i aint gonna go in depth with what i'm gonna say, but i will say this; horizon forbidden west has tlou2-quality story telling.

Use the Utaru Winterweave Outfit instead. It’s better for these sorts of shenanigans. Low Profile +2 and Quiet Movement +2 makes it a lot easier to regain stealth so you can go for a second killing Stealth Shot.
Yeah for a more general use for sure. I was more using this armor to see how how much damage I could get in one shot.
I didn't know merchants sold curls in this game and that they made your equipment better! Edit: As for finding a machine to hit higher on, have you tried a watcher's eye? I've already hit massive numbers on behemoths by blowing up their bellies before even running into any horizon videos, but I remember early in the game using a blue sharpshot bow and getting 2.1k hits and I think it was on a watcher's eye. All I remember is it was at night, I was on a hill fighting a ton of strong monsters at once, I didn't have any insane coils (though the bow was maxed out at lvl 4) and I kept my high ground and picked them off at a distance with a lot of patience at the safety of the hill and the distance. I thought to myself wow, if I'm hitting over 2k with this crappy bow early on, I can't imagine what I'll be hitting when I'm maxed out. (I avoided watching anything at all Horizon related so it wouldn't spoil anything at all, but now I pretty much finished the game so I'm curious seeing other people's builds, I had already hit around 15k dmg in a single shot but thought I was likely missing something and lo and behold, this is significantly higher than my hit). I have never bought any coils though, I've just used the ones I've found in the wild. I'll definitely try those long range coils out! Should give me insaaane hits.

could you do a set up for the skykiller
The build would be something similar to this one...just adding in some mounted archer since the spike thrower's equivalent to braced shot (propelled spike) can be used while mounted. Just need to Valor surge before mounting up (defense routine override so your mount doesn't blindly charge into battle)

There might just be a hard cap on total damage bonus so you can't one shot the harder bosses
What about using the whole setup but with the skykiller (propelled spike) while being on a mount and having equipped the tenakth tactician armor (which increases dmg by 50%)

Why after completing the game I can't start a new one with all me previous equipment? I have e to start from cero
The arena quests are super tough,if you don't make the time runs you don't get the tokens
Run them on story mode, max out on the medals buy what you need then go back to your difficulty afterwards
Yeah I've seen people one-shot a Thunderjaw with boltblaster crit builds, but I prefer agility crit builds. It's more fun. You can do some severe damage with a hunter bow while sliding...provided you hit an actual module. It incentivizes being mobile, which is more rewarding to me. It's especially rewarding in human combat where sliding with a hunter bow and placing one right between the eyes takes them out in one shot, if they don't have a helmet on and two if they do.
I got stealth damage coil at Scalding Spear. Where is the other stealth damage coil?
