I never understood why he took that fight. He wasn't in full form, had more important things in his life (family), and smaller/older.

@@fatherfoopie Cejudo won round 5 for sure but he didn’t win round 2 convincingly. It could’ve gone either way. i would say 52-48 Cejudo in percentages. It was close. Cejudo finished strong, that’s why you think he definitely won.
MMA most overlooked aspect is fighting against the cage. The cage acts as another enemy or ally depending on how you use it. It could be a separate martial arts in itself and imho hasn't been fully systemized yet.
What do you base that on? You train MMA, I assume, since you make assumptions based on technique and so forth?

@@g8le I actually train MMA and he is completely right. the cage can be your friend or your enemy, it depends on how and where the fight goes.

The best example of someone using the cage I can think of is Pettis vs Henderson. Highlight jumping head kick ko off the cage.

Sean O'Malley only has 1 win over a fighter that is currently on the ufc roster and it was a controversial split decision. Sean has also been busted twice for testing positive for steroids. Aljamain has fought and beaten all of the killers. He has earned everything the hard way. Munhoz, Stamman, Rivera, Sandhagen, Yan (twice), Dillashaw, and Cejudo. There are levels to this game and Aljamain is at the very tip of the spear.

henry I can tell you about the reach advantage. The reach is measured from hand to hand and there are the shoulders and everything in between. Omalley has very small shoulders and is small overall while aljo has massive shoulders which count for the reach measure... Omalley has much longer arms

Makes no sense. You can't make your reach longer by growing bigger shoulders. It can't stretch your bones physically, so your reach will stay the same regardless of having bigger shoulders or not.

Ive thought about and commented on this too. Ngannou has something similar about his frame. 84 inch reach but shoulders are narrower, so the punch can come from a more direct angle, probably adding another couple inches, vs coming from the outside with broader shoulders

The only reason I think Sean is going to win is because literally nobody is picking him lol. The only one I’ve seen said sean is going to win was adesanya on his channel. This fight is finishing in the first. Aljo backpack rear naked, but don't be surprised if O'Malley pulls a vintage Conor 10 second KO as well.
Of course he’s gonna pick the guy who he lost too. People seem to think Sean is a fish out of water on the ground. He’s actually got really good jiu jitsu. What I would be more concerned with is Sean’s cardio over 5 rounds. I want Sean to win but it’s probably gonna end in decision by aljo. I think it’ll be closer than people will give Sean credit for but we will see

Will be interesting because Aljo was 152 on fight night vs Yan and Sean has said he gets to almost 155 regularly by fight night. So we'lll see. Sean walks around and trains around 150-155lbs year round where I'm sure you've seen the pictures of aljo weighing like 175lbs after a fight.

It's difficult to do an analysis on Krusty's because his stats are padded. The fight he had against Kris did wonders for his stats... had he fight Triple C or Merab before this championship fight, we'd be talking drastically different numbers. With regards to Aljo, he may not have power but he has durability and that wrestling/grappling gas tank will turn many killers into sissy's. Nothing worse than getting wrestle fvcked and not having an answer...

I just read an article about how Cejudo gave advice to Sterling. SMH it was ridiculous. Cejudo said that O'Malley can't control the middle of the octagon?!? He controls it when he wants to. On his time. O'Malleys cardio is top notch and his striking skills are beyond top notch. He puts pressure on after he's done piecing you up from a distance. As with every elite counter puncher. Even when circling to avoid a take down or a slug fest he maneuvers around while putting damage on his opp. After feeling out the timing and power of his opp he commits more and bullies the octagon more. With his elite striking skills O'Malley will be winning for a while. 🏆
It's not over do the work and show up we know you can beat these guys.
