Thank you Russell, it was great to work on this project. I'm looking forward to watching everything come to life in spring and over the next few years.
Terrific positive work from all concerned. Great to see the improvements that can be made when the right people are allowed to get on with doing what they're good at. Great film expertly produced - unsurprisingly! 👍👍👍
Thanks mate, this was such an amazing project to work on. I'm looking forward to watching everything come to life in spring. You're welcome to come and check it out, if you hop on the train to Stratford with a bike I can meet you and give you a tour of the area, it's a nice cycle through the Olympic park and even up to Walthamstow Wetlands.
As a former Hackney Park Ranger it is great to see them creating this wonderful habitat would like to see more of the marsh converted and also have local experts such as Russell Miller involved. At 0:48 you see a Grass Snake swimming across they are common in the area.
Truly amazing great work. Need to get you all over the country for councils schools and large and small public spaces. So great to see such amazing work for this and next and every generation after
Thank you very much. I need to make a new video showing what we've done since and the results we've had. This was a great project to work on and we have others planned.
Thank you very much. We'll be continuing work on this project in 2024, hopefully volunteer sessions we be announced in the next couple of days, I'll let you know once dates are online. We are in the process on setting up a website that will have more info about this and the other projects we are working on. I'll also post a couple of updates on this channel later in the year.
What a fantastic project, this is really cool and goes to show that you can have a “mess” in a tidy way, those habitat piles in the fence is really cool and makes it look purposeful which is a really big thing when trying to convince the general public. Is there an update on this? Would love to see it next summer I bet it will be wonderful! Have you had any problems with hooligans trying to cause damage?
Thank you very much. We have had some vandalism to a couple of the habitat piles and some logs have been stolen for fire wood. Yes an update is long overdue, I'm in the process of making a film about our small mammal recovery project in the same area and hopefully I'll make a more general update film in the new year.
Thanks Ian. It's a brilliant film that will help people to understand what we've all been doing for wildlife on North Marsh and the river.
