Found this man by chance, searching for something completely unrelated (a wrestler called MVP) on Google image search and thought he had an awesome purple suit. After I downloaded his 2011 album I was *certain* he must be a legend of soul. It's ridiculous that he's just now getting his break! Damn right I bought his album after - it's instantly one of my favourite discs of all time. Live long and stay strong, Mr. Bradley, I want to hear a lot more out of you.

I grew up in the UK and my Stepfather raised me on a diet of Motown, Stax, etc... I was always jealous that I missed going to see these shows and actually being able to live in an era where that kind of music was released...
Well now I'm living that and it makes me miss my Stepfather, but the music soothes my soul!
I am so proud to have produced so my shows with him, he is a man of honor, indeed he is channeling the late great James Brown. IF you ever get a chance to see his show you will see what i mean.

I knew in my heart of hearts when I first saw this video back in 2010 that Charles was going to be somebody the world would love and take into their hearts because there's a true honesty in his heart that just pours from his voice. I recently watched the documentary made on Charles on Netflix and it was a really amazing story to hear. I'm glad he's made it and I hope to hear many more albums from the man in the coming years. : )

I'm willing to guess that the 21 people who didn't like this song are young people who listen to garbage such as Lady Gaga or that Nikki chick and do not see how absolutely powerful this song and its message is. I especially love to hear music that does not come from a fake looking person who has to be and appear outrageous to be popular. Saw Charles Bradley and Lee Fields with the Expressions / Menehan Street Band last night near Barcelona. They just blew everyone away.
This sounds like a cool 70's soundtrack. I am truly feeling the soul and 62 years today isn't that old especially if he's taken good care of himself.

This is one of my favorite artist. Charles Bradley is keepin it real. No plastic Lady Gaga or Brittany Spears here. Just great musicianship combined with raw, dirty, stripped down, honest and beautiful soul music. All of it sung from the heart and his real life experiences. Enjoy.

saw charles live tonight and although seeing him on you tube is great, nothung can prepare you for the emtion in his voice when you hear him live, he was outstanding!
I was blessed to come across Charles at a recent music festival in Arras, France. He was a real joy to watch, and the band were wonderful too - real music! Thank you Charles - I am so glad you had the determination to keep going with music. You have shared so much love with us all - thank you.
