The reason why recluse's master of arms isn't nearly as good as it was. its not the nerf to 15% before it also buffed body shot so it did almost the same damage as crit damage as well. So they could keep it at 15% , but buff the body shot damage.
25% would just make it a better kill clip in every sense of the way, 20% would be more fitting i would say, but i will take 25% if they decide to go with that

If you want to mainly use your weapon and can’t spam abilities it’s a worse Rampage… which everyone has basically said is a dead perk. Master of Arms would be broken if it was like it was before. Unfortunately, it is so crowded in the damage boost department, you almost can’t buff it otherwise it pushes so many things out… but it’s currently much worse than Frenzy.
i ended up getting a shiny repulsor brace destabilizing rounds roll and it hasn’t really left my energy slot, personally love it more than funnel web and will probably continue to use it as my go to void weapon because it just feels really good to use. i am really sad tho that master of arms is kinda just a worse frenzy, wish it did something more than just a flat 15% damage buff since frenzy is just straight up better. now all I need is mountaintop and I can relive the days of old with mountaintop, recluse and anarchy.
Not Shiny but that was my first roll and I do like it a lot. Undecided on Destabilizing Rounds still and I imagine that my void “god roll” will land as Repulser Brave / Frenzy. Besides the damage buff Frenzy just makes every weapon feel so good with the other buffs it gives.
I have an idea for enhanced Master of Arms, once its enhanced body shots and precision shots do the same amount of damage (15% more buff to precision). This is a callback to the original buff where body and crits did the same dmg. I think this would make 15% way more acceptable since the ease of use would be so much better than any other buff in the entire game.
I got mine with dynamic and thread in the 3rd and frenzy and destab rounds in the 4th. I really love it cuz i can use two perks for pvp and switch them to usw the smg for pve. Also they do look pretty awesome.

The answer: Depends. In PvE, yes. Yes it does. It's perks are incredible for PvE, with rolls like Repulsor/Frenzy or Enlightened/Desperate Measures. In PvP, no. With 13 Zoom and only a few good perks (Enlightened, Dynamic, TTT, Desperate, and maybe 2 others), there really isn't many choices. And besides, this weapon has been soooooo power-crept by weapons like Shayura's Wrath (KW/KC), IKELOS_SMG (DSR/TTT), Parabellum (Enlightened/Adagio), even Every Waking Moment (KW/KC). There's just so many better options that The Recluse is actually baseline C-Tier in PvP compared to other baseline SMGs. The rolls I would consider getting: PvE: Corkscrew/Appended/Repulsor/Frenzy/{Range Masterwork} PvP: Hammer-Forged/Ricochet/DSR/Desperate/{Range Masterwork} If anything, the Lightweight Frame and low Reload Speed makes this weapon feel bad in PvP and PvE respectively. The low Reload Speed makes the weapon feel slow and clunky to use in PvE, while the Lightweight Frame hasn't, and still doesn't have, a true meta energy pick since Funnelweb (and maybe Out of Bounds if you tried hard enough), which feels MUCH better than any other Lightweight SMGs. In PvE, despite feeling nerfed, it's still very good for many things, and is potentially the best Void SMG for PvE now, due to it's perk options. Now don't get me wrong, feel is everything in finding a good weapon for you to use. Use what you want, and find something that sticks. Once you find that weapon, keep it and use it however you want. I'm just saying that this weapon is good (if not great) in PvE, and somewhat poor in PvP, and both of these ratings is because of the power-creep we have had.
It's not good anymore 😔 the best PvE roll is Repulsor and Destabilizing or Repulsor and Frenzy for Gyrfalcon Hunters, but even then it feels like a broken shadow of its former self.
They could bring back the old aspect of MoA that increased body shot damage but make it 80-100% instead of the 150% that it used to be. That still might be a bit too strong though lol

Funnelweb still sweeps it imo with veist stinger alone, the grenade energy regain is as expected pretty poor on recluse, and repulsor brace is pretty much recluse's only claim to fame. Repuslor brace + frenzy will end up being its best roll, but I don't think its going to hang with the best of them. On my void builds I only run Word of Crota, decent damage buff with demo.
Easy master of arms buff. Make it have stacks, a kill from a different weapon will grant 1 stack of 15% and swapping to recluse will grant a 2nd stack of 15%. Making it different enough from Harmony to grant that change.
I got Desperate Measure Subsistence and I love it. The reload is ass cause I got bad mag perks so I’m gonna be hunting for a new roll, and shooting to turn Sub into Enlightened Action. Desperate Measure is a better Golden Tri and I’m here for it, can’t wait to see what that can do enhanced and imo, for PVE Recluse clears Funnelweb cause of the origin trait and Desperate Measures along with a better selection in the 3rd column.
I feel like I’m going crazy. I got a sub/frenzy recluse to drop and i used both of those SMGs in back to back runs….and the funnelwebb just felt so much better. I’m even on MnK and my funnelwebb has max range while my recluse has 30 more stability….how in the hell is funnel more stable.
i spoke to my connect @ bungie and he said master of arms is getting a buff to 27% to 30% dmg increase within the next year, most likely when pantheon comes out or the new dlc does when we are allowed to "enhance the shinies'" perks

Master of arms needs to be buffed to like a 25% damage buff.

I got that roll first drop and it's nuts on void titan with doom fangs (intrinsic x4 void surge for dmg), over 2k kills on it right now

I love target lock. Do you really need more damage for red bars? Not really, target lock kicks in when you really need it, works great for me
