Nearly every good build includes triangle foundation which I can’t get so seeing a mobile friendly build like that was really inspirational and helped me design my hidden lake base. When using Structures Plus, you can press 'G' when placing pillars to snap into corners, that would allow for better placement when building the raised deck area
I have no artistic sense when it comes to architecture and always end up building only the most efficiently and it bugs the hell outa me. I'm glad I have your vids to go off of to build things that actually look good lol
Completely off topic here but, why does my phone always default to 480p? When i switch it to 1080 in YT, i still don't buffer. Is it a setting in YT that adjusts the default quality of any video? Love the build by the way! Ones like this make me wish i had s+ because things like the sloped wood walls right and left cannot be flipped upside down in vanilla, so right there that roof design can only be done with s+ or other mods. I always put window frames or glass walls on 2nd floor and above, but never the 1st. I can see why you might want to do it this way instead and i think im gonna apply it to my next base.:)
If you aren't using s+ you can put a pillar through your ceiling, there will be 2 snap points, go for the lowest point. Destroy the original pillar going through the ceiling and voilà

They have 2 different structures Ramps and Stairs. But the stairs you have option of making it a ramp in the option wheel. Regular Ramps (the ones you can't change) : Seem to not line up flush with what you are snapping them too they tend to look like they are slightly above the foundation Stairs (when you turn them into ramps): Are perfectly flush to the foundation. Although it is minor there is a slight gap when placing them side by side between each other where old ramps will look like one piece. I still prefer the stairs/ramp vs the original ramps and am not sure why vanilla ark even has regular ramps in it's engrams.
Battling bosses is a challenge worth taking, whereas trying to use vanilla building mechanics is just annoying... Adding quality of life mods, especially s+ doesn't break the game, it just fixes what the devs should have fixed years ago...

One way is place boxes then put a ceiling peice over the top then place the boxes on the ceilings, demolish the ceiling and it'll fall on top.
