tbh, the "happy art" thing totally is me. I had so much angst as an artist when I was beginning because I thought in order to be a "real" artist I had to do a realistic style, or classical, or be totally dark and edgy. But after trying to force my art to be something it's not, just to fit in with the "real artists" I gave up and decided I'm a cute artist. I draw cute happy stuff and I'm okay with that. And once I accepted that, my art has grown in leaps and bounds and I'm finally at the point I always dreamed of being at - being able to share my art and be paid for it. I'm so happy I just about cry every time I think about it, but I'm so glad that I have finally found something that is so me, but can be art still. And I think that's the biggest lesson I've learned as an artist - don't worry about what you are not, or where you are going - stay true to yourself and it will come to you if you keep working hard at it.... /end sap/... :P

So happy you said that 'getting a following' comes when you put your heart into your work and you work hard. I've been posting my art every single day on IG for almost a year now and it's the one thing I'm most proud of doing this year (I do watercolors, @effierced). Consistency is key, is what I've found. And loving what you do, ofcourse. And luckily, others love what I make too.

I hate cleaning and can't organize anything but my to do lists to save my life. Me and my husband are both organized chaos type of humans but my son is so organized. Not sure how that happened. I had my son when I was 17 and was in my senior year of high school and I feel like that would probably be the cleanest most organized time of my life lol. I need to go through clothes mainly. I hoard t-shirts lol but it's out of hand like I can't even fit them all in my closet. Studio looks lovely though! I want it to be warm. It's like 30°f and the wind makes it feel like it's 18° I live in south Texas so I feel betrayed lol. Enjoy the summer for me!
I LOVVVEE cleaning and organizing videooos 😍💙💙(after painting ones ofc ;p ) A little tip I found useful for organizing paper, esp A4 paper or smaller... it is easier to know which paper is which if it is stored vertically in a file magazine holder.. it makes it faster to get through u know~
