When l lived in St. Annes in the 70s l used to visit Fleetwood a few occasions..ya a lovely little town to stay...quite and peaceful surroundings..a great video to watch..
Thank you for a short video of the town. I lived there between 1975 to 1977 when i attended Fleetwood Nautical college. Beautiful town and nice friendly people.
I live in birmingham but fleetwood blackpool is place I love I go every year I had a caraven on cala gran and it had good walks around the river and new houses by the docks
Went to the UK a few years back to watch a couple of football matches. Ended up in Fleetwood one day because it was the only decent match going on. It was cold, windy and foggy, I wasn't even sure if the match could take place - and it took me 20 seconds to fall in love with it all. It felt like home and the people were very warm and welcoming. I hope I can go back to Fleetwood soon
Cold and foggy ? Just a normal day then ?? Nice to hear from a European visitor . Makes a change from Guardian articles about " xenophobic hell hole " Britain. ! 👍
yes, I thought that too. In fact it all felt quite safe. I didn't go in any shops but there's plenty of space to distance and the majority of shoppers were wearing masks out in the street.
This was my home such beautiful memories...new life ..my 1st dog ..my 1st house...❤❤memories of fish n chips lazing on the beach watching my dogs play in the water, Fleetwood tram Sunday, the library..Market..can go on n on ..thank you for this got to see my house too 😘wonderful memories
Enjoyed this one, thank you. We always visit Fleetwood if we’re staying in Blackpool. It’s a lovely place and a break away from the riff-raff that’s sometimes in Blackpool. Haven’t visited affinity for many years but will do after seeing your tour through it the other day (the one that was uploaded about a month or more ago) It’s blowin a gale here too, feels a bit chilly as well considering it’s almost August...brrrrr!
@@visitfyldecoast It's going to be 82f on Friday when we arrive. So why not take advantage, Jane and get your camera ready for a nice long video in the sun.
I have only been once in Fleetwood and that was in 1968. At that time I was living in London and had a girlfriend who was born in this town and she often talked obout it. One day, out of curiosity, I took a train to Manchester and then to Blackpool and finally the famous tram to Fleetwood. Since those days I have learned that my former girlfriend passed away recently and now in my mid eighties Ilive retired in Spain having worked for many years in Germany.
I went to the grammar school in Fleetwood sadly now a housing estate - happy days It would be nice to promote the museum and to have a look round N Euston and the beautiful houses that used to over look the railway station I know someone who used to go to the school and bought a house about where the chemistry labs were and finished up digging up lots of glass test tubes in the garden!
Hi Lynne, loads and loads of content on the Visit Fylde Coast websites about the Museum. Start here - www.visitfyldecoast.info/recreation-entertainment/things-to-do/fleetwood-museum/ There is another video of that bit of Fleetwood - watch here - th-cam.com/video/u2gupkpcamM/w-d-xo.html
I now live in Edgware ,but I was born in Blackpool and I have my baptism at St Peters Church Fleetwood and lived in Fleetwood till 1976 then moved to Harpenden until 2016 I am still interested in Fleetwood
Thank you for this. It's a very good substitute for being able to get there, which I wanted to do a year ago, but of course could not. I understand the critical Carol Grant comment below. Perhaps a little more scripting would be in order. But only a little. It's the spontaneity of the commentary that makes you feel that you are really there. Here's hoping the Belmont Flats are still in business when I eventually make it to England again.

Does not inspire one to visit Fleetwood. Standing on a corner pointing a finger certainly does not make for a good video ! There was nothing of interest in this at all.
In my defence, this was one of the first videos I made. If you watch others I'd like to think you find them more interesting, as the rest of our subscribers do.
Albert Sq a fictional Sq on TV is not featured in Coronation St, its in East Enders. Sorry but these videos would come across far better esp to listeners if the narrating was done by a professional because, although the video clip aims to be informative in a chatty, friendly way, to me it is annoying ! This goes for the St Anne's one too and maybe others. Pauses in the narrative and too many personal comments by the lady who narrates in my opinion spoil it and not enhance it! It's probably done voluntarily but not impressed sorry
@@visitfyldecoast I've just viewed your vid for the 1st time. Believe me and don't change a thing. The beauty of YT videos is that anyone can contribute, and if doesn't have to be polished or professional to be admired. Don't take notice of those who only make up 1% of the moaners out there. I'm in Oz and I love your accent, so please don't worry about the naysayers. Can't wait for your next vid. :)
I live here, cracking town with good folk. It was even better before they let all the DHS and drug users in and then give them houses and flats to wreck. Shame on the council

The caravan parks are very popular - and big! There's some lovely coastal walks around there too.
Thanks and just waoo video to watch..we were there in 1993... Lovely .. memories
Looking good. Scotch bakery and Fishes are probably the two oldest shops on Lord St. They were both around in the 1960s. Nice to hear the seagulls!

Another lovely walk thankyou.
Thanks for the walk through. Plenty of trees keeping it green. If there is a queue for the fabric shop then it's my kind of place.

Well we all have our niche and this one is mine! Glad you enjoyed the video.
Albert square is in East enders not corrie
I know!
Yes I noticed that error too! 😂
Think Fleetwood is a bit underrated Cleveleys isn't bad as well
It’s straight on at the roundabout to affinity, home bargains and McDonald’s turn right to the three lights pub. Sorry Jane 😁
Are we back to me not knowing my left and right again? 😆
Do you have a video of a saxaphone player playing in Fleetwood.
Barry Smith not that I know of

Michael Mcgarry lol, I wondered if anyone would spot that slip! 10/10 for being observant 👍
Great effort. Doesn’t need a professional narrator... what camcorder?
Thanks John, apart from which who would pay for it all 😉
out of interest what camcorder are you using?

Albert square is EastEnders not coronation street
I know - slip of the tongue!
St Mary’s Catholic Church it’s absolutely gorgeous inside we had our rings blessed in this church in 2017
I’ll have to pop in when it’s open
Albert Square is Eastenders
you should not swing the camera left to right to left.....
this is very true - and that is a quite old video so I'd like to think I've improved since then!

Not really anything to do with the council. It's private owners buying cheap property and cramming people in them
