My harness has 2 bridges. I reckon if I needed to do something like this, I'd just pack an extra prusik cord. Just attach a hitch cord to whichever side of the knot your traversing to.
This is actually the default way every IRATA trained rope access technician gets taught in their level 1. Probably with the same gear as well. At least, I was taught with the exact same gear, except a hand ascender instead of the Basic. It's not that complicated because it uses multiple techniques you need to master anyways, it is just combining them. On my assessment we had to do this from the ground up, ascending in a descender, then put a knot in below us, then descend back down, change into ascender, descend a little bit on the ascender and pass the knots. Then when back on the ground, go back up again any way you'd like, pass the knot, change over to descend, remove the knot and come back down. In this little exercise we finished the following points from the syllabus; - Descending with a descender - Ascending with a descender - Descending with ascender - Ascending with ascender - Passing midrope knots - Knots and rope handling (partially) - Changeover - Back-up devices This was literally one of the first assignments of the day😅
Petzl this is a great video, but I am so tired of seeing predominantly white men doing these demos. I'm a brown femme and can do the same thing he does and have done it countless times. Please get with the rest of the world and show more racial, gender, body shape and ability diversity in your videos.

If you dan do the same please tell me the name of the rope joining knot or where i can find instructions for it. I am really curious about it and cant find it anywhere. It seems to be some kind of figure eight.
LMAO I was wondering about it but now it's all makes sense now. .. thank you
This is a lot of important information. Greetings to you
Do not descent the ID close to the not. Better keep some distance and do the change over...
Hope I never need to do that😁

Is that a rethreaded tripple figure of 8 :)
WE NEED VIZIR PROTECTORS PLEASE
Can you make video instruction for this rope joining knot, link a source a name it so we can find it? Thanks!
A Flemish Bend with a bight
As for instruction, tie a figure eight on a bight with one rope (yellow in the video) and then rethread the second rope (blue in the video)
Its a rethreaded tripple figure of 8. When tieing, the 2 loose ends should always come out on the same side.
Easy like drinking a cup with water 🤝
Trecerea peste nod de îmbinare a 2 corzi👍
How to tie 2 rope
Blue rope just an follow through of the follow through double figure 8 (yellow rope)
@@3lip887 It's not a double figure 8, it's a figure 8 on a bight. "Double figure 8" would give you the "bunny ears" not.
С подключением
Seems overly complicated. I would rather run with two Taz Lov3's and use them for ascent and descent without having to switch out gear.
