Tie Fighter, Dark Forces, Republic Commando, and KOTOR 1 and 2 are all great older Star Wars games that are worth replaying. The new Battlefront 2 had a pretty good story, but Jedi Fallen Order was surprisingly good.
I had already seen all of the OT on VHS when I was in my pre teens, but it was the Super Star Wars 16 bit video game that really made me a Star Wars fan at age 13.. At the time it was the best movie to video game adaptation I had ever seen. John Williams' music and Ben Burtt's sound effects were flawlessly reproduced, and for the first time in history a video game actually made you feel like you were in the world of the movie it was based on. Soon after I went to go buy the VHS trilogy box set.
That's awesome! We have a friend that has Super Star Wars. They are so hard to play. I think the first time I saw Star Wars was with the remastered OT trilogy VHS. I believe it was the Gold Box. -Kyle
The only people who hate the prequels are the wantabe fans and those who just follow the newest trend hype topic. The true fans of star wars like the prequels for what they are even with the misteps and mistakes that where in them.
I think a lot of people just jumped on the prequel hating bandwagon because it was the cool thing to do. I love the prequels. Sure parts of the PT could have been better (the same could be said for the OT though), but overall I enjoyed them. ROTS is my favorite SW movie with ESB as a close second.
I LOVED "Star Wars: Obi-Wan". It really expanded Ep. I for me as a kid. I was 7 years old when it came out on my new Xbox. SW video games played a huge role for me. Jedi Knight: Outcast and Academy are corner stones of my childhood.
Stephen Jones, it's amazing how underrated that game is. The trash talk on the game doesn't make sense. I still play it on my Xbox to this day :) and I'm a heavy gamer and I like Crysis, classic Battlefront(s), Halo, etc.
What Ministry of Cinema does not think that there will be any prequels video games coming out?! In my opinion, there will be and there has to be. Everyone loves the clone wars. It is more exciting to play in the clone wars era than in the empire's era. I excitningly think back on "Republic Commando"!!!! Such a great shooter. Disney better brings out A Republic Commando 2
We're not sure what the future holds. We'd love to see some games set in the prequel era. Maybe now that people are coming around we'll see one. I remember playing The Clone Wars video game on Xbox for hours. That was a fun one!
I've always enjoyed the Battlefront series and I've been playing The Force Unleashed off and on. But my favorite game, while not a video game, is probably The Epic Duels board game.
Ministry of Cinema, I don't suppose there is any chance Disney/ Lucasfilm would let Mike Klimo make a Ring Theory version of the book Star Wars Frames?
The only thing I can say is that the last Jedi was and will remain horrible. I loved all the episodes including 7,9 I would like to see how the kids will react or are reacting

There will absolutely be more games set in the prequel era. No doubt about it. I think only prequel haters would say otherwise.
