Jayampathi Lanka Exports Pvt. Ltd is the brainchild of visionary entrepreneur Jayampathi W. Pathirana. He started the company in 1981 just after completing his higher studies with the aim of providing a life line to the grass root level of the people in Sri Lanka.
The company is strategically located in the heart of the coconut triangle of Sri Lanka where the best raw materials such as coco peat, coir (coconut fiber) and coconut husk chips available in quantity. This helps us tremendously to have an uninterrupted material supply throughout the year which will help to meet our customers’ demands on time. Further, the location of the factory facing to a main highway helps us to get the raw materials inside to the factory quite easily and dispatch the laden containers with finished goods more quickly to the Colombo Port. Presently we export over 100 x 40’HC containers per month and our products reach to more than 50 destinations in around 30 countries.
The company is equipped with state of the art machines where many are fabricated by us after years of experience to provide best results in coco peat products, hydroponic products, Green house products, animal bedding and pet bedding products, in house and roof top garden products etc. We have two production plants with all amenities such as separate ware houses for different raw materials, ample concreted floors for drying raw material cleanly and uniformly, coco peat and husk chips washing tanks, finished goods stores, loading and unloading equipment etc. Accordingly our present product portfolio consist more than 50 standard and customized products. Having said that, we like to stress, we are continually experimenting new blends of coco peat and coconut husk chips in our laboratory and outside with the help of experts to introduce improved product varieties for better results in agricultural and horticultural fields. Also, we still have the capacity to undertake any specific blends, shapes and sizes required by our valued customers according to their cultivation and growing requirements
Not limiting ourselves for the Growing medium industry alone, we ventured into the animal bedding and pet bedding industry as well and proud to say that we are the leading supplier to many famous European brands for pet bedding and terrariums.
Also, we carry variety products use for different applications such as soil erosion control mats, grow poles, grow tubes, weed control mats, basket liners, rubberized coir sheets in different sizes and thicknesses under our product portfolio. Further we supply household sweeping brooms made out of coconut husk fiber (coir) and garden sweeping brooms made out of coconut ekles. All these products are natural and eco-friendly.
We maintain the highest level of quality standards in all levels of the operation which starts from the screening of raw materials at the suppliers place well before it enters to the production floor. Thorough quality inspection at every production stage until the container loaded and dispatch from the factory ensures hassle free, uniform and well perform product reaches to the end user.
The company has won many prestigious awards and accolades for its outstanding contribution to the export market and to the community as whole. Further we have obtained all necessary certificates and approvals from Government bodies to run the factory abide by the Sri Lankan law and international standards.
