This is the best review of the bluetti I have seen
Thanks glad you liked it
BEST REVIEW OF THIS UNIT : For the average family and running stuff like a full size fridge…..no other review gives this many run time tests. Great job!
Thanks so much Dave
Enjoyed the review. Tested my kitchen fridge (2018 model) for 8 hours and it took the battery to 71%. Would suggest 27.5 hr run-time for me, still good. 🙂
Thank you for a great review of this AC200 Max. I bought this solar generator about a month ago, and I bought two 350 watt solar panels which I use to charge it almost every day and run our full size refrigerator. It is an excellent generator!
Definitely a nice unit
I bought an AC200Max with the second charger after watching this detailed breakdown. It fits my needs, wants, and expectations perfectly. Thank you!
Nice machine you won't regret it.
That was an excellent review! I especially appreciate the “know before you buy” section. Great content sir! Thank you.
Thank you so much Happy New Year
Commenting for the algorithm. This is the best review of the unit, out of the many search results I've come across. More folks should see this.
Thank you very much
Good, detailed review. I have the AC200 MAX and a 220 watt Off Grid TREK Solar Blanket to charge the AC200 MAX when I'm car camping. I use the BLUETTI to run my small cooler and charge my electric mountain bike's two batteries. GREAT SYSTEM and teh AC200 Max works as advertised.
Thanks
Has to be one of the most thorough reviews I have watched! Well done! I appreciate all the detail you go into on this unit. I am new to these power stations and this was extremely helpful. I am currently looking at this unit and the Oupes Mega 2.
👍🏼 thanks Chris, Bluetti has been around a very long time and offers more choice of power stations. Thanks for your kind words and let me know if you have any questions.
wow, so far the best explaination of how solar consume energie from the conponent, merci from Québec, Canada
Thank you
Very good review not too technical just the basics and right amount of data for a casual end user.
One thing I wish more reviewers would touch on is #1 the warranty and how the manufacture wants the customer to initiate one. #2 the customer service, response time.
In the US we place these items as part of the product and not some kind of gratuitous perk being given to us by the vendor.
I can't tell you how many times I have read about Bluetti customer service as not responsive to a simple email question. Also, when you go to the BBB and read about the complaints its really kinda concerning. And to be honest I really like the spec's and general overall look, dimensions of the AC200max but seriously am cautious when I read the customer support comments. Again, thanks for your review very good for a laymen looking to purchase.
Thank you good feedback as well
In rural Australia I emailed customer service. They responded in 24 hrs and asked me to video the fault. 24 hours after that they responded with instructions for returning it for repair. It was picked up the next day and returned 10 days later. That was over Easter when we had 2 public holidays and 4 weekend days. I don’t live in a metropolitan city. I like the service I got.
As an aside, the AC and DC on/off function stopped working via the touch screen. Still worked via the app. Works ok now.
I like how easy going and calm you are , great speech easy to understand
Thank you Bart
Extremely well presented, Extremely helpful
Well Done Sir - your logical, simple evaluation method should be the Standard by which all products are reviewed.
Thank you so very much
I’ve just bought one to replace an Ecoflow delta max to power my camper, couple of reasons, upgrade to lifepo4 batteries , although I could have stuck with Ecoflow for that, but the big reason to move to this is the DC 30a aviation plug, much more secure than a 12v 10a cigarette lighter socket and I need more than 10a as I have 2 fridges, diesel heater, lights etc, 10a just isn’t quite enough.
Solar generators fascinate me but until they can power 3 refrigerators, a freezer, television, home led lights and my gas furnace (don't want pipes freezing) I'm stuck using my generator. That said, someday when we downsize, and solar generators keep being improved, I'm sure they'll be an option. Al, as usual, great review..👍
Thank you
That’s doable. But for how long? How quickly should the “tank” (battery) take to refill? One thing for sure, you can’t make gasoline, but you can put the sun in a battery.
I do like that they make the add-on batteries also for that longer run time
You can do it. Just need add on batteries an or multiple. But they make bigger units one guy had a shelf with 6 running his whole home like 600# in batteries.
You're just asking too much from a "portable" power supply.
The best review i have seen on TH-cam
Thank you, wow much appreciated
Great Review
Real Life Review
Big Win
Thanks Team
Great review, as always. Thanks so much
I think that with the 5hr long AC charging, external brick chargers and lack of UPS should have cost them more points, and take them to a 6.5 or 6, especially as other more affordable (with even higher wattage) power stations have fast charging and UPS features this one lacks.
Well done!
Thank you I appreciate it
What alternative would you recommend?
This a great video of the product in actual use.
Thank you
I don't want to sound like an EcoFlow fan boy but the 1 hour recharge was the feature that won me over. Second was no power block. Before I purchased the EcoFlow, I was really considering the Bluetti. Before the Bluetti, I was looking at Jackery. Thanks for the review! Happy new year too!🥂🍾🎉
Thanks
Power stations are for when you dont have ac power....how you gonna charge that ecoflow bro?
@@Texasprepper Solar panels.
@@ttwatt3027 the bluetti is faster with solar.....Ecoflow is faster with ac
You don’t want to use the fast charge option very much anyways since it will wear out the battery faster. I always charge at the lowest setting. Never once used the fast charge option.
Really good video! Thank you!
Thank you
Hi, thanks for the review. I have got mine 2 days before Christmas after having to wait for a month. The two extra batteries took another two months to wait, they just came a week ago. Two more huge boxes! Both batteries were charged 60% each, like 3 LED dots out of 5, and I am still decharging them as I plugged in the Wifi router through the 12 V cigarette lighter outlet and an LED light. It will take some time, then I will charge everything (AC200max plus 2 B230) to 100% and then, wedding day, plug them in! Let's see how that works.
What I found out: the percentage of the AC200max does erratic jumps. Stays at some 95% for pretty long, when switched off and on the next day, it jumps to 15%. I have heard that LiFePo4 cells do not "tell" how much they are charged, they can't be measured like other battery types, so the unit needs to calculate and add al extracted power to just determine the rest of charge mathematically. Some people said it needs to "learn", or being calibrated by fully discharge and charge again. This is what I did but the erratic percentage jumps are still there. Well, I haven't tried often enough, maybe, I keep on going, but is you could find out something, I would be delighted to hear. In the meantime, thanks for testing, greetz to Brooklyn, from Germany :-)
my advice, don't let it go to 0%, min should be 10% no more, same with 100%, try and go to 90% to extend battery life. I didn't have an opportunity to get a battery but its a real nice power station from my short experience with it. Have you reached out to Bluetti?
Hey, thanks for this quick response! Yep, I have been asking in the Bluetti forum and they suggested to do a couple of zero-to-full charges to let the machine learn to calculate the capacity. Well, I keep on trying, and since I don't like to waste precious electric power just for test purposes through space heaters etc., it might take a while. The AC200max is now stuck at 14%. During my next "run" I will keep everything switched on constantly and see how that works out. If I'm exploring new things, I'll write back. Of course, usually I won't do the zero-to-full-charges under normal useage conditions...
Btw. I am very satisfied with my Jackery Explorer 1000 and Explorer 2000PRO. No frills, solid and the quietest fans I ever did not hear. Tests made by some german guys turned out that Jackery is using a unique monitoring and safety system in their powerstation. Have you tried these, too? Altogether I am holding a capacity of roughly 10 kWh, that should be a nice blackout-firewall, hehe... Greetz from Germany!
I have not had the opportunity to do a review for jackery and honestly my budget is very limited I'm hoping one day they'll reach out to us I have definitely tried reaching out to them. I will tell you I don't really worry too much about the batteries syncing with the power station when it comes to percentage unless it's really far off but good luck with your journey stay in touch and thank you so much
Fantasitc review. I just purchased an EB3A because it was a good price and I wanted to get my feet wet with solar. I also purchased a Renogy 200W portable panel. Living on the Gulf Coast I want to be prepared. We get a lot of rough weather here. Not just hurricanes but severe thunderstorms as well. I have had two recent short term power outages where powering my router and cable modem would have been nice. I also have two gasoling generators but they are a pain to drag out and hook up. I will be looking into a larger solar generator unit soon. Thanks for the review. I subbed.
Good start, challenge with EB3a is the battery is small, definitely limited run time unless you use it to charge phones tablets etc
@@TechMadeEzy Yep...I got it mostly to charge our phones and run a small laptop for short, hour or so, outages. The large units are nice but so expensive. I am thinking of going with a couple of solar suitcases, (2) 210 AH LiFePo4 batteries and a high quality inverter like the EG4 All-in-one Solar System: 3000W Inverter, 5000W MPPT, 80A Battery Charger. It may not be pretty but should serve the purpose. Anything over a 3 hour outage I will fire up the gens. Price wise it still comes in more than I wish but expanding the batteries will be much cheaper...if needed.
Edit: Upon further research the EG4 is 48V so that knocks that out of the picture. I liked it because it was an all in one unit.
Good stuff thanks 👍
Thank you
Thank you. Just ordered one and I think I made a good choice. Great review.
Hi Jeff, thank you
I hope you got a good price right now it should be 1299 if I’m not wrong.
I'm in Australia and paid 2294 AUD supposedly Black Friday sale. $1299 US is about $1973 AUD at the moment but there are a lot of factors to consider but just comparing it to previous prices it seemed pretty good. I've already got an AC180 with the 200w solar panels and have been pretty impressed. The 200max is just going to give us some more options for power outages and travelling with caravan. Cheers and thanks.
Hi I enjoy watching all your solar videos. I had a request for the future. Can you test the pure sign wave results under various loads please. Like 25% 50% 75% near 100% thank you for that tall order interested to see the results thank you god bless
I've owned 2 RVs and I've never seen the 12V DC 30 amp plug on the far left of unit.
The round 30 amp plug on the far right is a typical RV plug. I'm looking at this unit to power my RV overnight when dry camping (no hook ups) rather than running a generator.
Have you done this yet? I am researching this product for the same reason - to power my R.V. While dry camping. Just curious how it responded when you plugged your R.V. Into it.
Hi…any chance you can guesstimatimate how long your Samsung would last with the ac200 max attached to two b300 batteries? Mine is a Samsung too.
Great review as always. Might have been a little generous on the points scale! Thank you. Your pros and cons really summed it up , surprising it is lacking some of the basics ie charge/discharge time, external PowerBrick, UPS, etc. A question if I may. Using the NEMA does it have the ability to combine with another unit to do a 240 split face output with a combiner plug in hub, similar to EcoFlow.
A very happy New Year to all of you, a big hi to Brooklyn
Thanks for the comment and to be honest I don't know, I believe the AC500 has options for that, here is an official video th-cam.com/video/5snVKJbjkM0/w-d-xo.html
Great review. 👍👍👍
Thanks, David
Thanks for the review of the AC200Max. I just do think that it needs wheels to make it easier to move it around since it is bulky and heavy.
Thanks for watching
Just put it on a luggage trolley
I was just wondering how long will the charging go for refrigerator when the solar panel is connected at the same time?
Simply
the best of the best preview
Thanks
Thanks Zak you own any power stations?
@@TechMadeEzy no but looking for one that will can be used at exhibition shows selling sweets and apparels having the necessary battery to power lighting, fridge, display tv screen, waffle and coffee machine , pop corn machine etc I need a power local power station
LOL
AC200Max or even the AC200L would be a good match, they are expandable also which simply means more run time. Here is a video we did comparing both th-cam.com/video/vVMp_9IO9MI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zCGBriCYJ5Hnswe6
@@TechMadeEzy Thanks a lot
To start with I wasn’t looking at the screen, but when I heard Howard Stern telling me how the Bluetti battery pack worked, I had to turn around real quick and see what video I had landed on! Lol! Has anybody ever told you you sound like Howard Stern?😂
Robin is with me 😎
Loved it.
Thank you
Thumbs up for the pets :) subscribed for content :)
I tested mine ran aircondioner microwave and coffee pot same time no problem I tested a vdl 1200 and it rain microwave and a 8000 btu air conditioner
Pretty powerful
I found a workaround solution for the lack of wifi. You can get an older iPhone or older android phone (not your main phone) and connect that to a usb charging device permanently so the phone doesn’t die. You then connect that phone via Bluetooth to the Bluetti device. You then get teamview quick support app and you can use that on any other device like a pc or another phone to monitor the other phone. You will only be able to monitor it, not turn things on or off or adjust settings. It’s only a monitor. I’ve done it before and it works.
Would you mind explaining further please? Thanks
Pretty nice
Thank you
I been running a fridge and freezer with this for a year straight. I use solar to charge it daily.
What solar panels do you use ?
My fav panels
th-cam.com/video/TanH8z85C2s/w-d-xo.html
@randalrobinson3 100 watts HQST 12 panels 6 series 6 series then parallel. So I can get 915 most of the time. I use the charge enhancer 3 200 watt panels in series. Get 1300-1400 daily.
I am wondering….why does the Bluetti not show the wattage used when it’s so little? Like when the coffee stopped perking, but the heater was still being used….I have had mine turn off over night on me when I was running the aquarium stuff on a power outage. Becz the draw wasn’t a lot. I asked bluetti and they asked if eco was on…but it wasn’t…..I’m concerned. It does stay on over night if the draw is substantial….but I’d like to depend on it for all things, large or small..like my aquarium it’s life or death for them😳
Maybe plug in a small USB led light? That might help, they don't use much but that might help.
Great presentation! Too bad that this unit did not fit my needs. Had to go with another brand as I need one that provides a UPS mode. We have frequent power losses due to squirrels and the occasional storms. When I travel out of town I love the security of knowing that if I loose power my fridge will continue to run until power is restored, and then the a/c plug will recharge my power bank again. You do a great job on this reviews.
Thank you Shelly
I got one those meters when I build my tiny moble and ofgrid solar I used one to test everything I’m going use everything is energy efficient I have a regular solar system iv been liveing ofgrid for 5 years I just got the BLUETTI ac200 max to use as backup system untill I get separate panels for it I just tied it into my 700 watt system I could tie it into my 870 watt 24 volt I got 24 volt runs microwave fridge coffee pot basically everything my other is 5000 watt but when I get the panels for my BLUETTI it will be runnnig everything and my regular system will be my backup
Good luck James thanks for watching
If you had a solar panel hooked up while running the refrigerator test, would it have extended the run time of the fridge?
Definitely here is an example I did with another power station
th-cam.com/video/Oo-b58Zngxw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TAIomDXIWCwU1qeh
@TechMadeEzy Thanks, definitely answered my question. I'm trying to power the refrigerator on my boat for 5 days while I'm away, without the diesel generator firing up. Looks like a 2000whr power station and a solar panel array will handle that easily.(sun cooperating!)
@paulkelly4731 good luck stay in touch let me know how it goes
is it ok to use 3x405 watts panels i know maximum solar charge is only 900 would it damage the battery or would it just regulate the charge to 900 to prevent it from damaging?
It all depends on how you're setting up the panels if you're setting them up in series or you're setting them up in parallel. Be very careful and do more research before.
@@TechMadeEzy was wondering the same question he had. Assuming in series, (as in parallel would exceed amparage) would exceeding the 900w damage anything or it will just keep it at 900w rating eventhough its 1200w?
If you’re setting it up and series as long as you stay under, the voltage requirement more wattage won’t matter.
Other 2kWh power stations are more compact and easier to move around. That AC200Max is pretty big and heavy for a 2kWh power station.
True, it is a bit bigger and heavier. But, because of the batteries it has. It gives you many more charge cycles than the others. Sacrificing some ease portability for 3,500 cycles compared to 500 or 800 cycles is nice though.
If you are looking for lighter weight, you should go with the Jackery 2000 Pro. But it's more expensive and you'll get fewer than half the recharging cycles. But it all depends on your priorities. I have the Jackery 1000 Pro for camping. The AC200 Max is for running my refrigerator when the power is out.
38:00 Howard Stern knows his solar !!!
Shhh don't tell anyone
hi, are you already test with Desktop PC ? please test it and how much watt your PC?
Hi I don’t have a desktop PC but most don’t use much wattage
Can I run my dometic roof mounted reverse cycle air con & cappucino machine in my RV …
wish I knew the answer
regarding solar charging. I disagree with you, as all you need is the panels and cables. Charge controler is built in to ac200 max so they plug in directly i have 3 at 410W panels. yes they do exceed the 900 limit but I will never get enough sun to do that living in UK, and if it did exceed the limit the ac200 will just throtle it down to 900w so no harm done. other than solar input, a great review.
You are correct, but don’t forget the solar portion of this video. Really educates on the option for more solar but thank you for your comment.
May I please ask where in the UK you bought your Ecoflow unit from as I am also in the UK and like the Dean of Solar Ecoflow? Many kind thanks.
@@piamadison5539 sorry I think you are asking the wrong person, as I never mentioned Ecoflow in my coment , I have a AC200max from Ebay bought on a black friday deal saving about £100 and was given a 12 month interest free PayPal ebay deal. PayPal interest free credit is normaly only if paid within 3 months. I did actually want the Ecoflow delta pro, £3500 I wanted the ability to charge it at an ev station!, but that exceeded my credit limit so i went for ac200 max.
No Time left on display like the Ecoflow display and ecoflow has 2 100w usb c outputs and No Power Brick and lighter weight
If you are planning on sleeping in the same room while the AC charger is charging the AC200MAX you will need ear plugs. The fan is loud.
Yes but check out the new AC200L nice improvement and much quieter

What happens if you overcharge via solar does the unit shutdown?
In many cases using the wrong panel can damage the unit and void the warranty
So it doesn't have overcharge shut down protection?@@TechMadeEzy

Which unit powers my window AIRCON
Hi there
You would have to figure out the wattage it should be listed in the manual or on the website and sometimes it's listed on the unit but that's going to be important you also want to know if there's any surge wattage which I believe your air conditioner will definitely have a surge. So you need two things your surge wattage and your normal wattage then you can choose the power station that you need and just make sure it has a large enough battery so it can run as long as you need.
Buy two 12 volts 100 ah lithium battery 2000 watts pure sinewave inverter. 40 amp mppt charge controller. Or you can buy a put together system.
$1250+
It's a battery not a generator. It does not generate power.
The use of term "solar generator" is irritating and misleading.
