Truth hurts is a master piece. Ritchie plays very melodic things, each night different. This is his best Deep Purple tour between 84 and 93. Far better than the two previous tours when he played too fast, too much nervous, sometimes out of tune, without inspiration.
My first live experience with Deep Purple, here in Brazil, was this tour on 08/17/1991 at Ibirapuera's gym. Very good to see the legends of hard rock live.
Joe sounds very good and it's good to see Roger playing Glenn's parts on Burn.
I wish Gillan had agreed to sing it on the Perfect Strangers tour, but then I would have loved to hear Ritchie play a Tommy Bolin song too.
Purple was never about one lineup, they should have celebrated the entire history.
I saw this in Hungary when I was 12 years old... still one of my favourite Purple album

JLT is a good singer and was fine on the album. He's not suited to this type of music in a live setting.

There is no sense to compare his voice to Ronnie James Dio! Joe Lynn Turner has the rock and roll moves and Charisma! Joe has sung for Yngwie Malsteem and he does a good job on Live in Leningrad.
