She's improving and you can see that she's trying to implement her new serve. We love Coco.

good to know that things are happening to improve her game behind the scenes. didnt Andy also have a full-western forehand?

Crazy that Coco got that far without working her toss, but better late than never. Love the podcast

Go help Alicia Parks with the rest of her game. Her serve is fine but the rest of her game needs tremendous help. Not patient enough, could open up the court more, and get her to come in off of her powerful shots.

Alicia would much benefit from Andy Roddick perhaps 🤔 she's also brilliant 👏 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 🌎

Parks should've gone to college. She went pro for the money & ended up on the struggle bus with her ranking in the toilet. College tennis would've helped refine aspects of her return game instead of flopping her way though the tour.

@@got2bjoshEveryone goes pro for the money. Name a top player that went to college.

@@GeneralRock114 There are plenty of top players who continued their education despite having pro goals. Serena, Venus, Navarro, Shelton, Sigemund, etc.
My points stands. Parks turned pro at an early age & yet massive flaws in her return game meant that she has failed to maximize her game and remain truly competitive on tour. That massive serve has been utterly wasted on a less well-rounded player. Even a couple years in college would’ve helped her. Don’t turn pro unless your game can stand up to the rigors of the tour. Parks has spent more time in qualifiers & Challengers than the main draw of the biggest tournaments, never mind going deep.

cool to hear about coco! what a humble warrior
But side note, most coaches teach to release with palm in order to AVOID ball spin and lack of control with the ball spinning during the toss. why the need to spin the ball/fingertips for coco?

3:02 if you want palm release, it needs to be open as much as possible, any way you do it, the ball needs to rest in the hand/palm/fingertips and not to be hold with finger pressure.
He refers to more spin after hitting the ball not the toss, he wanted more serve speed and spin.

Everyone knows the problems with Gauff's serve & forehand & yet it persists. Never should've allowed for improper technique in the first place. If you know what causes the double faults, don't do it. If the Western grip has become a liability, switch to a less extreme one, etc. Sinner changed his serve & added some more muscle to help keep him competitive, but he's still a bit delicate when it come to pain. The top ladies will not let Gauff go beyond the QF/SF at the biggest events with that serve & forehand. Someone call Serena, stat.
