Yeah its another fox video, but it was a quick and easy edit and I'm super busy working on habitat projects 7 days a week at the moment.

The wood pigeon turns back to the food and it’s like “What the……”?!
wow its fast
Awesome! The kind of sighting to make anyone's week, let alone day! 👍👍👍
Great spot ian, i do see them in the nature reserve quute a bit, beautiful critters 🎉
Personally I don't think there has been increased footfall or dogs in the park. I suspect these rats lived at the disused hospital, and when this was knocked down and new houses built there they had no choice but to move to the park. This happened in conjunction with the park building a perfect habitat for the rats to live in i.e. that woodland walk made of the logs wasn't there when there were no rats, those 3 things happened at the same time, along with the wiping out of the frogs.
It's a male looking for a female. You can tell from the swollen feelers.

I haven't seen a pheasant in Hackney in years. This is testimony that we could improve our biodiversity to help wildlife of all species. Thank you for sharing.
I like them but.. I'd rather not see Pheasants in the area, we are doing so well in Hackney in terms of species recovery, Pheasants are a fantastic looking but problematic bird, they will take a toll on inverts, reptiles, amphibians and even small mammals, they have been introduced to UK for food and to shoot. Their native range is Asia, the Middle East and parts of Eastern Europe. Apparently there's been a few on our patch recently, one was spotted in Millfields North a few days ago, possibly the same bird.
Sweet babies.❤
Awww ❤
Awsome, magical find 🎉
great piece of video Ian.
So from the "Ow ow ow!" are we to conclude that this one DID bite you?
No 'Out out out', I've cut about three minutes of spider chasing, It was driving me mad by the time I finally got it to the window!
@@IanPhillipsWildlife 😆😆😆 Must get my ears tested 😆
Love the wee vole! ♥
Thank you and yes so do I.. I've been working hard to restore the local population in Hackney thats been absent for 20 years, I can't talk about results at the moment, but lets just say there's a short film in the works..
David vs Goliath
I have actually seem bigger than this 🎉
Yes me too, but 'Giant House Spider' is the common name even if this one wasn't that big.
worth a dish
Of course there is...why wouldn't there be?
In the parks and areas where I manage and build wildlife habitat we try to keep them as rat free as possible, due to the impact rats have on other species. The park where this was filmed was almost rat free for years, but more footfall, dogs and rubbish have caused the foxes to leave the park meaning there are no predators to control the rats. Within a year of the foxes leaving, rat numbers boomed and they have wiped out very healthy frog and toad populations and reduced numbers of other species.
That was a wonderful shot! Catching a lizard on camera is not easy by any means. Great video!
Who's that old fella in some of the shots?
@@brianphillips4973 No idea, he’s been following me around for years??
Seems like a tranquil, lovely place for everyone to enjoy. Perhaps all the mischief (and worse) will not be happening any more ..? Let’s hope.
That speed alone would freak me out
Wow! Excellent video! I used to see a lot of Black Clock beetles outside, but I don't see them as much anymore.
Excellent x Thankyou X Pigeons are beautiful natured birds
Thank you!
He/she even nodded politely after getting a snack! Thank you so much for giving them food, they really do better in terms of health (and also make less mess with garbage bags) when someone feeds them ❤️

@@Goatisme Thanks, I can’t hurt these guys, at the site where I’m working at the moment I move about 30 of them a day out of harm’s way.
@@IanPhillipsWildlife Aww yiss, you are kind and I'm sure they are thankful in their own way, they are some of my favorite arthropods so I'm thankful for your kind gestures to them myself ! Thank you.

0:19 did the coot kick the swan?
It did, they often fight other coots which can involve a fair bit of kicking.
@@IanPhillipsWildlife why is the American Coot fighting the Mute Swan?
So cute

So like, a coworkers mom caught one of these guys, I took it off their hands and made it my pet, and he was very smart. He had babies with one of my fancy mice, and two of his sons are now among my favorites as their enclosures don’t need to be closed. They just chill and roam my room and kind of watch me if I’m doing stuff, and sit on my feet or just stay close like mini puppy dogs. If I make a squeak sound or tell them night night, wherever they are in my room they drop what they were doing and run to their enclosure and immediately turn around to face me like as if to say G-Night.
Great job with this one!!!!! Good to see this stuff !
Thanks Todd, I've been so lucky with Sand Lizards this year, great after failing to find any in 2023!

Years ago when we used to help my wife's late father on his allotment a fox snuck up and stole my gardening gloves and taunted us to chase him (or her). 😆🤓
@@NaturallyCuriousUK Gardening gloves are an irresistible to foxes, this one has been so close to stealing mine a couple of times.
👍 Nice of it to stay put while you focused! 🤓
I can't believe it hung around so long, It almost felt like it wait for me to get the shot before leaving.
