@@kasid4759 In Dead Cells, you can unlock the Custom Mode after you collect the Custom Rune. It's basically devs-sanctioned rigging, where you can literally lock out stuffs that you don't want so that they won't appear in the game, leaving only items and weapons you want. Catch is, you have to unlock the items first, then you can literally rig your runs all you want.
Just celebrated the new year by paying for a Masterpiece Clone Stamp with Dark Quartz, and got the Prince’s Box with Masterpiece on it as well. Was an insane run.
happy 2023, so i love how the beta is looking so far and the orc omen combo works...more or less, still that was a really fun run dark mirror mode really opens the way for a lot of experimentation
Up to DM 7 right now and I cant wait to see Beelz when he gets up to that level. The amount of new stuff and how ungodly difficult it gets (almost died in room 1) is going to be SOOOOO entertaining. Runs become full blown strategy sessions with the amount manipulation you can do. This update has completely blown my mind.

I haven't been able to get past level 4 cause there is a bug that happens on only that level that drops my attack speed to a snails pace and makes my abilities deal 0 damage

i have played the beta for the first time today because your videos motivated me again to play the game and i tried out living armor for the first time i had a insane rune and beat the hero (Dad) on my first ever hard mode attempt thank you beelz for giving me the motivation to play the game again i had a blast
Oh man Beelz, I just found an awesome game on Steam. It's called "Party Animals" and it has Doggos in it. It has Cats. It has Rabbits. It has Gators. They are fuzzy and cute and are super friggin adorably designed and you can pick any of them, and it looks like the game style is similar to Gang Beasts. It looks like it would be an amazing stream game with some friends. You will LOVE the lil Doggos you can pick from. Think corgi standing up with a crossbow with Huskies and Retrievers, Otters with tennis rackets and Gator with flight goggles flying the plane you are all standing on. It's too friggin cute. It's not out yet, but add it to your wishlist to keep an eye on.

The funny thing about that special item shop slot is that you can get duplicate skulls from the skull boxes. I had a unique Bomber on me and I got a rare Bomber from the box (was already too deep in the run to commit to it). I don't know if it's a bug or intended behaviour

what if father isnt actually skul's father but skul themselves they didn't die in this world and were experimented on and modified explaining why they don't seem sane. It only makes sense since well father in this world also saw dark quartz as a evil power and skul is young and naive
I think in hard mode you might be better off taking item rooms since you get to choose between 3 items instead of taking gold rooms because even if you get a little less gold the item hunting is very valuable.

The new shop options add a new layer of building strategy: perma-stats, random / inscription items, shields or max hp. I like to say, the economy is in shambles (in a good way). And yes, my point on Omen still stands, but the chat is still cruel...
The bone shield power seems like an inherently sub-par defensive option, compared to either HP or Shields, since it absorbs damage at a slightly better rate, but is MUCH harder to recover and doesn't seem to benefit from any of the mid-fight recovery options.
It's better in the sense that you're stockpiling them for the harder encounters. It's not really intended to be a preventative in normal rooms but rather the dad fight and other bosses you have a hard time with. Otherwise you just lose all the bones too quickly. But I don't think many defensive options outside of complete nullification (warriors pauldrons) will compensate from over stacking dmg taken effects.
The rigging is real!!! Jk, i watched this part of the stream but i think i fell asleep for a few minutes during it? Anyway, i feel Omen items are too risky to use for now, first test the waters, get skilled enough to understand the moveset and then go for omen, tho with high HP some might be worth to take But the hero! God damn, he is just soo much harder the more HP he gets... But Pike Kabooms with Sin should be able to bonk the hero fairly easy regardless

i was watching this and playing skull and managed to beat it finally. had a recklass ghoul run and i just kept gaining shield and eating. constantly

with 2 levels of omen and orc wouldnt that mean technically be an 8x damage multiplier!?
