I have the Rustler 4X4 VXL and it is freaking awesome. You can flip it over a few dozen times before breaking it. It's super powerful and very reliable.

Not sure if all of it was filmed at the same spot, but the dried lake bed where it shows the top speed and rolls....that looks like a spot outside of Las Vegas and Boulder, along HWY 95 in the background just a few miles from 11. The cars would be heading towards Searchlight, NV. Looks just like it anyways, there's solar panels over there and people race over there, have even seen street cars race there (and a whole other subject with no hood and no air filter on their after market intakes, such dummies doing that lol)

@@issac3100 I own this rustler and an arrma senton 4x4 Blx. Both are great and out the box the senton is faster. But after getting this rustler my senton is getting dusty.

Got my last week. Great truck so far. The only problem I have so far is the mount where the spring sets keeps popping off and getting lost. How do you keep them from popping off?
I bought one and i abselutely love it. I put the 17 tooth pinion in on winter and blew my 2 rear tires... Love it tho!! Looking forward for more videos on tips and tricks!!!

Dude the Rustler 4x4 handles like its on rails! Its a completely different driving experience compared to the 2WD version. The suspension just soaks up everything! I changed the shock oil in mine to 40 weight and it dampened out the Rustler suspension to the point it's just floats over everything and also helped it out on jumps a little.
@@TargetingXmod_RC Comes with 30 weight. Seems like a standard weight most RTR's come with. It's a good general purpose weight. But I personally prefer to use 35 to 40 weight.

Good job traxxas. But the regular version was already 400. If you got a upgraded version its guna be more money. When your spending that much you might as well get the e revo for that price
Same could be said for the E revo, except you could potentially spend WAY more tricking one out. Plus the E revo is probably their weakest model. I love the Rustler 4x4 VXL, but I'd buy an Arrma Krayton or Notorious over the E revo any day.

The Kraton from arrma has a metal chassis, and hits 50+mph out the box and haven't broken it in 20+ runs. If you want a small durable rc get the rustler 4x4 vxl, if you want a big durable rc get the kraton. Kraton >revo and its not even close

EL Valenin I want to try others but Traxxas has the best parts support and they don’t discontinue there models like majority of the other companies do. I have the discontinued Traxxas E Revo 1/8th scale 1.0 Mamba monster 2200 KV and it’s badass. It obviously uses body clips like majority of their older vehicles but I’m used to the clip design opposed to this new clip less style. I’m highly considering getting the Rustler 4x4 vxl or buy it brushed and upgrade it to brushless with a system other then Velinion. I will see

I wonder how many times they had to stop and cool the motor on that gearing with no heatsink. The stock gearing doesn’t even last long without a heatsink

Why did they put e revo shocks on a rustler 4x4. The only difference is they changed the springs and put thinner oil in them.

Just got a Rustler 4x4 Does it not reverse? Or do I need to upgrade a part ?
If reverse isn't working, make sure your ESC is not in race mode (which locks out reverse) and try recalibrating.
