I remember my first playthrough of this game. I hadn't figured out how to purchase anything in the hangar, so I was doing every mission in an F-16 with XMA4 as the weapons load out. And boy was the entirety of this level a real bitch. It must've been one hell of a bloody victory for the Emerian Army and Navy, assuming the fleet survived. I think it did. But god was that whole level an endurance. Especially Pasternak. I have no idea how I got him.
Well Kono did announce "Pasternak was the most broken ace we have ever made" which means they kind of went a little too overkill with him. But he was even more broken on a DLC co-op mission people thinking he was hard on mission 13? Yeah wait till you fight him on a DLC Co-op mission he really becomes BROKEN AS ALL HELL! but to get him to appear you have to do a Flawless run on Ragno Fortress (DLC Co-op) where you and your friends have to succesfully destroy all targets within the time limit now you must be wondering what makes him even more broken? Well he uses every weapon in his disposal MSL,ADMM,ECM ,EML and the UAV-45 Malebolge's (NPW "Non Player Weapon"). He is a crack shot with EML by the way so bring some bandaids.
This guy is a monster to take down. I spent maybe 5 minutes on the easiest difficulty just going in circles, trying to get my speed up so I could do High G to turn fast enough to even try and get a lock. The only reason it took that long is because I got lucky with a rocket I fired that hit him as he flew right past me. That's the only thing that worked. It wasn't hard, just time consuming. And on easy, the hardest thing is not crashing and making sure you use a plane with high Defence so you don't get blown up in two shots on any level past level 6. Especially mission 15. If those last few guns can do 20% damage to a plane on EASY, I don't want to think about how much damage they will do to a CFA-44 ACES aircraft on the same difficulty. And yes, I was using the F-22 when I got hit for 20%. That, or the A-10.

After getting a S rank on Normal thru Ace of Liberation of Gracemeria for the medals/achievements, this music practically becomes ingrained in your head while you're having to keep track of how many drones you've destroyed while the missile alert is constantly beeping and you're trying to dodge the drones' MG because this is ACE6 and getting shot deals like 20% hull damage for each hit Oh yeah, and then there's that time I decided to see if Pasternak could run out of drones. On Expert. With a Rafale equipped with XMA6. He did run out, eventually... after a whole half hour of this boss fight...
Too bad when you unlock the CFA-44 Nosferatu yours does not turn like his (Because he has a upgraded varient) and never get the ability to launch those UAV-45 Malebolges!.
@@darkstar_sierra1588 Eh, the Aces and Razgriz variants can turn about as fast if not just as fast, one has G-lock and requires skill to use effectively and the other just has low ammo capacity (or you could use the Su-47 Gault variant xD just expect to have zero energy after pulling a High G turn). Although, this information can be useless if you got Ace Combat 6 from Pre-Ordering Ace Combat 7. Since they disabled the ability to purchase DLC Fighters and Missions.

I know it passed 1 year ago but... Yes, a lot of Super Aircrafts, Morgan, Falken, Wyvern, Nosferatu, Fenrir, Night Raven and Aurora was made to destroy Aces. What about XFA-22 Phoenix? Was made for Scarface during the Rebel war. Strike Wyvern and Ravens Huggin and Munnin? Simply, was to destroy Trigger, LSSRG and Osean fighters. Even irl aircrafts like SU-47 Berkut and YF-23 Black Widow has not so manufactured, but in stragereal can get like candies this days.

And since they were all shot down in the end by the aces in 'ordinary' planes, it's still arguable that the pilot is the true weapon, and not the weapon itself.
The planes themselves are superweapons. Superweapons only Aces can bring the full potential out of. No one else can survive or properly use them. An Ace can slaughter an army given a plane, ammunition, and fuel. Give him a super plane like a Wyvern? He'll bring the world to their knees unless stopped by another Ace.

I actually engaged the CFA-44 Nosferatu in combat yesterday. Man! that plane is tough to beat! It's the jet version of HX-1 from Airwolf.
