You may not. There are plenty that do. There are lots and lots of people who will drive like idiots until it literally hurts them because they've been in a major accident.
I drive to Mass every night as a truck driver, and Maine DOT is the absolute WORST at pre salting, and clearing roads. They wait until there is 5 inches on the ground before they start.
As a former MaineDOT employee, it's not the plow crews. It's management. We could only do what we were told to do and management refuses to listen to reason. We were out around the clock but we also get held up in traffic and have to stop to deal with accidents and then we were also dealing with mechanical breakdowns. The issues will never be fixed until upper management is replaced. Upper management is not qualified to hold the positions that they do.
MaineDOT will always be short staffed because they don't pay good at all. The benefits have gone downhill and management treats employees like crap. In fact, I was just terminated from MaineDOT recently after bringing some discrimination issues to human resources. It's one of the worst most thankless jobs you could have and quite honestly, until management at MaineDOT is fixed, they will always have these staffing issues. They don't want to fix the problems they have. They just terminate you so they can move on and throw someone new at the problem until that person quits or is fired. If the public knew just how poorly MaineDOT employees are treated by MaineDOT management, the public would understand why there is a major staffing shortage. It doesn't help matters that the public mostly hate MaineDOT employees and they're not bashful about telling us how they feel. I mean how would you like it if your bosses didn't like you but then some random person in the public comes up to you to tell you how awful you are just because of who you work for? Would you like the job if someone constantly came to your job and told you how awful you are? Nope probably not.
@cult of Odin I bet they're short handed too. Starting pay here in Maine is like 16 an hour for CDL driver. The towns mostly pay 20 bucks an hire starting out or more. The private sector pays 20-25 even 30 an hour starting out depending on skills and endorsements etc.
Huh... I'm thinking here why the announcement from him???? When Cops have no obligation to help save or protect you,,,, other then they'd have to leave the donut shops to answer a call!!!!!!!
Just because there is no constitutional obligation doesnt mean that most people in the profession dont have good intentions. No one has any obligation do to anything. Your teacher doesnt have an obligation to teach, walmart doesnt have an obligation to stock their shelves, I dont have an obligation to go to work and be productive.
@@blackfalcon1324 Pretty Sad if that's the best they can do!!! Specially when you can see dozens and dozens of videos each day if dirty and Corrupt Cops that cost the taxpayers 450,000,000 dollars a year in lawsuits against them!!!
@@stevenstair1068 There could be tens of thousands of bad cops in the country, there are still a million total. Also, there are bad cops and then there is having a bad day.
I’ve been living here for 47 years. I don’t need a lecture
I’m sure you don’t as well as myself . But I can tell you that plenty do

I thought mass was on Saturday night and Sunday morning. And what does being a truck driver have to do with going to church 7 nights a week?

Don't worry about what I'm doing with my time bro. Worry about what you are doing in your life.

its not just MaineDOT, its pretty much every business that has management and employees
@p0ser the point is that MaineDOT is short staffed because they choose to continue low pay, horrible benefits and horrible management.
@@davidgrant8994 you should see the pay WVDOT. 12 bucks an hour for a plow driver on winter and worker in summer.
