Good evening pls i have been using the following products
1. Cerave acne control cleanser
2. The ordinary toner (Glycolic acid 7% toning solution).
3. The ordinary Ascorbic acid 8%, Alpha arbutin 2%( guess that is vit c)
4. Sunscreen SPF 50
I have not seen any meaningful change and i am beginning to feel discouraged as though there are acne that are really difficult to clear.
I have used this products dor about a year now.

Try Korean skincare you won't regret it
Try using non-comogenic products instead of Cerave acne control use Cerave salicylic Cleanser

@SoniaEnaigbe You can start off with the brand Cosrx (cleanser/toner/moisturiser). Isstree, Misha, Mizon, SkinFood 1004, Cos De BAHA, Numbuz:n. Those are the brands I would recommend.

Hi, quick questions im using and serum formulated with a combination of alpha arbutin and kojic acid.. i can aready see it working but the thing is the spots thoug fading now seem to be in sharp contrast to the rest of my face. Can you or someone with good knowledge of this help me. I have extremely uneven and dark skin but my body like my legs and chest area are like a tan brown. I started by using it 2 times a week but now I use it once a week (recommended)
Kojic acid is magical! I've tried it personally and it is amazing, however, I noticed when I stopped using it for a month my hyperpigmentation returned and it resulted in my skin being dull and darker. Is this a sign that I need to stop using it overall? I love your accent omg! Definitely will be purchasing some of the goodies you named.
It depends on the lotion or the cream you use on your body that's why it returns
I was having hyperpigmentation and I bought some everything went normal but once I get back to my lotion it's started so I change by using product with less fragrance and it's working well on my skin no hyperpigmentation

Try to use a moisturiser that contains natural brightening ingredients like vitamin C, niacinamide, alpha arbutin etc then the fullness should not return ❤️

Kojic acid is a Kojic acid prevents the production of tyrosinase which is the enzyme that helps your skin make Melanin... Unfortunately when you stop using it, the enzyme will start producing melanin again. The change is not immediate, but in 3 months after stopping to use it, the skin will revert to its original shade...so it doesn't matter what brand you use, Kojic acid works the same regardless of brand or product type
