Thats great, but How does it auto-fix? ( example ) On my MS 2008 for Mac, I'd just hit the tools dropdown and click: Spelling & Grammar . . . and it would Auto-Correct ? Appreciate any input.

Thanks a lot for your question. To turn auto correct on/off you can click on the File tab, then click on Options. Select Proofing in the pop -up window and click on AutoCorrect Options. Then tick the box for replace text as you type to enable AutoCorrect. I hope that helps.

I did all mentioned changes and still speeling and grammar checking doesn't work. To be frank, this is absolutlly BASIC functionality in text editor and if it doesn't work by default this is a graet evidence that Microsoft Office is a pice of.....

I agree. Microsoft can be very annoying. If you like you could try to create a whole new document with some random text and go through the steps. Then you can copy and paste the text you need in the new document. That sometimes helps.

Neither one of your solutions worked for me. I type lots of word documents. When I go back to the old ones the squiggly lines do appear but not anymore. Do you have a third solution? I'm going crazy

Hi, don't worry we will find a solution. Another common setting that you can check is when you go to File > Options > Proofing (like I showed in the second solution of the video) make sure that "check spelling as you type" is ticked.
Please also make sure that you have the right language selected that needs to be spell checked.
Please let me know if that worked :)

Try this: File>Options>Language. In the lower part of the window it should be "Office authoring languages and proofing". Make sure you have your language "proofing installed"
I have not tried it but there is an download option to the right if you language is not in the list (Add a Language).

If you are using a MacBook, it falls under tools in the top bar, then it says, Spelling and Grammar, make sure to untick them there.
