Love this group for the sound and instrumentation and Candance’s voice. I also miss the all important third verse and especially the fourth interval omitted at the end of each verse: fu-el. Odd that you made those changes to a lovely mostly non-sectarian carol.

They do that on the album too. I suppose it's because Candace, being Jewish, would be uncomfortable singing explicitly Christian lyrics.

@@mikelarkin6697 Well, I'm a pretty devout Christian, but the song is about helping out the less fortunate so I give them a pass for not saying 'Christian men'. My biggest beef with the song is that they cut out the penultimate verse where the page says he can't go on and the king tells him to walk in his footprints.
Yes, very sad, especially considering it is a Christmas song, and Christmas is the second most important Christian holiday.
It’s a personal choice; there are bigger issues out there. When I perform it I sing, “Therefore people, all be sure.”
Why even bother doing Christmas songs if you painstakingly remove every reference to Christ or Christians?
Isn’t this a case of pagans stealing Christmas?
