I lived in Alberta most of my life. 60 years. I remember cold like this. I hated every second of it. I live in tropical Colombia now. I love it. You are brave to live like that. I never understood how anyone could love winter....but here you are 🎉
I live in Northern Ontario…. You’re making me shiver before I have to 🤣🤣. Last Christmas my girls bought me the warmest mukluks for Christmas. My feet will forever be warm no matter the temperature. I love all your videos. I now have my hubby hooked…. When one of your videos drop we get excited because we watch it together. Out of everything you show, I love your laugh best of all !!!
Truly amazing 😊 I'm from South Texas temperature here is really hot 105 degrees. I used to live in Morehead Minnesota. I miss the snow and freezing temperatures.
Never know Texas may get cold it has happened. You all could take a winter vacation to Minnesota and get your fill and then go back to Texas. Then you will be happy to be back in warm state. Blessings.
Snow fall in Katy, Texas in February, 2021. My daughter found a snow suit for her nine month old daughter. We have a pic of baby girl sitting in the Snow. Unreal
As a Canadian, born in Sask and still in Sask, I hate winter! Loathe, detest etc. But your winter videos are magical! That winter sound I know all too well, but I've never stopped to really listen before. I will make a point of doing so this year. Thanks Jay!
Not many people have experience with 'squeaky' snow. When I was in college (just south of Canadian border) we had a week of temperatures below -30 F. Any activity in those conditions is an adventure, whether starting your car or simply taking a walk. Doing all your camping in those conditions shows that you have what our ancestors had when they conquered the wilderness in North America hundreds of years ago. For those out there watching that have never experience those temperatures, know that doing so alone puts Jay in a position where one mistake could put his life at risk. We've seen a couple close calls over the years where getting the snowmobile started took some extra effort (like moving a stove next to the machine to warm it up). Not having a way home, if he had failed, could have been a big problem for Jay, yet he tackled the issue with a positive attitude and managed to get it running, like it was a routine thing. Keep it up Jay. We'll be watching to see what other obstacles you can conquer along the way. PS. Put some chicken in that gravy and then put it over some of your Mom's baking powder biscuits. It's a real treat.
Do yourself a favour.. if you havent already burned all that old sheet plywood... build a temporary lean-to to park the sno-mo ... anything has to be better for the battery than parking in below -50ºc conditions. share a little of the building's thermal loss into a mini garage rather than the sky
Chicken dinner is way better with gravy so we'll done for that but Jay! Where's the Yorkshire Pudding?? Come on man get your Yorkshire Pudding game on point!!🤣
Awesome video thank you. I remember living in Pine City, MN in the early 60’s and we would get cold winters and walking on the snow hearing the crunching sound. Great snowy winters.
Not much words for this video then ‘ just wow’. Cant wait to see the frozen adventure start soon. What a treat this already was. Thank you for that Jay!
I have watched those older tent videos a few times over and just love the vibe. Cold & dark outside, cozy warm fire inside, and great simple cooking. I sure wish you could capture the atmosphere from the tent and bring it to the cabin. Not sure that's possible, but life moves on.
I've been following you for several years now, since the tent. I really enjoyed your adventures in that tent. You and I learned a lot...lol. Now with your cabin, I'm looking forward to this year's winter adventure. It's going to be a great one! Thanks for sharing past memories with us.
Hi Jay, Your cozy cabin is becoming more adorable as you continue to build it. I am proud of your achievements. I do miss your doggy, however. 🤗 Also, it seems to be quite early in Fall to see such low temperatures (-39°C, -50°C). It appears that we may have a very early deep frost season and it may well go into the Winter. ⛄☃️ ❤🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
I have no difficulty understanding your love for this beautiful place. Makes my heart soar, just to see it through your lens. And I don't mean your camera's lens.
Hi Jay! This is the first video of yours I've watched. I scrolled through some others but chose this one for my first. I used to love winter for the cold . You have a beautiful place there. Inside and out. Hope to watch more of your videos.
Jay. For the love of all. Take the time to install quick disconnects on your snow machine battery. That will make it easier to remove. Then, bring it into the cabin to warm up. I garantee that you snow machine will crank fast and your sled will fire up quickly.
Nice highlight real if why I love your channel 👍 looking forward to sitting in my warm living Room here in Scotland watching the super cold and deep snow life
Hello Jay i love the cabin videos but the hot tent is so so special thanks for sharing with us it so nice to see nature in the cold winter this time last week you were wearing a tee shirt
I am writing from Maine, USA, and the lowest temp I have experienced here in the middle of winter is -20 degrees F. I love the cold winter but this cold enough for even me. Everyone that lives here has at least one wood stove; they are mandatory. Great video and I really enjoyed it.
Fantastic video Jay! You're very fortunate to be able to escape to such beautiful place's. Food always tastes better when you are at the cabin or camping. And yes gravy goes fantastic with roasted chicken and vegetables. Cheers
I would absolutely love to spend a weekend up in that area one day. I really enjoy your cold cabin videos, and I always look forward to them. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Hi Jay, I followed you last winter and saw all of your video's. Looking forward for coming winter to see al your adventures. Here in Holland it's about 15 C. So hard to imagine how cold your are experiencing. Would love to be one week there to feel and see how life is in the really cold winter. But it's so dangerous, are you never afraid something might happen? Thanks for all the video's you share with us. God bless, John
The cold is coming! When your videos are 20-30 minutes, how are you spending the rest of the hours in a day? You can only cut and split so much firewood. Maybe you could tell us what a typical day is like in -40˚C temperatures! Thanks for reminding us of what is coming after your vacation in Labrador. It will be fun spending the winter watching you work on the cabin. Stay safe!
Love your channel, your can do attitude and the entertainment you provide. Hope Labrador is treating you well and look forward to the content from there.
I so remember some of those journey's and look forward to more. Oh and aren't we told Antartica is the Coldest place on earth, but how would we know since on Special Corrupt People get to access. I can't wait for more this winter. Please Pray for our USA Peeps not found yet after the Hurricane. Thanks Jay for being real. God Bless you
This was informative of the Northern Lights and how cold it gets. I missed this video, so you all have to get colder than many places especially in the USA. The food looked great, and the gravy makes it all bring it together. I will look forward to your next adventure and many more. Blessings
You are a good human with so much potential. I've been a viewer since your earlier days up in the bush. Love your project. That is so personal. Congratulations on your "shell" part. Be safe, play safe if you know what I mean. Tom in Minneapolis.
Great video Jay! It must be fascinating to those folks who have no idea about cold! You are making exceptional content. Carry on and have a great time in Labrador.🍁
I absolutely know it is not easy to survive in the extreme temperatures but sometimes you make it look easy, if someone who could not afford all the stuff that you have accumulated to survive the weather they wouldn’t last a day. I love your channel !
Jay you are having way too much fun, keep it up! I will be on my own adventure soon in the mountains of Northern California. Not as cold as northern Canada and no aura borealis but beautiful in it's own ways. I love the content please keep it up I always look forward to watching your videos.
Jay I think this was one of your best videos yet! The combination of the variety, music, drone footage was amazing. Up at my cabin in Northern British Columbia and it just hit 0 degrees C. Feels really warm after watching your video 👍
That just looks extremely relaxing up there in the cold , a warm fire , hot comfort food , reading a good book the landscape its clean looking, cant wait for winter here in PA
There is always something special about getting out in the first new snow of the season. I hope you'll be there to do that and share it with us. Stay safe and have fun.
Nice short copulation video. It been good watching you on your journey. I started watching you back when you had your first canvas tent and putting a pallet floor in. The you put in the plywood flooring. So far so good. Thanks Jay.
Thank you for converting your temperatures to Fahrenheit for us Americans.
I lived in Alberta most of my life. 60 years. I remember cold like this. I hated every second of it. I live in tropical Colombia now. I love it. You are brave to live like that. I never understood how anyone could love winter....but here you are 🎉
Wow! The storytelling in this video through your adventures thus far was impactful, Jay. Stunningly beautiful.
Watching from Australia. 30 seconds in, you're nucking futs dude. Still, I wish I was there with that fire.
Thanks Jay. Beautifully put together. Love watching you. ❤️
Very nice video. I like the compare and contrast between the tent and the cabin. Your videos are getting better and better every time.

South East Texas here. I'm ready for winter. I do sometimes miss the snow back in Ohio. I'd rather be cold than hot.
Hi Jay, I love the snow and the cold! So yes I will be watching your adventures all winter long ! Thank you for the awesome videos!
As a Canadian, born in Sask and still in Sask, I hate winter! Loathe, detest etc. But your winter videos are magical! That winter sound I know all too well, but I've never stopped to really listen before. I will make a point of doing so this year. Thanks Jay!

My favourite is when you light the fireplace ☮️🇨🇦💜
The music adds tremendously to the quality of your videos; which is an excellent story to begin with!
8:04 I love that sound ... starts around -25C or so. The sound of really cold and brittle snow crystals being crushed until my weight.
