I know this is an old video but do you think this deck could adapt to Twilight Masquerade? The 70hp dunsparse has 1 retreat but without it I think you just autolose to Dragapult ex
I appreciate the question! I think the downsides of the 1 retreat are too great to make that a viable option for a Moon Deck. You can still beat Dragapult just from out-speeding them. But I don't think this is the best way to play Roaring Moon anymore, and my testing backs that up. The two ways that I've had success with Moon as of late are inside a Lost Box engine, and when paired with Darkrai + Squawk/Lumineon/Mew and tons of energy switches and patches to create a super-turbo build that can take a T1 KO over 60% of the time. I'll cover the Darkrai build soon in an upcoming video.
@@lilyhorta Unfair stamp could be ok. But losing out on the item based gust feels pretty bad. Max Belt to do 270 with Calamity Storm sounds decent except that there's such a huge difference between 270 and 280
I feel like of the time that I need gust and don't have it, Bundle would rarely solve my needs. My opponent mostly has other choices to promote that are equally undesirable. I would rather play a palpad and/or second boss.
Hey, I've been playing this deck lately and have been going undefeated. Something I'd like to add to the convo and ask you about, is an adjustment of this decklist very slightly to the current meta. With lugia being so prevalent, mist energy messing up the roaring moon knockout, and the dte, legacy and other special energies I've switched out one artazon for a temple of sinnoh. I have NEVER had it not be helpful when drawn. If you can't use it normally, you can use it for the 220 attack, to remove other stadiums like festival grounds or to discard with earthen vessel. I think it's almost necessary. As far as my second thought, I haven't tried it yet, but with twm we got biancas devotion, which I think pairs perfectlyyyy with roaring moon. Better than penny. With penny, you have to reattach of course. But with bianca, you just heal it, and get to keep attacking. The big loss I see, is the one time I HAD to play roaring moon, I used penny on a turn where I had no other supprter options, to recall my moon ex, after playing dunsparce. What do you think?
@mtmkgaming2777 For a while, Dragapult was making this deck look like it was done. But you're right that the meta seems to have shifted back to make it a better pick again. I haven't tested it recently, but I remember Lugia being a fine matchup as the deck was before. That makes me think that our main issue is Legacy Energy, which Sinnoh would deal with handily. So I like that change. I'm torn on the Bianca vs Penny question. For me, Penny was rarely about picking up an injured Pokémon, and much more about removing potential targets (specifically the ex) until they are ready to be used. I like Bianca in theory, but it doesn't achieve the same purposes Penny did.
@HoopaHideout ahhh, true. So the use of penny was more about the risk of ex. Since like in your other vids, you only want him when there is something baby moon can't take out. Glad I asked cause I wasn't thinking that way! Thanks for the quick response!
@mtmkgaming2777 You're welcome! And like I said, I'm not 100% on the Penny vs Bianca's decision. Best way to decide is to pick one to play and every time you see it, make a note indicating if you want it to be Penny or Bianca. Make no now if it isn't relevant. After you have a couple dozen notes about it, you'll know which one works better for you.
Just a question do you think Thorton (if there is space) would be a good Idea for this deck? Because I can just imagine like ahh man I wish I had a powered up roaring moon ex so you can put a 2 energy single prize moon and attach an energy manually or dang I just wanna switch into a single prizer. Which with thorton you can.
I've been wondering the same. You can pull some surprise plays by discarding the ex early but overall hard to have all the pieces at the right time. Also trying to fit Thorton and Penny has been rough too
Like Gustavo said, the problem with Thorton is finding it when you want it (and playing it in place of a supporter like Sada or Guidance that you might need for energy or damage reasons). If all of those stars lined up, there are times that it could work out well. But to make that happen is probably more than a one-card change. You might be able to make it work by changing all 3 trekking shoes to 2x pokegear + 1x Thorton. But you'd have to test to see if the deck still flowed well without the trekking shoes.
I'm running Squawka + collapsed instead of the treeking shoes and boy it has saved me a lot with some clunky first hands when I only start with like greninja or moon ex in active and a nest in hand, and for now the deck has kept the flow with no problem at all, also it feels good hopefully taking a key mon out from the opponent's bench and then pop the collapsed with moon ex
Hi I am doing my best to learn this deck but am struggling with the sequencing and matchups. Do you do coaching and if so how much do you charge? Thanks, love all the content 🙌
Yes, i do offer coaching. I try to keep things cheap enough that it isn't a significant factor in deciding if someone can get coaching. If you want to pursue this further, you can reach out to me on discord so that we can discuss the specifics. I'm JGB146 (if you need the # part, it's JGB146#8419)
I don't think so, and here's why: 1) You probably only use Penny one or of every 10 games, but when you use her, it is usually game defining. 2) Arezu is going to help your draw sometime during the game. But you very often get to the dudunsparces naturally through proper sequencing and thinning. 3) Arezu isn't often going to be game defining. Playing her lets you draw with dudunsparce, but that draw doesn't come with an increase in damage nor energy acceleration. 4) It is pretty rare that you have all 3 dunsparce on bench at the start of your turn. So mostly Arezu is drawing six as part of using your Dudunsparces. Where as your other draw supporters often draw 3-6 cards, plus providing another benefit, and then you get to draw with your dudunsparces on top of that.

Thoughts about Iron Bundle used by the other top16 list? Searchable through nest, ultra ball and artazon

Hello ! Could you help me please ? Best advice to face Charizard Ex?
Try for a prize map that includes 2 one-prize KOs and 2 two-prize KOs. Avoid benching the exs until you can get a clean KO with Frenzied Gouging.
name should obviously be moon moon sparce
The community pretty much settled on Duduns and Dragons as the deck name

If Penny isn't that useful for most games wouldn't it better to swap it for a supporter that would be useful pretty much every game like Arezu
I don't think so, and here's why:
