Can I just say, your ‘Half swing Full result’ video saved my swing. I mean, I know lots of people say this under every single tip video on TH-cam but that video of yours really did transform my ball striking. And it’s so simple and easy to follow - seriously, every golfer who isn’t a single figure handicap should watch it immediately. Cheers!

Been meaning to give you props for a while now JT. Best golf content on YT for the average, everyday golfer, by a longshot. After watching one of your videos for the first time, "How to lower your handicap in golf"...I played that night. Took driver out of the bag, irons only, loose, relaxed, easy tempo swing and shot 6 strokes lower than my previous 9 hole round. Been striking the ball better than I ever have in my life... Bunch of guys I play with have been commenting on how nice and smooth my swing looks now...and asking what I'm doing differently! If that's not confirmation your approach works, I don't know what is... Thanks a ton JT, you've saved my game!

thanks Jimmy. Straight is great. I've been playing so much better since my focus became straight and consistent shots, plus a decent short game. Golf does not have to be a game about "power" and length unless you're trying to get a handicap under 6. It's also a lot more fun rarely losing golf balls.

Watching your channel has change my golf thinking and ball contact for the better. Went from hitting uncontrollable draws to longer and straighter shots, with all clubs, and great contact. "Only thing you can tell a draw to do is sit down!" Feels like a shorter swing but goes further--and it's on the grass. I have to retired golf balls. Also enjoyed watching your daughter and future LPGA star stripe the ball in a previous post. Good stuff! Oh yeah, I bought the wedge! ;>)
Jimmy… you are a legend! I’ve consumed your videos for a cpl weeks now. Went from a 106 to a best 93… looking forward to seeing the 80’s! The half swing was shocking. Not only straighter, but way further as well… Anyways. See ya in the hot tub! I’ll bring the Millers! You da man!

I wish I could find a course where I could take my time, play on my own and practice without multiple very slow groups ahead and behind me. There are 5 courses close to me. I could walk to two of them, the other 3 are about 2 miles away. All 5 are always booked solid. Takes around 6 hours to play a round of golf. I can play 18 holes in 2 hours easily if the courses weren't so backed up with very slow golfers... I live in the San Diego, CA area by the way. I do love your way of playing golf. Why make a very difficult game more difficult. Great content, thanks for sharing.

Imagine what he could do with a six-iron. This makes alot of sense.
I'm slowly getting better at keeping my balls *in play* (not quite on the fairway but sometimes on the fairway). My recent issue is from 130 to 50 yards, I have no shot for those distances. So I need to try to be longer than 130 or shorter than 50. Anytime I have a wedge in my hand and I'm taking a full or 3/4 swing I tend to always dig into the dirt. I send the grass farther than I send the ball. Or the ball pops up straight in the air and then comes down 20 feet in front of me.

@@TropicanaEntertainment well, I'll be. If that wasn't the best I've ever struck these wedges. Went long a couple times but I didn't chunk the ground and have to watch the ball dribble two feet infront of me.

I was in a comp today and tried your methods...I used my 5 iron off the tee mainly, i did attempt a few drives and despite swinging the kid on the swing...i was still somehow hitting down on my driver and over the top, even with the half back swing. Ridiculous how these engrained things are hard to kill off.
I also shanked a couple which I never do as I was implementing a weaker grip - i normally have a stronger grip. What are your thoughts on The Grip - I don't seem to hear you talk about this much.
I am stiff with some arthritis and i was trying to hold my impact and keep looking down, struggling a bit to move onto my left side...actually very frustrating even trying to get into simple positions - that fitter more flexible folks can achieve no problem.
I also gripped down a bit and used my 3 iron a few times, which i never hit. Had some nice contact.
My ball contact was good with my low irons and i took some nice divots with a good divot direction. I guess its all about the practice...first time using your method, need to revisit my driver setup definitely.

Faster way to lower your score, pick-up after the 15th hole!
Quiting after 14 holes is the only way ive found to lower my score.
Everyone wants to master this game and never play or practice it's the hardest game on the planet you have to be good with all aspects of the game

Jimmy What I took from this Video Is to Know your Limits by Not being drawn into the Mindset that you are better than you actually Are and you have just proved to all and sundry That You will reduce your Handicap by Keeping the Ball In PLAY.. and do you Know what ...I am going to remove my Driver 3+5 woods from my Bag and See What happens hopefully I can follow your Lead and Make a few more Parrs and Not double Bogeys...Great Stuff Jimmy thanks again for taking the Time and effort making these Videos to help Us be better Golfers. Hi, a while ago I would have agreed with you. The nature of my work necessitated a lot of travel (mostly air). I will happily settle for "boring" flights and "boring" golf. My "excitement" now comes checking the ladies in golf attire and bikinis, and taking my playing partners money (usually, not always) LOL Take care my friend, and enjoy your golf no matter what, You are out there for your pleasure, no one else.
